My stats for 2021.

Soooo.. lol. @TurboR56Mini and I tried this one on our 2nd horde night, and it failed miserably as the zombies took out the columns below instead of going up the stairs. Good times. Hahah. Also, fantastic! I am also trying to upgrade my food skills and at the third level... so you don't feel completely burdened with it. Same for Physician skills. I can make first aid kits, which require Beer, Blood bags, and Sewing Kits. The regular bandages we can make from scrap cloth. Carl and I have been having a blast dropping so many hours into this game. It's been a blast playing with everyone. I hear that even @FallenDark200 will join in!

Drones! I can make Level 3 drones! Or 4. I can't remember what level I dumped some points into. We will be on again tonight, but probably after everyone else because we won't be on until 5pm ET... I'll try to log on with Carl during lunch for a few moments to repair the horde building for the upcoming horde night.

My issue with it was the crazy grind to get to rank 16, Bungie are fixated on this stupid 'streak' system for vendor xp. So having ground out about 60 completions I've had my fill - I know I didnt have to do that, but given the rank will likely reset in 6 weeks time, the only way to hit 16 is to grind like hell. Cant even argue its just cosmetics - the catalyst to foerunner is tied to rank 16 as well. As a game mode i actually quite enjoyed it, and it has a few decent weapons tied to it for roll-chasing. So i think its a good addition, just the streak system is a very bad idea - the beauty of Destiny is its variety, you would think Bungie themselves understand that. They need to look at stats for the players who've played the game mode exclusively to get to 16, then either burnt out and dropped off, or never touched the game mode again !

I'm finally getting to the end of The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher which has been a great read. It's a very unusual horror story that has had some really creepy moments. I would recommend it to any horror fan, deffo a good read. My plan for this year is to read at least 6 books (probably doesn't sound like a lot but at my current reading pace its a good target lol). Currently got these on the to read list: Dave Grohl: The Storyteller The Bazaar of Bad Dreams - Stephen King Disappearance at Devils Rock - Paul Tremblay The Year of the Witching - Alexis Henderson Ayoade on Ayoade - Richard Ayoade I use the Goodreads app to keep track of my reading and would recommend it as you can create a to read list and update your progress on your current read 😁

You guys know Paul Tassi - writes about Destiny on Forbes so I guess some of you will. He's written a few books as well - Earthborn Trilogy was pretty good, but my favourites are the HeroKiller 1 & 2. Really good read

I've had a couple of days away but I think I'll be on a bit today and this evening. Last time I was on I went for a ride and I can't remember now where I logged off. So that will be interesting. I hear at least one brave soul is going to look for a trader in the radiation zone, which can only end well 😁

I'm too afraid to look to see how much it is, but then it'll probably be marked up to the hilt if it's ever even available to joe public.

I got a bajillion pairs of socks, a few bottles of whisky, new sexy controller for the laptop and some Bose headphones for walking the dog aswell as some hats with lights in for night walkies lol Adrians Neweys book, James bond Blu Ray (I forgot how much I love having physical copies of stuff) and choccie as its the law. Sounds like everyone has done well 🙂

Still slowly working through Harry Potter books on the Kobo. Also, picked up Guinness World Records 2022 book from an trip to Aldi I finally got around to ordering this which may not be the best in the series but I look forward to reading up on some lore history I may have missed.

A new type of book I wasn't aware existed. It's a detective book where you need to work out the answer. So far I've used my brain, Google Maps and Google Search to work out the correct answers. Turning out to be pretty fun and I'm going to look at getting one called Journal 29, made by the same person.

Got a book for xmas too, I'm not a massive reader some books either grab me or they don't but what I got for xmas has taken my interest. It's Adrian Neweys "How to build a car", I find it interesting how people approach different problems with outside the box solutions. I'm not that far in but I am enjoying it at the moment 🙂

I’ve upgraded my chef skills, so I can now make spaghetti, gumbo stew and Shepard’s pie. All of them give you 100+ food, a lot of health and max stamina of 40. For us to be able to cook these, we need a lot of tinned food, so when ever you see a vending machine please grab what you can. Im also going to start making Grandps learn’n elixir, it gives you an extra 20% xp so will be very useful on horde nights. I’m going to be away for 2 weeks from the 6th but I plan on taking a laptop with me, I won’t be on British time but will try and jump on and do the odd thing when I can. From Mr Vague 😄

Thats a sweet xmas haul @GazzaGarratt, should keep you busy gaming lol. I got some really nice bits too, not much on the gaming side though. Kim made a comemorative display for me and my youngests first live nfl game earlier thus year, got a falcons hoodies too, a couple of AEW tops, Dave Grohls new book, a new Shazam figure for the collection and some chocs and sweets 😁 i did pick up Far Cry 6 and Skyrim yesterday on a little shopping trip though lol

Day 78 Just survived horde night 77 pretty much unscathed with @TurboR56Mini The new base is being worked on, with both Carl and @Plumbers Crack jumping on to help out today. My main focus is getting the base prepared and we have lots of ideas on what to do. The more ideas and more hands the better. Would love to find an Auger schematic too.

Managed to max out physician yesterday which means we can finally make antibiotics! We really need to start collecting shamsandwiches or mouldy bread (think that’s what they’re both called) Started looting the city we’re in, only made it through 3 buildings as they were so big but got some decent stuff. @Grebothi’ve made a cheat on the wall by your farm and chucked some things in there that I think you might like. There’s two special ones which I don’t think you can do at the moment. Horde night was exciting, the zombies just don’t stop. The one thing I has shown us is that we need our own base. Otherwise there won’t be many buildings left 😄
