  2. I've been collecting action figures and geeky stuff for a long time now, so i thought it would be cool to share my collection with you peeps and to see what collections you all have 🙂 I'm a big DC comics fan so the majority of my collection is DC based. I've been collecting figuarts for years and used to have a big collection of them including Dragonball, Star Wars and Marvel, but now focus on the DC releases. I'm also getting the new McFarlane DC line and love what theyve done so far. As well as DC, i'm a massive Supernatural fan and have a shelf dedicated to it, and i've recently started to collect the NFL funko pops and want to get a couple of mini helmets soon. Ok then everyone...SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT!!!

  3. I think it's down to two things:- a) they think bigger means better b) they want to stifle progress and force people to buy boosters at £10 pop With Assassin's Creed going full live service in the future, it's only going to get worse I reckon. If they weren't trying to screw users into spending more money to reduce the monotonous agony, they would've included XP scaling options where users could curate their own experience based on how much time they have or wish to play. If they didn't alienate players this way then more would spend money on DLC but they are obsessed with nickle and diming their in-game stores. Ubisoft have phasing out narratives from their games now and focusing purely on live services of the stinking F2P nature so I dread where this franchise will end up. All the staff at their disposal, all that technology, all that money and their games are the same generic reskinned crap over and over.

  4. I haven't got past 5 hours yet 🤣so fair play for getting this far @Antpool84 ! I enjoy the scenery and the way the world is but I sometimes think these games need to push you down the linear main story route abit further before opening up side quests. I'll never understand that Black Flag balanced a main story with a superb side mini game, that you can also play on your mobile through the day which impacted your game when you got home to play it - and this never got replicated or evolved in any future games? We can live and hope for the future i'm sure.

With only 45 days until the new NFL season kicks off, is anyone else looking forward to the start of the season? Being a Falcons fan it's going to be an interesting season to say the least with the change in management and coaching, and with the departure of Julio Jones to Tennessee and arrival of 1st round draft pick Kyle Pitts. Hoping both the defence and offence can pull it together this season. I think the Bucs and Chiefs will both have another solid season as neither have seen much change in the squad. I was surprised at Carson Wentz leaving the Eagles for the Colts with how long he has been there, and i can't see him having a massive impact. I will definitely be keeping an eye on Trevor Lawrence with all the hype that has surrounded the 1st pick, will he make a massive difference to the Jaguars 🤔? Looking forward to the return of the London games too, especially since the Falcons playing over here again. So whats everyones predictions for the upcoming season? Anyone else going to the London games?

  7. So i'm 50 hours into Assassins Creed Valhalla and honestly starting to struggle to keep going. For the first 20 to 30 hours i was loving exploring the world and levelling up, but as its gone on i've found it harder to stay invested in the story, and things like the raiding element that started off as enjoyable i'm now finding repetitive. The open world is huge but there a lot of the areas are pretty plain and i've ended up riding my horse from point to point without encountering anything other than dears and wolves. As much as it is pretty awesome playing as a viking, i don't find Eivor as interesting to play as previous protagonists in the series. I used to love the Assassins Creed games and completed a lot of the early games, but hadn't played one in full since Black Flag, so was hoping that this would reignite my love for the series, and although on the whole the game plays well, it feels much more like a generic action rpg than an Assassins Creed game as I have yet to find any consequence to not using stealth and just going into an area and killing all the enemies. I don't know whether taking a break from it and playing something else for a while will help, so it feels fresher when i come back to it. Has anyone else found this or is it just me?

  8. PS5 Directors Cut coming out this month but it's quite pricey. Does contain a new island though. $10 extra for a PS4 upgrade to get the new content apparently too. Never did get round to getting this first time around but I may grab it this month.

Over the years i've aksed FGers to help me understand what team I should follow but as there's never much buzz here I kind of miss when everything starts until I hear Superbowl is coming around again! How is the Fantasy Football league work? Is it quite difficult to do and do you need to start it soon at all? Could've been a good thing to help people here keep some interest in this egg hand chasing game.

  21. Fast 9. Going in to this expecting exactly what anyone would expect, I was still amazed. The plot holes are big enough to fit an entire different franchise in, many of the scenes are very clunky - not in that poorly directed way, but in that "I want this to happen in my film and I don't care what you have to do to achieve it" kind of way, regardless of the context or the rest of the film. A few moments of the film went from head scratching, to "is this actually from a different film or something?". My last point is a bit of a tricky one. I know I can be fussy and generally can't stand when films do stupid shit in the hope that their audience won't know it's bollocks, but in many cases I can turn my brain off and enjoy it. I'm sure most here are the same. My thing is whether this film is just purposefully ignoring the intelligence of its audience altogether, or whether I've just reached my limits of "fuck it, it's a film". I like to think I can stretch my imagination quite a bit, but this doesn't so much as stretch the imagination, but rather take it out your head, chew it, sit on it, fart on it, call it names and abuse it to within an inch of its life, and then put it back in your head expecting you to go "yeah that's awesome". Maybe I'm just not stupid enough, or I've been exposed to too much technical stuff during my life to know where the line is between "artistic licence" and "utter bullshit". Fuck knows. Either way the film is as shit as you'd expect, absolutely fucking awful full of family bollocks and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 5/10.

    Halo Infinite

I feel like this is going to make or break the franchise. I haven't been impressed by any of the 343 developed entries in this series. If infinite doesn't live up to expectations, I wonder if MS will start looking into a new developer. Probably not but who knows.

  25. Thanks Lee. It's amazing the stuff you can do with them. And the prices have come down so much over the past few years. I have two of them now and both are the Ender 3 V2's which sells for about $250, then I upgraded the extruder/hot end with a direct drive Microswiss one which runs $100. So no more than $350 invested into each of them.

  26. I didn't mind Origins at all more for the setting then anything else. But, I agree with you though about valhalla. It feels like a chore. I've got over 100 hours in the game and I'm at a point where I just can't find the patience to finish it. Every area in the game is literally the same thing. over and over and over. I mean, I'll go back and finish it when I have literally nothing else to play. But, man they really need to rethink this series...again. I'm not very thrilled about infinity either.

  27. No auto turrets in DayZ, that's more Rust and its crazy nonstop pvp. DayZ is a bit more focused on the survival mechanics, which I admit can include human interaction. And it is the fear that human interaction can elicit that kind of makes DayZ what it is. Is this player friendly or will they kill me on sight, or just rob me? Eating and drinking is a big thing, as is staying clear of cholera and zed infections. You can craft most of what you need to, so it's also possible just to live in the forests too without need of going to a town. So you get an idea of how I approach DayZ I'll set out how I tend to play. Spawn a new character at the coast. Find my way to a town initially to loot food and equipment. And weapons. Head into the map, looting farm buildings etc as I go Look for abandoned military camp to pick up better weapons. Establish a base, usually hiding it as best I can. Make the base a home. All of this while avoiding zeds, bears, wolves and humans. Can also find parts to to repair cars and trucks to travel around in. Go to the airfields to find a helicopter and interactions here tend to be of the murderous nature. The type of server will often determine a lot of your experience. Some are friendly, some are specifically pvp kos, some are role play where there are rules about killing and robbing etc Some servers make you start with gear, some equip you with nothing. The best map to start on is Chernarus or these days the modded Chernarusplus. I had a brief meet up with @TurboR56Mini but he had to run off so nice to have you on board too 🙂

  36. @J4MES OX4D i have to agree with you, whereas the older AC games were set across 3 or 4 cities that were always bustling with activity, now they have made them so massive it is just filled with random side quests for the sake of them so you can get your XP up to carry on. Combat has come down to pretty much button mashing with most enemies. I really want to enjoy the game and get through it but with so many better open world titles available its a struggle.

  37. Firstly, congratulations for making it to 50 hours. I lasted barely 20 hours in Origins before it became absolute torture to play. This latest breed of AC games are basically way too big with the story spread thin across a huge landscape in which the map has to be bloated with mundane tasks for filler. Not only that, Ubisoft introduced RPG level-gating which meant players had to endure these side missions to be able to play the story....or pay them £10 for boosters where you didn't have to play parts of the game instead. The gameplay is also dumbed-down to the extremes with x-ray vision, no fall damage, being able to scale huge climbs in seconds and also really basic combat. Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are basically the same game with slightly different skins. The developers could've easily reduced the game by two thirds, removed any level gating or given the player a choice on XP scaling. There are so many users who are being alienated by this game design who would love to play it and experience DLC in the future but they are being held back by the exhausting and nauseating gameplay format. If Ubisoft scrapped boosters and scaled the games down then they would be much better experiences. The series is basically a live service and Ubisoft last week confirmed that this is how it will be going forward for all future AC titles so expect more of the same. It's a shame because AC2 and Black Flag were superb titles. The series is perfect for players who don't mind the same monotonous grind every day for two months straight but for me, the AC games have become some of the most painful out there and the devs don't seem to understand that bigger doesn't always mean better. Aside from any narrative, what you see in these games within the first 20 minutes is what you get throughout.
