Personally I'd keep it to once a week. People can join on whatever week they feel like, there shouldn't number any pressure...and I'm happy with a league, so long as there's at least 5 of us.

I keep seeing the name Vanguard and being intrigued before remembering its COD and all interest evaporating. The new warzone map will be worth a look but can't even be bothered with this beta.

I'd say that 70% is my sweet spot, no apologies for the pun. Milk chocolate is cheaper to produce and the more milk the less I like, though I'm ok with all chocolate except when you start adding nuts and fruit to it. Heresy.

If we don't turn up then we would likely get heavily penalised, also slated for depriving another team of a place and it would also bugger up any future prospects of hosting the competition. We'd also get called into question about why we didn't say anything for over a decade. We've kinda put ourselves out there as the poster-nation for virtue signalling in the last 18 months and it's great to see so many positives on and off the pitch but the footballing world in general would just see a level of hypocrisy and an 11th hour woke publicity stunt. There's just too much money, contracts and red tape for us to pull off any ballsy move or do something that would make a difference which other nations would support and they are also just as much tied. We've already shamefully bent the knee for UEFA against government guidelines and accepted blackmail over the well-being of the wider public in Euro 2020 so just imagine what FIFA would do to us at our own game and how well we would bow to them if needs be. FIFA should've been obliterated years ago after the Blatter and co scandal but it's just the same suits worn by other clowns.

Ah, Rod Liddle eh. First things first, let's not pretend this chap cares about racism or the death of migrant workers. But he's happy to use these things to put forward his own agenda. We all know the WC in Qatar was allocated via corruption and the people running it in Qatar are monsters. But has there been a WC free of corruption, ever? In South Africa and Brazil they cleared away the homeless and put political agitators in prison or house arrest. And more. Qatar is nothing new. I see more footballers get involved with their local communities these days, which is one positive thing they can do to back up the kneeing gesture but they need to do a lot more if they're really serious about it. These issues go a lot deeper into our society and how we interact with one another and its a shame the likes of Rod can only communicate via cowardice. Yep @Plumbers Crack deffo an interesting one 😁

An interesting viewpoint...

I'm already starting to lose interest, and it's not because the game is shit, but because of the quite frankly retarded gatekeeping and ring fencing of content based on what you own as well as the incessant and constant need to spend money to stay up to date. This game is now less game, and more "how can we squeeze more money out of our players". Perfect example, I want to complete this quest so I can unlock stasis: I own Beyond Light, as evidenced here: Yes for some reason, I need to buy a deluxe edition to play the content I've already paid for? Get in the sea Destiny, back to Far Cry 2 for a bit.

I'd agree with Phil, and the weekly league race is something to look forward to. I also feel that one league race every 2 weeks is a bit too far apart and people would easily forget which weeks the league weeks are. Potentially adding unnecessary complication? I like the idea of making the first race of every evening a non league race so those who want to play casually can play and then the serious sweaty lot can stick around for the league race afterwards? Thoughts?

While it has seen a significant rise in PC players recently, I think some of the recent rise in popularity is last months launch on consoles. Though as I understand it, the original PC release was different somehow and it got quite the update alongside the launch on consoles.

Critics are far too often the death of far too many good games, movies, and TV shows before those stories can even really be told.

It's been on PC for a couple of years now but it's grown in popularity lately probably because people are finally getting sick of the usual FPS tripe. Nice to see something else doing well and hopefully it will persist during the business time of the year. I'm a bit burned out on these games now so I'll likely not play it but it's certainly a good alternative outside of the usual uninspired franchises we see today.

I saw this being played on Twitch. Mixing portal with a shooter and at high speed hmmm the only thing I worry about is getting an acid flashback 😉

Blitz just sounds like they're going to put loads of players on maps designed for 6v6 so you're constantly spawning and dying. Kinda like playing Shitment all the time. I'll avoid it like the plague.

I must be on a Liam Neeson kick lately because I just finished watching prob the 3rd Neeson flick I've watched in the past month. Watched The Marksman. I was thinking it was not gonna be all that great because it had a pretty low rating on RT"s as well as by most critics. But just as is true 9 times out of 10...if a movie is rated low thats usually a sing its actually pretty damn good, friggin critics suck. I'm not gonna say it was his best film, but it was nearly 2hrs long and I honestly didn't feel like it was that long, so I must have enjoyed it. A pretty decent drama with just enough quick action mixed in to make it a movie that should appeal to most anyone. I liked it.

Brilliant game, I might replay it on PC now as I never played the DLC, and near the end of the game I felt like it was dragging on a bit. Back when I was younger, this game was pretty creepy and at times got me jumping.
