I am 100% getting this one today. Both @Rumelylady and myself have been anticipating this one for some time. A rouge-like with some town building sim in it where you're building a cult to the demon that resurrected you. It's got a very cute graphic style that really makes the theme and purpose of the game so witty. If you've played it or plan to, leave your thoughts and impressions here.

This really didn't click for me when I tried the demo. Will still keep my eyes on it and consider it down the line though.

I read the title and thought it was a band, but my memory kicked in and remembered that was Lamb of God. Carry on.

This has been one of the most fun games I have played in a decade. It's a mixture between The Binding of Isaac and Don't Starve. (I've heard people say Hades also, but I didn't play that) Controls are solid. Game and music are great. It's fun to be a little murderous cult leader. It's oddly adorable.

Great article, can relate to a lot. I remember having gone out and bought a guidebook to final fantasy 7 as I was struggling. Same with one of the zelda games I had. The multiplayer thing too, I absolutely love going round to Lee's to play his old games. Whilst headsets and online play you cant beat being in the same room. The tensions when we play eachother on mario kart, super tennis, track and field etc you just dont get when playing online for me

Finished the Ancient Japan chapter the other day, and I'm moving on to the old west.

Yeah. For sure the weakest entry into the soul series, and the one I’ve played the least. I have multiple completions of the other games but this one just felt bland. The introduction of power stance was cool though.

Afternoon all! A new story thread for us to keep everyone updated on all of our escapades and laughs along the way. Finally managed to get onto the DayZ PS4 server on Sunday and it was a nice surprise to see so many of us on it at the same time checking it out @ChaosGladiator @jordie1892 @Nutcuttlit @Luseth . I started my spawn in Novyshovo, or whatever its called. The furthest South West on the main land I believe. Sebba started to make his way to me, but within a few houses I felt pretty good finding some half decent loot, a full police outfit that always looks cool and is well insulated, and a couple of sharp things to bop Zombies - a Scythe being the one I ended up using first! For once, I felt confidently that I could meet Sebba at Msta, slightly North of my current destination. Probably should've waited for the truck, but anyhow, as I made my way I got caught up in a few Zombie fights. Luckily only got cut once and managed to find Seb's mahoosive truck which we then took to a solid car to swap materials and help go get Jordie considering the biggest vehicle in the game couldn't fit more than 2 people in it - FML 😅 After collecting Jordie and then Matt, we made our way to check out what the vendor looked like as Nutty was coming from the opposite side of the island at the same time. We got there and it was a like a gold mine! Anything you could need is in there. I think I like @jordie1892 's thoughts that we keep this locked down, and only really use it much later if it gets a successful turn out with FGers and also randomers. It made me really want to get going into the North West Airfield for more loot and kicking some zombies ass! However.... It had been raining - tons - since we left Electra where Jordie was, so we needed to get warm and dry our clothes. I rung my top out but saw Jordie next to the barrel fire and doing it that way. Seemed to make sense. I could just stand there and over time i'll get dry. Or so I thought. I stood close to it for a minute and then walked around for a moment but was still wet, so back to the barrel I went. Next thing I knew though, my screen went black. I thought the server needed a reset and we all got kicked off....until Jordie and Matt are laughing their tits off as i'm, apparently, on the floor, knocked out with my foot now dangled in the barrel. I have literally no idea what is going on. Everyone is laughing at my still body and i'm looking at a continued black screen. They start pouring water over me, jabbing me with meds, but no response. I start seeing a faint light but falling unconscious again. Next thing I know talk about my clothes and handcuffs comes out. This was what I couldn't see... I have to say, I'm just glad my videogame self was packing below, because clearly I was tied up, half naked and somehow losing life whilst lolz continued. No idea how this happened. Must've been getting too hot close to the fire but couldn't work it out. After 5 minutes, the server did restart, but I was then found back at the coast, so it clearly killed my half naked body through my left foot burning. I still had time to race into the nearest town, drink some water from a bottle, get sick, and then cut myself so much from Zombie fighting with said water bottle and died a second time. I'm now back in a coastal town, on top of a freight with zombies around me - again. Good, solid first day of Survival on the server with FG as per usual! 😅

This is superb @ChaosGladiator !!🤣🤣 I've struggled to get any time this past few weeks to get on - its not even been because of the damn sun either! Going to try and find some time this week to explore and do a little digging in the Airfield me thinks.

So not really story time but a quick summary. I was the only one at base back when the server just started and was waiting for Tad to finish his long long journey from the southern coast. He had finally reached close enough to be in my line of sight.........

Will this be released on PS4 and PS5?

I havent really played many survival games but i had good fun with that (the exception being that i couldnt see in the dark!) Given me a taste now so will have to check out some others (suggestions welcome!)

Yeah, the neon nightclub level is a thing to behold too. Plays very well and in single player it's very easy to control your AI squad mates. It's very tactical and slow paced, except when the shooting starts 🙂

Wowser, that looks like its come a long way already. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye this game.

Max Payne looked really stylish especially with diving around corners but FEAR's particle effects really added so much more.

I remember playing the original on PS2? Was definitely good for it's time.

I’m not gonna lie, I want really a big fan of this series. If it’s a remake like the RE2 one that improves not only the visuals, but controls, I may have a look. I also feel the FEAR series did the whole “bullet time” thing better.

Not Hufflepuff?

I was hyped when I knew they were making this but you always have some skepticism as to whether they can pull off a game that is worthy of wizarding wands and suited for all ages. That State of Play makes it look very fleshed out, more than i anticipated. The combat looks like its actually fun rather than just very basic too. Excited to explore a large open world, seems to be a game with many stories and side quests to keep you going. Hopefully the playloop will be rewarding and fun, as we all know there will be one of some kind for a game this big.

I'm excited for this.

I picked this up yesterday and had an hour or so on, it in between other games. It is very hard but the shooting mechanics are on point. You can customise your loadout and choose any weapon, nothing seems to be locked. It's very slow paced, in fact there is no run mechanic and hitting left shift just makes you walk even slower😅 The AI need constant orders but I do like getting them to disable traps for me. Very happy with it and I can recommend if you like your shooter experience to be hard core and tactical.

Oh well, that's their loss as this game is absolutely thriving whilst they are virtue signalling😅

BigFry's video the other day got me a bit worried - sounds like a lot of red tape surrounding this game. Not sure what's going on about the publisher situation but hopefully they have self-fund or pick someone up now that it's out and doing well.

The only thing holding me back is some behinds the scenes shenanigans around the reason its now live and also their publisher that worries me a little...but yeah I agree @GazzaGarratt you would want a few of us getting it and doing it properly.

I think the last video you shared highlights it has some playability but possibly more so in a co-op situation. Let us know how you get on because i'd probably hold my monies until we saw some more feedback and if others here are willing to play and join in together on it. It would be some intense gaming sessions anyway!

Pretty good insight into gameplay

Game has released today in early access and is currently sitting at Overwhelmingly Positive reviews. £31. Definitely might have a look at this as it's giving me SWAT 3/4 vibes and way more authentic than Rainbow Six.

Yeah it's been in development for ages. You can access it before launch by buying the super duper version but yeah that's not happening. Still will keep an eye as its getting decent feedback and there's a Drewski video where he plays it with AI team mates that shows it off quite well.

Keep forgetting this game exists - feels like it's been around for years and still isn't out yet. I've never been too keen on the name just like that other game called Nine to Five but I hope it develops into a recognised tactical shooter that's of some quality.

Good concept, still looks rough around the edges. It does feel like there hasn't been a good squad game like this since Rainbow Six 3 I played on the OG Xbox.
