So after trying numerous times I finally got my Playstation Wrap 2021 to work and thought it would be cool to share and compare what we were all playing last year, how many new trophies we got, and how many hours of glorious gaming we had. Under the radar game (again) and after re-reading this thread, i'll admit i'm hyped but keeping it very under wraps. The thrill of the night time mixed with Parkour was something to behold.

Not been trying to post in here about the Championship, mainly because I don't want to jinx it! 😄 All i'll say is that the seeing is an absolute cracker in the Championship so far. Everyone beating everyone, and I think it shows how good a league can be with tight squads. Even the likes of Fulham, Bournemouth and West Brom have not been allowed to run away with it....just yet. I geniunely think that Derby will also stay up now! -21 points and only 8 points away from getting out of the relegation zone. Especially 19 games to go. Mental season.

Tbf, Day One whilst anyone trying a raid goes in to try and complete, based on previous contest modes we aren't goign to get majorly far so i'm not concerned about busting a gut for hours on end. However, I wouldn't say its the sweats, I genuinely believe most of us can do a Week One completion as after that Day 1 contest mode is switched off, we should feel the change up in getting through the raid. Make sure you're available both weekends buddy. We need to change the mentality that we have to wait ages to raid and be ridiculously overlevelled to complete it. 👊

Been many years since I last played this but it's an utterly excellent game and I will have to do it again soon now that it's complete.

Sorry for reviving an old thread but I have so much love for the Arctis 3 (the cheaper version of the 7), I've been using mine for 2 years so far and the sound quality is just superb. I'm no audio enthusiast but it's a great pair of cans for Xbox gaming and Spotify sessions on the good ole mobile phone. Plus really, it's super cheap. Became even cheaper now that there are better Arctis out there so if you're strapped for cash, don't disregard it completely yet.

As I was definitely happy to leave that vog day one run I'm happy to let you raid sweats give that a go but I'd like to get in on some more raids starting next season. I'll be back to weekends only at that time though.

Absolutely cracking game I went to today - Oxford beat Sheff Wed 3-2 after coming twice from behind to do the double over them. Watch us lose to bottom of the league next week though😂

I won't pick it up at launch but with the postponement of Stalker 2 I think I'll be on it pretty soon after. It looks good and I hope the parkour and melee is done well. Tempted to reinstall the first one again in the meantime.

This arrives in a couple of weeks and I'm bloody tempted to grab it from the off even if that means playing Elden Ring and GT7 a little later than planned. It's been in development for 5 years and whilst it doesn't look like a huge leap forward over the original, it will certainly be laden with content on what should be a very enjoyable gameplay foundation. The original game which has been out for a staggering 7 years already had been one of the most underappreciated success stories of the last generation and developers Techland provided some excellent post-launch support with that. Dying Light sold 17m copies by 2019 and is probably past 20m now which is crazy but completely deserved. I just hope the sequel can capture the same level of interest and quality.

I finally got around to playing Rimworld last night before and after D&D, and I'm hating myself for taking so long to try it out. I'm totally in love.

I got a whopping 35 hours but I swear it's wrong as I played Bloodborne for 30 and Dark Souls on PS5 for 15 along with some hours on FIFA 22 and the Matrix game.

Such a pity they are on the verge of liquidation. Been following this loosely last few days and I didn't realise how serious it was. If they don't survive the league then I hope they survive as a club and I'm sure they will bounce back. It would be incredible of them if they stayed up and the amount of big teams they've beaten this year is insane. Shite ownership once again destroying a club.

After convincing/challenging Carl @TurboR56Mini to make the entrance underneath the OG base, we've now made huge progress to the underground network, connecting it fully to the Big Base, Horde Base and work has started on the tunnel to the Bad Place 😄 We've toyed around with the lighting and came up with a snazzy Lamp Post effect, that is inside the walls. Carl has been incredible on it, and its been a pleasure working it all out with him. I've also started on the huge space of nothingness in the Big Base so we can make more of it, adding a slanted roof. However, as the Stability has been creaking, we needed to start getting rid of the remaining rock underneath the surface. This led to a bit of the existing part falling down (@crispymorgan - your Plane Tower took a hit) but if we don't do it now, we won't be able to build anything in that area. I'll grab some pics when I can. I also think La and Carl should share pics of the Bad Place as the house looks great and its a great place to chill out and mine underneath too! Penis Ball Art FTW 😎

Even if he gets the inevitable payout, it sounds like he will go which can only be a good thing. I don't think changes anything straight away, imo. Immediate positives through a few games on GamePass but longer term i have my doubts. But thats also gaming in general. 100% agree with the money model is not after $69, which is the more slightly concerning issue here in general. Agreed again. Culture is changing and people seem to want this as a feature as they don't want to change allegiances in platforms. Although, I think this has become a glorified bonus personally as many won't/don't want to play with crossplay on in an FPS game. I think for me the gaming industry has shifted already. We've talked before on how consumers gorge content like no tomorrow and waiting 7 years for an original AAA masterpiece is very difficult to wait for these days. I think many games won't be at the same quality if we keep forcing consumers down a rental service. Movie industry is a prime example that has seen this impact. Over time, the real winners will be the games that keep alive via Live Service, or can create sequels that are essentially add-ons. In a weird sense, could be fantastic news for Overwatch 2. Release smaller content drops more regularly. People want to play all the games and don't want to be held down to one anymore by Game Producers. We'll see how quick they can actually churn out AAA games to match what Sony have produced in the last 5 years. I think they can, but could take another 5 years to come side by side.

Any of you guys know what the next 2 DLCs are? I was checking the Xbox sales at the moment (Lunar Year), passed by the premium content and saw the game will be having 2 DLCs soon. I wonder if these are new maps, or new activities which are still within Mexico. Played this a lot but got bummed out a little after I completed all events. Fantastic game. Very casual and chill. I just didn't find the urge to go through the smaller activities anymore. My regret for stopping is I was unable to attain the Mercedes flagship car in the trailers. It looks so awesome @_@

There is no money to be made in selling gaming platforms. XBOX sales at a loss. The margins are shit. With regards to the devs, once they are part of MS they become part of the bigger picture and $.13 cuts is not an issue for the MS group. They will be recognized based on gaming revenue. Just like I get recognized for datacenter revenues at Intel but work on probably less than 5% of the product offering and have absolutely zero to do with the CPU business. That's how these massive companies work. Intel is $78 Billion. My paycheck is based on Intel achieving better than $78 Billion this year. People don't count each of our products and brake it down, I suspect MS will do the same. They won't care how much Skyrim or COD puts into the business. They will care on how profitable the gaming business is. If a game isn't they likely will more people around and put them on the next project. The job market is extremely competitive these days. I don't for a minute believe that the developers won't end up ahead with this deal

I really hope they sort it out properly. I'd love a good shooter again.

Tonight's update - the Player Vault is now open across from The Boom Boom Room. All of your boxes and items have been secured and ready for your use. We've also given some additional presents. @Plumbers Crack and @crispymorgan take a peak among others. The farm has been at least doubled with around 100 plots being added. The stairs to the garage and Pink Mist room have been reconfigured along with a some more work done down there. All the exterior walls are now double thick and it's coming along. The tunnel is passable on a bike which if I'm honest, the best way to travel for ease of turning. The kitchen renovation has also been completed with some fresh paint, extra storage, and more ease of use. Added another chem station as well as part of the farm renovation. Lastly, if y'all can move your nasty bedrolls to somewhere out of the smelting area and kitchen, that would great. It fucks with my mild OCD in these games 😎

I'm not precious about buildings i am about my character, I don't really want to start again. I'm happy to keep as it is and I guess you feel the same 😁

Scoreboard coming next month and it's not going to be called any 'legacy' bullshit either. It's the real deal although it does look a bit nasty in terms of colours and bloat. Cannot believe it's taken 4 months to get the most simplest feature into the game. It's also been an absolute shit-show between the developers and the community majority on getting this in with Vince Zampella saving the day it seems.

Game Pass is a terrible deal for developers so the only way Microsoft can expand their game range for that is by directly acquiring the developers/publishers for themselves. It's definitely a good deal for gamers but some developers are walking away with under 50 cents an install as opposed to up to $60 licence ownership to the consumer minus any distribution cuts. Not every game has additional revenue streams either. Just like the Epic Games Store, the pass once hosted older games that already reached peak revenue potential but now MS want newer titles straight on there and the only way they can do that without stumping up lump sum fees is by owning the publishers themselves. Centralising gaming like this could reduce output quality going forward and increase already tight internal competition so I really hope that it doesn't have a negative affect on newer releases that may go on there. Could also increase bullshit like NFT's to mitigate any reduced revenue as we've already seen with STALKER 2 who are already confirmed to be on the pass day one.

On top of this their cross play and cross saving features between PC and Xbox make it a huge seller.

I believe this is to increase their GamePass and cloud gaming. A lot of people are working on making consoles disappear so having a solid porfolio is Key. They have Bethesda, EA, Activision now. I can forsee them having various tiers for the subscriptions and getting a constant revenue stream by not charging for the games and charging for in game content. Companies were already making a shitload of money that way. The $69 for the game is not what companies are after these days. I have their gamePass and generally speaking I am happy with it. All the games are older games but I don't give a shit. Most of them are fun to play. Been playing Doom, Battlefield, Skyrim, Oblivion all for an extra $4 on top of the gold membership. Most of the time I am playing off my laptop on the cloud. Much better experience than Vanguard or 2042 has to offer

This... a million to this. I understand that the tinned food recipes give lots more health and whatnot, but the effort to get the tins for our group is higher in the effort than making things like Hobo Stew or Meat Stew. We have ingredients for those in spades. Every time we hunt for fat, we come back with hundreds of meat, which we can sell half and keep half.. and we still have like a shit ton of meat. The cooks and the farmers of the team (me, @GazzaGarratt, @tronic44) can stretch the resources better than non-farmers/non-cooks. The harvesters/hunters (like @TurboR56Mini ) always come back with so much meat and bones when hunting for fat. The amount of time it takes to get the ingredients for meat stew or hobo stew is a fraction of time it takes to accumulate the same amount of tinned resources for equal amount of health in tinned food vs. non-tinned food. Obviously, I will always bring back any canned food I find, but more often than not, I can make 30 meat stew for the team as opposed to like 2 tinned-recipe foods for the team.

True but it doesn't hurt to check the vendo's as you go past them. The other thing with the tinned food...if it isn't used in a recipe, just eat it as you pick it up. Thinking mainly of chicken rations here

Although I'm not a huge fan of these sandbox racing games, I can't help but appreciate the sheer level of polish that these developers offer in them. It looks absolutely remarkable in places and the technical quality is some of the most refined I have ever seen. Horizon 3 and 4 were both incredible and 5 looks to be another stunning experience
