  2. I've no idea what possessed me to watch a Michael Bay film, perhaps a bit of hope and a trailer that made it look pretty decent and it's got Jake Gyllenhaal in it. What I got in return was a set of action pieces which were clearly made beforehand and then the rest of the film scribbled around them to try and make it work. The camera tricks were absolutely fucking pathetic and seemed like more of a look-what-we-can-do thing than a let's-make-a-good-film thing, it had scenes in it which went beyond making no sense and full speed in to intelligence insulting territory, many of which were completely and utterly pointless and served zero purpose for the story, the characters or anything. There are little camera angles throughout the 30 minutes we lasted that were clearly trying to create drama but just fell flat on their arse, the characters may as well have been cardboard cutouts and whilst I appreciate a good car as much as the next guy, not every single character in the film needs to drive a GTR or a Mustang or a classic Bronco. I have to hand it to him, if he wanted to create quite possibly one of the worst films ever, he's achieved that with alarming success. It's so shit that even a 0/10 wouldn't do it justice. It actually irritated me, that's how stupid it must think its viewers are. On the other hand we watched Moonfall. On paper a ridiculous premise, in practice it was actually quite good, but ho-lee-fuck do they drag it out. The film could've been half the length and been great, but they dragged it on and on and on so that when we got to the they-all-live-happily-ever-after phase of the film, I just turned it off for fear of having to watch another 30 minutes of it. Such a shame as it had some serious potential early on. Still, it didn't treat us like idiots and that alone scores it a 6/10.

    Elden Ring

I'll never touch another From Software game again. I played Bloodborne for a bit and hated it. I sucked absolute donkeyballs at it which of course is no indication of my skill but rather that it's a shit game. I'm far too stupid for these things 😞 The Let Me Solo Her story was absolutely fantastic though.

Very, very easily. I could spend $50m in a day, once you see how rich people spend money it changes your outlook on life. Apart from the usual yachts / private jets / all that nonsense there's the daily stuff. When income increases, so does the cost of outgoings. We spend a couple of quid on bread and milk, they spend £15 on the same because it's all organic fresh fairtrade blablabla that's bought in by the staff, not them. I spent two years working directly for a chap worth £5b. Yes, billion with a B. The stories I could tell you would blow your mind. Here's one - I was chatting to his PA one day who was flapping around the office as if the world was collapsing. I asked her what was up and she told me he missed his flight. I didn't understand how this could be such a drama so simply asked if she couldn't book him a new flight, just ring BA or whatever. How wrong was I. He had a slot booked for his own private jet at the airport. The jet was on the tarmac ready to go, fully fuelled, pilot and crew on board, food and drink, the lot. The slot cost £15k and it was a 15 minute slot. This means that ATC is on standby for 15 minutes and he owns the runway for that duration. He missed his slot which meant he had to pay another £15k to the airport for a new one, which wasn't available, so he had to buy a slot from someone else for £50k. Yes, there are people out there who book slots with no intention of flying just so they can profit off this kind of thing. He shrugged this off as I would putting out half a fag. It was absolutely nothing to him, pocket change. That's how these people work, money is absolutely not on their radar at all.

So with the draft coming up this week it's time to start looking forward to the new NFL season. There have been quite a few trades gone on already so far this preseason, especially with some nig QB moves. Seeing Matt Ryan leave the Falcons for the Colts was not something I was expecting, but hopefully this means they are starting to rebuild the team. I was surprised to see Tyreek Hill leave for Miami too given the success he was having with Mahomes in Kansas City. In case anyone missed them, the main trades so far have been: Devante Parker - Dolphins to Patriots Tyreek Hill - Chiefs to Miami Matt Ryan - Falcons to Colts Deshaun Watson - Texans to Browns Devante Adams - Packers to Raiders Khalil Mack - Browns to Chargers Amari Cooper - Cowboys to Browns Carson Wentz - Colts to Washington Russell Wilson - Seahawks to Broncos It will be very interesting to see how these trades affect each team, and the AFC West is looking like the strongest QB wise now with Mahomes, Carr, Herbert and Wilson all in the same division. A repeat of last year, Jacksonville have the first pick of the draft, so it will be interesting to see whether they go offensive again this year to add to Lawrence, who I think could have a pretty decent second season after picking up a bit at the end of last season. Atlanta have the 8th pick and i'm hoping that they do something to add to the offense as Pitts and Patterson both have the potential to have great seasons, and I really hope Mariota can prive to be worthy of stepping into Matt Ryans shoes and be a reliable QB. Here are a couple of links to info about the draft and the prospects going into it, I'm really looking forward to another great NFL season 🙂 The Ringer’s 2022 NFL Draft Guide NFLDRAFT.THERINGER.COM Should Kayvon Thibodeaux or Aidan Hutchinson—or someone else—be the no. 1 overall pick...

    Last movie you watched

Fuck me that film irritated me so much that I'm still thinking about it. Naturally I need to confirm my opinion by finding other people with similar opinions, which are all on IMDB. I thought I'd give twitter a go, and it's full of praise for the film confirming even more that Twitter is full of people who probably shouldn't be allowed shoelaces.

  9. I'm actually excited about this one. Imo there wasn't a good CoD since Black Ops 2 up until the MW reboot. Then after, there hasn't been a good CoD since. I have a feeling ill love this one too as its using the same engine. Couldn't give 2 shades of a shit about the BR mode though unfortunately.

    Artesian Builds

If their balance sheet didn't have so many underlying liabilities unknown then they probably could have attracted a buyer for a quick turnaround. Not many custom PC manufacturers have a rolling $1m of ongoing orders at any given time, partnerships with Intel and several other major companies, plus more importantly, they had a highly established supply chain with concrete guarantees which in today's horrendous component market is absolutely critical and almost unheard of. There was also an estimated $500k in stock plus relationships with content creators also added some value. If the accounts were clean and the CEO was ousted then they probably could've got a successful quick sale with view of a re-brand whilst retaining all commercial contracts and relationships. Anyone replicating a company like this would not only struggle to get stock, they'd be lucky to even get a wholesale margin and I would dread to think what the minimum purchase order would be for some components. Artesian's contracts were bloody lucrative as hell - if they wanted 100 3090's the next day at 60% retail they would've got them landed and not even the most established retailers could manage that even paying the retail rate.

  12. Having just completed House of Ashes I thought I would see if anyone else has been playing the Dark Pictures Anthology games - Man of Medan, Little Hope, and House of Ashes, with The Devil in Me still to be released. Being a horror game and movie fan I really enjoy these games and have since I played Until Dawn, which is now rumoured to be remade to bring into the Dark Pictures timeline. I like that each of the games has a different type of horror that it bases itself on, rather than repeating with each game. I think House of Ashes has been my favourite as I enjoy action horror games, but Little Hope was very close as the more supernatural element really appealed to me. The Devil in Me looks to be going down the serial killer/Saw horror style route, which again differs from the others and will offer a different experience, so I am looking forward to that at the moment. I have only played each of them once, although I have been tempted to replay them as they are only relatively short games, and have only managed to 2 survivors at the end of each game lol. I thought I managed to get 4 near the end of Little Hope, then choices i'd made much earlier in the game came back to bite me in the ass and I only got 2 to the end, and House of Ashes teased me with 4 surviviors then I lost one to a last minute decision and one during the QTE action scene at the very end of the game so only got 2 survivors 🤦‍♂️😂 It will be interesting to see if anyone else has played them and what their thoughts are on the series 🙂

How different are people finding Elden Ring to Bloodborne in terms of mechanics?

  14. I've genuinely never tried them @Antpool84 , as they've never really been in the forefront of my mind. Are they small indie styled games or more just linear story driven campaigns?

I suppose the more you have the more you spend. A lifestyle that most average folk can't fathom. I know you can spend a shitload on cars and yachts and mansions and a helipad to house a spiffing chopper. What I can't get is how he went from money to no money. I mean if it was me, surely there is a transition period where you would be like I better go to Aldi for the shopping instead of buying the overpriced stuff. It's hard to imagine for me. I get it and understand how money can be spent so quick. Where is the self control and reigning back the spending to survive. That story is Wild man. 15k and wasn't even used and it was nothing at all. Felt like pence to them. It just shocks me how wreckless some people are with money. Especially a lot of money. Think of all the good things you could do with it to help others. I do remember Boris had a big divorce settlement in the early 2000's. It just blows my mind how wasteful rich people are. 😳

Alright! Finally killed Godrick after messing around and exploring Limgrave for the better part of 20+ hours. Stormveil Castle was fun running through for the most part. I'm heading into Lunaria of The Lakes now. Right off the top, I HATE those massive lobsters that stun lock you with that fucking spit attack. !@#$

  18. Finally watched No time to die, thought as it was on Amazon I'd sit through it, wish I hadn't bothered. The Daniel Craig era to me has been awful but this was one film too far, not only a bad Daniel Craig film a bad film fullstop, one of the worst ever. The film is way too long, nothing much happens and Freddie Mercury is possibly the worst bond baddie of all time. Thank fuck they killed bond, if things don't improve moving forward then they may as well let the franchise die than churn out shit like this.
