A little update. I stated the house was not to go on the market till after the new year so a couple of weeks ago a mate called me saying the house was on the market she had put it up for sale behind my back saying to the estate agents and our estate agent that I said it was ok so they were pretty pissed off but they've said it won't sell till February which I've said that's ok as long as it is that month anytime before I won't sign as I need to find my own place. Last weekend I lost a mate to AML leukaemia he battled it for 3 years back in July they said there was nothing else they could do for him. But I'm doing ok just planning my future once I get a place.

Good racing last night and looks like, with one race left, a Kiwi will take the championship. The last race will be three laps around the Nordschleife, so that will be a laugh. When the league finishes I might do something to keep us going until GT7. I was thinking of doing a fun championship where everyone has to use the Mazda Roadster with boost and high slipstream on tracks we don't usually use (short courses for example).

I was not sure about revealing Spider-Man's identity at the end of the last movie, and I still am, but I do like that we're seeing the consequences of that. It doesn't look like that'll be undone, since living with a public identity will be one of the lessons this movie is setting up. I much prefer Spidey with a secret identity, but they can still win me over on this.

Then Battlefield 2042 would be the worst purchase you could possibly make. I have no doubt people have had fun on this game but it's broken in many respects, heavily incomplete, conceptually flawed and fundamentally terrible. This is off the back of many problematic Battlefield launches already yet people seem to treat broken and unfinished as the acceptable standard these days. This is by far the most alarming release in the series and possibly in gaming. The fact staple features are missing or worse than prior games is what I find absolutely unforgivable. If it's not in the game now and they plan to add it later then the game is not finished and it's unacceptable. Lack of destruction and squad features is just pitiful for me and makes everything feel like a barren sandbox. Give it a year and it'll be revealed that this game was in development hell, only had 1 year of actual development and DICE had no clue what they wanted to do with it. 5 people including the Head of Development have already left the company within the first 2 weeks of launch and they are already pushing an in-game store on users when the game needs 6-18 months of basic work. It was revealed that they've already lost 70% of players in two weeks and will probably have less than 5,000 by January on PC. This is before Warzone Pacific has been released and it's not like the game has much competition right now either. Good job they put bots in the game! Vince Zampella has now taken over which is great news though but he's not a miracle worker. He may save the Battlefield name but probably not this game going forward. There are way more deserving games out there of your time and money. I recommend watching the Angry Joe review - it's about 2 hours long and only covers a fraction of the issues but it's damning to say the least. I absolutely love Battlefield and have enjoyed all their games for almost two decades but this game houses everything wrong with the industry and society across the board.

People seem to misunderstand me. I don't pay full price for incomplete products or defective products. This isn't just games, it's everything. My tolerance for shit products or service is zero, and I'll stand by that until I die. I used to be a lot more forgiving, but once the penny drops that companies just abuse your forgiveness and tolerance, it's a slippery slope as evidenced by the last few years in the gaming industry. Anthem, Cyberpunk, Warcraft Reforged, GTA Remastered, to name but a few. These aren't the result of companies wanting to put out shit products, it's the result of people letting them get away with it. Why put in the effort to deliver a quality, well polished game if people are just gonna fork over the full wedge and let them play catch up for the next few months/years anyway? The incentive for companies to get their shit together is dwindling with every game release and they abuse it. I'm funny about this though and see where society's headed, I'll just forever be that one irritating cuntfish that's always swimming upstream.

There was a big update yesterday and you can guarantee they will be putting a lot of effort in this game. I would suggest only the surface has been scratched in terms of the features we'll get to enjoy. The BF4 release had more content but was unplayable for me. I've played BF2042 most evenings and only once had an issue. It does need optimisation still as it gives my PC an 80 degree workout but other than that it has fit into my game library very well. Hopefully I can find a cheap PS5 version as I'm the only one on PC right now😁

I don't wanna say 'its only getting better' cos that sounds like I think it can't get any worse but its a decent spot considering how BF launches go historically and with some QoL tweaks i the right places the game will be great. I think having different games to pop on and off to rather than focusing on one game is the way to go.

For me, the difference between COD and Battlefield is no longer blurred, they're both morphing into the same thing. We'll see where that goes. For more tactical shooters I have other options on PC, so not a problem for me. I'm hoping the price of the PS5 version comes down as I'll probably pick that version up now a few things have been fixed.

This is before Warzone Pacific even being released and Vanguard being widely considered as a flop. There's not many other big games out there but when Farming SImulator 2022 has more than twice as many players, you know it's bad! The only positive is that Vince Zampella is now the head of DICE and 5 employees including the main development director have all left the company within two weeks of launch. He may not be able to turn this game around but it may salvage Battlefield long term. Hopefully Vince will be able to persuade EA to go back to its roots as he is probably the only person at the company who isn't grabbed by the balls and they usually leave him alone to his own creative devices. The good news is that the game will likely fail before DICE can implement any of their shitty ideas made pre-release.

It isn't a steaming pile of shit though, in of itself a lack of content =/= a bad game. There's been enough Battlefield launches in the past that have been so bugged to be unplayable. This isn't that, the game works and works well you just can only have 5 guns and play on 2 maps*. *actual numbers may vary. When polled 82% of 119 women agreed.

Patch notes Update #2 will be available on November 25, and brings a set of balance changes for vehicles and weapons, and fixes for critical bugs we found during the Early Access week of November 12. For vehicles such as the LCAA Hovercraft, MD540 Nightbird, KA-520 Super Hokum and AH-64GX Apache Warchief we’ve made adjustments that brings them more in line with other vehicles. Funnily enough, the start screen does feature naval warships, so I imagine that'll be coming. The game was released for the Christmas dollar and that's becoming the new normal on the industry, and why so many features are missing. There was no way this was going to be released after the biggest spending period of the year. It is what it is. Although I'm now going to have to find a way to top Greeb's use of facetious 😅 I'm playing each evening and I'm enjoying it a lot. There's an update today I believe.

Every Battlefield since Bad company 2 has had a really lacklustre launch but it has produced some absolute bangers. Most of the "issues" don't bother me . I've played nearly every night since early access 🙃 even with no aim assist i am still able to slap people 🤣 very enjoyable It will come good on that 60 quid price tag mark my words. BFV was a shitshow for a long time and turned into one of my favourite Battlefields. I will see yall out there hopefully ❤

I’m not saying people shouldn’t moan just have some objectivity when doing so. Including things on the list that are in the game, things that make no sense to be in the game and subjective things that I doubt anyone except those making these lists care about knocks the credibility of the whole list. Though on an unrelated note, I do look forward to having a good moan about GT7 having no spaceships to fly.

Thing is I agree some things are "nit picking" however people would probably be ok with some minor emmisions but fuck me look at the list, however we don't want to be seen to be moaning too much it's 2021 afterall got to be thankful they put out something.. ...well here's you participation 🏆 dice well done. I swear some people just like moaning too much. I cba to go through the list one by one however, while I can’t defend the game too much as some of the points are valid I think some crosses the line in to nitpicking. The lack of maps is a valid complaint but if there’s no naval maps why would there be naval vehicles? No naval vehicles if there were naval maps I can get behind but how dare there not be vehicles I can’t use anyway is laughable. As is complaining about the ingame music in my opinion. Outside of Halo, I don’t think I could identify the music, or even the genre of music, used in any other games menus. Even something like Destiny where I’ve got almost 2000 hours playtime I’ve still got no fucking clue.

Also: takes far too long too get into a game and portal can only be set up externally on a website rather than in-game. But thankfully I've not experienced any bugs, which is what makes or breaks it for me in the end, so long as there is a game to actually interest me. But yeah, if the shooting feels good then I'm sold. I played last night and I fucking loved it.

Is this actually worth getting? My plan was to always get COD on release day and then get BF for Christmas or my birthday in March but hearing it's unplayable right now, although there's rumours of a big patch coming (or 2) soon, I've seen floating about?
