So Warzone is free. They also have a smaller map which is called Rebirth Island. They've been able to create Private matches for some time and I think due to this being free, we should try and find a weekend evening where we can get as many FGers, old and new to try and jump in for a few games together. I'm going to try and push this out via the ol' socials too to see if we can get some interest but would love it if I could get your help too. I'm thinking for something near the end of May/start of June so we have time to drum up some interest in it. Rebirth Island can hold 40 players I think and obviously we can do more on the larger map. We can also play the modes where we can put extra respawns on too. Does anyone like the sound of this? Like the old teams such as Alliance, FPSHQ, T2K , Alliance, Destruction Inc, Noobz, etc? Maybe its a good way to help all of the CoD and FGers to get involved in something super big! And i'm sure lots of funny clips of killing each other won't go a miss 😎 Put your names down if you're in below and also if you can help me spread the word and nudge everyone on the planet. 👊

I think there's reason to have some faith in it this time out. I can honestly see a small rise in quality given the recent sale of Activision. Not ground-breaking i'm sure but it should do the franchise a little goodness. The fact the logo looks like MW2019 follow up holds good signs as its definitely the best one out of the last 3/4 years. Still very well supported and Warzone definitely helps it for that reason. You should give Warzone a go with us, its honestly how you play it that helps you realise its more fun that it sounds. Too many people go into it in a sweaty mentality and think they should be winning or coming top 10 all the time but thats stupid. When you relax and play the game similar to MP mode, just on a larger scale, the game does feel more rewarding. I tend to think MW2019 has a really good following here now Gaz, might be worth dropping on it on the weekend for a few MP games. Dead silence hasn't been a huge problem in it of late and I can see why its given out differently due to how many people want to sound whore all the time - it would just waste a perk slot imo. New Content™ everybody 😎 I'm not as hyped as you are but definitely higher hopes than normal. And hopefully the other night on Warzone changed your opinion somewhat on the mode. Definitely has more legs in that mode than people think.

I recently looked at getting it on PC but refrained myself atm. There seems to be literally TONS of DLC updates to the game on PC so are they available on console too? I really wish they could make a sim game co-operative. Making an attraction site with someone else would be so cool.

Yeah, clearly nostalgia didn't perk Sony's interest enough, which begs the question if there is something underlying in the franchises that Square Enix let go. I mean, we haven't seen a Deus Ex game in years so really its just recycling Tomb Raider old games now. At least there is a new one on the way but unsure what development had even started on that. Randy Pitchford from Epic tweeted yesterday about it...I didn't think Embracer Group was Epic, but are they?

MW2 by name and MW3 by branding. Very much doubt it'll be able to live up to those classics and I'm really not sure on the name conflict with the iconic original. A reveal must be pretty imminent but my interest is fairly minimal. I don't have much confidence left in the franchise and Microsoft's near-acquisition of the company had no bearings on development or likely anything post-launch so this is still very much a COD title of recent. That being said, IW are probably the strongest part left of the series but they are still a shadow of their former selves and unless the cheating epidemic is addressed, it could be tarnished before it's even got started.

Resurrecting our dear ol' megathread! We've had some top nights on Warzone of late. Definitely enjoying when we jump in to quickly call out a target of kills and number of contracts to complete in a game. @J-Lurch , @Macca89 , @LordBaguette and myself have done a few games and had some great top 10 finishes. Some lovely team wipes too. Tom and my gamertags didn't show on this post match report but it was a top game nonetheless. Shame it ended with me being taken out cleanly by a sniper after Macca did the hard work in getting us back in the game for the small circle showdown 🤣 I'll get the clip added shortly! Another 10+ kills as a team with James and Macca. We ended up 3rd in this game. And finally, what a game this was. Managed to get Cal 'Bobby Sandstorm' @TheMuggySpud on the Warzone journey, with Connor @JamaicanSteve by our side. Macca was going ham with the HDR, popping people's heads clean off whilst we were running our arses off to stay alive in the zone. I don't think Cal was ready for my objective based play as at one stage as he had no clue where I was...only to check the map and see me 500m away grabbing a contract cos I just can't sit still and snipe 🤣 We nearly made it to the end, when the boxes restocked. We grabbed a few extra perks and set off up the hill, only to be blindsided and caught up between a few teams. Pretty sure finished 5th overall but a never-ending rollercoaster of game with 18 kills as a team was a great feeling. Let's get some more stories up on how you've got on for Warzone. Don't care what mode, just share how you've been getting on!

Playing with friends always makes it more funerer 100%. I think what turned me off Warzone was the fact that instead of updating and making it fresh, they instead lumped 3 games worth of material into the one and made the previous games guns absolutely worthless. It just doesn't seem fair if you get me. I never owned Cold War so my loadouts that were made from MW weapons were underpowered against guns that were decades older. That said, I'll definitely play it again 😂😂

Fair play. For £1.35 you get to play Resident Evil Tetris styled inventory management. Like the ideas and I imagine for a few hours gameplay to pay just over a quid is pretty decent. Nice find @J4MES OX4D

Has anyone given this a try? Does anyone enjoy these tycoon type of games? I've always loved this genre but I know console editions are always barebone versions of the full game. I just have the urge this week to build a rollercoaster that has the potential to kill guests by the bucket load and this seems to be the only Theme Park game around these days.

I had a look at this the other day as it peaked my interest. It's cool to see an online multiplayer thats not just a shooter so this may be one I download and have a go at 😊

This is brilliant news because fuck Square Enix - they've lost their iconic brands just so they have some funds freed up so they can invest in NFT's and bloody blockchain bollocks. These games will be in better hands by default and hopefully we'll see a new Deus Ex and Thief title down the line. Square couldn't even wait until the new Unreal 5 Tomb Raider game was finished before cashing in which shows their knee-jerk desperation to get ahead of this bullshit game. Compared to EA, 2K and Ubisoft, Square have come off quite lightly in the last decade but I along with many others maintain they are just as bad, if not worse in most cases. $300m seems quite light for such a vast catalogue too and what's even more glorious is that Squre's recent bunch of live services have been humiliating failures. Hopefully we'll now see these seemingly dead franchises revived by a company that actually cares about them rather than trying to milk microtransactions and flog JPEG's for millions. A huge missed opportunity for sleepy Sony though.

Yeah, my wife loved her back in the day and we've been to a few of her concerts. She really does put on a show. The acrobat one she did here, she even jumped into a huge pool of water near the end!

MW2 was the last CoD game I ever played. It'll be interesting to see how this one fairs. I'm sure it'll be a hit for the MP as usual. I just wish they'd create some new IPs with some of these studios.

Nobody would've even entertained this idea. It's a very niche market, their company was worth fuck all and their total employees was 50. This will be a massaged number and will likely include people they employed on Fiverr.com at some point to create a logo. Anyone with a bit of cash could start up a company better than them with the cash in their sofa, so the risk of spending a million quid or whatever to purchase a company which has committed suicide on social media is such a high risk that not even the highest risk merger broker would consider it.

Yay, another CoD. I can barely contain my excitement.

Will reality live up to expectations? Probably not. The hype will be there, but if there is no maps like High rise, Terminal or Favela then it will disappoint. I'm curious to the gun selection and perk balance as well. If the game looks and plays good then it will be a monster hit on all fronts. Really has the potential to revive the corpse of COD and bring some diehard fans back. *holds breath patiently*

I'd like to think this will be similar to the most recent Modern Warfare (2019) which I really enjoyed. I'd like a more realistic looking game than these badly animated/textured games COD keep coming out with.
