The game needs ninja/ dead silence. It's a bit of a crutch perk for me as I just hate the sound. As for maps, of the newer ones were any good surely people wouldnt want shipment 24/7 or old maps re-inteoduced?

The maps are always up for debate and scrutiny. 👀 Apart from MW19's elephant running on a tin roof footsteps, I think the footsteps were rather fair in Cold War and on Vanguard unless playing Search & Destroy they are barely noticeable. Also there is a ninja perk in Vanguard and Cold War.

Agree maps and footsteps are a big issue how do the Devs keep fucking up on this year after year.

It's supposed to be pretty much the same as MW2019. If it actually has decent maps then that's no bad thing. The core gameplay of MW2019 was solid. Although, as I've said before, if the game has super loud footsteps then I'll avoid it.

Horrible. Something you don't even contemplate happening to you when you go on them. So glad it was 2 people injured and no fatalities.

I totally get the footsteps thing, it doesn't always bother me. What usually happens is your team mates don't have quiet footsteps and they are all around. I swear team mates loud footsteps get me killed lol. There has definitely been good and bad new maps over the last few Cods. Personally I love Shipment because I'm a camo grinder and nothing is better than that map (aside longshots). However there are plenty of older maps that have never been redone. Things like Terminal and highrise which is constantly asked by the community. It's just usually the Nuketown/Summit/Jungle constantly and shit like crash, vacant etc. Personally I would love a remake of Favela, that map was badass. Or Black ops 1 Grid or Kwaloon sp?

Man, this is a hard choice. I have way too many to choose from. Pizza is definetly up there, as I do love me a good pizza pie. There's a shawarma place in town that is 100% the best in the city. I'm always a sucker for some cheeseburgers, fast food or a dedicated place like The Works here in town. They do some crazy stuffed burgers that are amazing. Sub sandwiches are a staple in the house as well. Specialty poutines at a local place here are really good too, and we can't forget wings and chicken sandwiches. Fuck it, I'm not choosing... I love them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember the first time playing Roadrash Jailbreak on a PS1 with a Multi-tap with the ability to have 4 players. What a laugh, every 10 seconds "Oi ya dick stop bashing into me!" 😂 The good thing about Jailbreak was it had the side car option, so 1 steered and drive and the other got to punch and pick up weapons like bats, chains and glass bottles and knock shit outta each other. Literally hours of fun.

food is for me and my family one of the ways you can "explore" another culture since cooking and food is SO important to us mediterranean people, we have a great time bonding over making it, trying new combos, new ingredients and i have always liked being in the kitchen, some of my earliest memories are sitting in the kitchen and watching my mum cook, "helping" her, you know passing her the salt or pepper since i was too small to be of any true help, but i am thankful that we are open minded and curious enough that we don't dismiss the cuisines of other cultures and even though we are poor and it's getting worse with the last decades shitstorms we can get a glimpse into another culture from our home even if it's miniscule

Is there not much choice of Asian food in Greece? Or is it just something you never got a chance to try because the family prefer other things as a main choice?

pizza and gyros, bbq is nice and sadly i have barely eaten anything asian so don't know that much about them to be honest

I forgot about that. That's also something that added to the camping as players could just sit in a corner and be hidden from UAVs, plus there is the fact that gunfire didn't show on the mini map. It's like IW made this game specifically for campers.

I think that's the thing though. Many people back when it comes out give over the top reviews and talk like CoD has been a 3/10 game for years. 7.5 is a fantastic score for a CoD game, but I appreciate that the game is only NOW far better because it released with so little maps. Map rotation now is so good. We get to play so many different maps and it never feels like it gets old. This has always been the case, although some games bullshit can stop that too. This game doesn't. Thursday nights event on CoD saw 5-6 of us group up and dominate all night. The only time where it felt like we probably need to practice like we used to was for a few games of Search and Destroy. More so because we haven't played that in years (sad face). I'm not finding it a campfest atm. Maybe its just because of the years moved the sweaty players away, or that map rotation is good enough to force that not happening. I'll argue with you to the end of time that now Dead Silence not in the game as a perk has made it a better game because that invokes MORE camping. Honestly, I think you'd love grouping up again on this. The content I think was the main killer for people's views when it initially came out. I think the only spawn trapping I see now is on Shipment, which lets face it, is a clusterfuck abomination of a map that you are supposed to just have fun with rather than worry about spawns and K/D. It's the world we live in today - AAA games of the last 3-8 years are the strongest out there because of the constant updates they've had. Very few AAA games now get the content that you would expect in games 10 years old where we all got it from launch. Its a shame but maybe the positive is we are now seeing these games flourish, and for people that haven't bought them, they're only £15 pre-owned.

I think any COD can have disgusting amounts of campers, but it can be more glaring in MW19 because of the way the game is designed. Like I was saying the loud footsteps makes people not want to move. Some of the maps are a campers wet dream. There is always a slimy power position in most maps, and 9/10 it's in a building or at a window at a higher elevation. The fact MW19 caters to new players with certain mentioned mechanics and a lot of new and or returning casual players. Some of these people are not confident in their gunskill so they will sit in awkward positions or lay prone amongst a doorway. There was actual "Safe Places" added to most maps, it's usually a dead bit of land at the back of the map with no traffic that people can sit at or run to if gunfights are getting too much. When I started playing cod originally it was get better or get stomped. A much different game model than of recent years.

Those things are what killed MW2019 for me. COD is supposed to be a fast paced shooter and they made it into a boring camp-fest.

I think in hindsight, the COD community overreacted on this game. Yep, I said it. A cod game in recent years is actually decent. Maybe with age and patches its become that way but i'm not sure how people felt at the time. I don't think it was the worst cod feeling back then. Definitely way more positive comments than Cold War and Vanguard for sure. We'll see what the gameplay is like but if you've had a break off CoD for some years, I don't see why its not worth a punt this time round - especially because MW2019 IS decent.

I agree they have plenty of knowledge and experience, but these days certain decisions are made for money which then affect us lot as the gamer. They try and come up with different ways to encourage people to further spend. I'm like I bought the game and that was more than enough. A good game in their eyes is figures, to us it's about the gameplay experience. Maybe they have lost touch in what a good game is. It probably doesn't help with about 14 yearly releases, the content has to dry up eventually. I expect quite a bit as most should, but as long as it plays pretty good and isn't incorporated by terrible mechanics, I'm not too fussy. It's things like firing an unsilenced weapon and not showing up as a red dot on the radar. WTF is that? Loud footsteps and no ninja perk, sound whoring and camping. That's some of the aspects MW19 brought along and with all those doors and windows lol.

However much this is true are we sure they even know how to make a good game afterall they actually think they did a good job with the first one in2019. Making a good call of duty should be the easiest thing ever especially as they have all the info/assets they could ever need.

I think there is a lot of pressure on both companies to succeed. I'm sure it's in everyone's interest to make it good and bring in those huge profits they are expecting. Hopefully for all our sakes it's an absolute belter of a game. It needs to be on the same level as MW2/BO2 imo.

Oh, i know they won't want that one 🤣 I just think they will at least be reviewing upcoming releases at a high level so if anything they don't want to be associated with, they will force it to be reworked. I wouldn't be surprised if you see the live date get pushed back because of it actually. Its very much more like Microsoft than Activision to do something like that to 'get it right first time'.

I mostly don't like using multiple launchers is the main reason - prefer to have all my games in one place ideally aka Steam. Battlenet isn't awful but it has nothing that makes it worth existing in terms of features. It's a simple and small enough platform that does the job but more of an inconvenience than anything. It's also a platform dominated by Blizzard gatekeepers so if you have an issue or criticism, it's stifled or silenced pretty quickly.

Both are true actually @Greboth. CoD will always have a big pool of players, so it would be nice for them to experiment with: Casual Core - CBMM Casual Hardcore - CBMM Competitive Core - SBMM Competitive Hardcore - SBMM On a game that still gets bought by the millions, splitting the pools like would get the desired effect. I don't want to be stomped all the time and would rather see how well I can do, but I also understand when we just wanna have a laugh and kick back in some random casual modes where games can be all over the place. Overwatch has it, Rainbow 6 has it, I don't see why they wouldn't do the same here. P.S. Obviously SBMM in those modes above could have some element of connnection based checks so you aren't playing a random thats on a ridiculously opposite ping to everyone else perhaps.

How about simply having connection based matchmaking and then a ranked playlist?

Hey Adam, my dream car is a BMW X5. I like this car very much because it is large, comfortable and has very good opinions.

I know the meta changes all the time and guns get buffed or nerfed. Never was much of a Warzone guy, but contrary to belief some of the MW weapons hold up or are on par with the Cold War and Vanguard ones. Except the new season DLC ones they are always OP to encourage people to buy the bundles. Then a few weeks or month later they nerf them to the ground rendering them useless.

Playing with friends always makes it more funerer 100%. I think what turned me off Warzone was the fact that instead of updating and making it fresh, they instead lumped 3 games worth of material into the one and made the previous games guns absolutely worthless. It just doesn't seem fair if you get me. I never owned Cold War so my loadouts that were made from MW weapons were underpowered against guns that were decades older. That said, I'll definitely play it again 😂😂

I just hope they add Dead Silence or Ninja as a perk or the game will be DOA. Who wants to play a campy, slow game? It's just boring.

Will reality live up to expectations? Probably not. The hype will be there, but if there is no maps like High rise, Terminal or Favela then it will disappoint. I'm curious to the gun selection and perk balance as well. If the game looks and plays good then it will be a monster hit on all fronts. Really has the potential to revive the corpse of COD and bring some diehard fans back. *holds breath patiently*

I'd like to think this will be similar to the most recent Modern Warfare (2019) which I really enjoyed. I'd like a more realistic looking game than these badly animated/textured games COD keep coming out with.

While I should be excited about this, as mw2 was my favorite cod ever and I spent months of game time playing it, I can’t help but think it’s gonna be another game that I play for a few weeks and then never touch again. I hope it re captures the cod magic for me but I won’t keep my hopes up. I’m sure I’ll still get it unless it looks like a dumpster fire. I have zero interest in BR games so hopefully it has a good MP selection and some re hashes of my favorites from back then.
