I promised you all for a special update from the FGFGF on my recent update about summer improvements to FG, so here it is! Buckle in tight for this one 😄 As most of you will hopefully know by now, La @RenFengge has come into help me a huge amount of late and she found an opportunity within lockdown to do a few extra special gifts as we had a few generous people in FG that could contribute significantly to help make a few people smile. First off, Bob @Baabcat has been here for many years and we've seen him be amazing of late, trying super hard to help many of the Destiny 2 FGers get involved and put up many raids each and every week. Its crazy to think that after nearly 7 years of Destiny, the past 6-12 months is the most active it has ever been at FG with so many complete FG raids, dungeons and Nightfalls done with each other. A large part of this was down to Bob so we duly obliged when knowing Charlie @Venom had a PS5 but his Dad didn't. After working out the logistics with Clive @Teenwolf25 , we informed Bob online how great he is and gave him a huge smile from the FGFGF with a new PS5. Secondly, Gary @techno has been a mainstay in FG for so many years and helping in areas that people really haven't seen before but he's always there to pick you up when you need it most. He always offers advice, even when you didn't realise it. It was about time this guy from 'up Norf' received something extra special, especially whilst he has to be ploughing money into huge alterations in house for his wife that has a degenerative disability. Thanks to a few more significant others, we were able to not give away one PS5, but two! (Logistical mare with how he got it but it was paid for nonetheless 😄). A shipping problem lies with our merch currently, but i've managed to test a few new design hoodies out, finally sorting the last Xmas FGFGF giveaway present to @Dan94 and for all his continued efforts with his artwork and helping me significantly with his amazing Gran Turismo Articles, @Greboth received his own personalised hoodie. Some also might not be aware but our beautiful Scottash @Nutcuttlit had a horrible scare recently when his daughter was knocked over by a car. Whilst battered and bruised she soldiered on like how her Dad can be, so we thought we would send the best current release on Metacritic, a 2 player co-op game It Takes Two. Hopefully the smiles can keep wash away the bruises over time 😄 There was a few FG mugs given out too, @Findmartin @TonyAE86 @Lurch @Antpool84 to name just a few. We're working quite hard to get some extra things to other FGers outside of the UK too. Its more of a logistical nightmare (and has been for a few years) but watch this space and we're extremely hopeful of doing further good things to keep people smiling around the world in the not too distant future. Lastly, don't get take the next part lightly. Thank You. ALL OF YOU people have shown you have the ability to keep making so many people smile and happy, especially when it hits some people's lives when they need it most. There's some of FGers out there that won't be named that are at their darkest points, and stuff like this - showing that you care for others at such a hard time for all of us - helps them realise life is worth living. Keep giving when you can to make FGers smile. GGFG all ❤️

I fucking love FG. And I love each and every one of you who make it what it is. I don't get to play as much as I used to, but when I do, you guys make it worthwhile. It's fantastic to see that so many of you have all received some New Content Everybody™ ❤️

I'd like to say a huge thank you, I was blown away when I heard to the point I was sat on the bed, as we've been living upstairs for 2 months now 🙄 literally speechless. It was a definite highlight in a few very frustrating and trying months. When the house gets finally sorted it will definitely be getting some use. Thanks again ❤️

@Rumelylady made these amazing 3 cheese, spinach and mushroom stuffed calzones the other night with a homemade marinara sauce. Soooooo good.. 🤤

I'll go to the wall for a guy who's a little right, but if you're wrong you're wrong and if you lie to me you can go get fucked. I've got no problem recommending someone for termination and have. What I don't like is how much ass covering there is when guys screw up but without bad intent or when people make paperwork just to make paperwork. A guy accidentally discharges a Taser cartridge during maintenance checks. A certain captain would want a police report and an internal report. I told him to mark out on investigation at roll call, write that CAD number as the incident the discharge took place, and go get a replacement at the property room. Don't volunteer any info. If they give you shit, have them call me. They didn't ask because they don't care, as long as they have a number to write down they are happy. It's an honest mistake and one a sergeant can address, there's zero reason to get the LT or above involved. Now I'm the LT and I'm already telling the SGTs to solve problems at the lowest level possible. One of my detectives is now finding out why. He asked if he could work from home Friday, the sergeant said not without my permission. This detective emails me and says he is completely caught up on his cases and he has all his gear in his car if he gets called out, so it would be a "waste" to drive in to the office to "twiddle his thumbs". Now, I've already told the guys they aren't chained to the desk but I expect them to work their cases appropriately. Suspects and victims aren't in our building, and you can't play detective by telephone all day, so I don't need to see you, I need you to be working. I told him he was free to work from home that day, as I have no rule about when someone must be in the office as long as they are taking care of their work. I also told the SGTs to make him a priority in booking (booking is how reports street officers take become cases and get assigned to individual detectives) as I would hate for him to be twiddling his thumbs for very long. Basically he told me he doesn't have enough work to do, and I'm fixing that. Who in their right mind goes to their boss' boss and says "I don't have enough work"? I've also revamped the office's method of bidding for time off, which was grossly unfair and very unpopular with the detectives. It was logistically simpler, but resulted in the same hand full of people getting every major holiday off. We'll be doing it like street officers do it (and like we did in Homicide/Robbery) next year, where seniority matters and the most senior guy will get his first request for sure, but everyone's first choice goes in the book before anyone's second choice does so they "good" holidays get spread out more. The senior guy can still get Christmas or Thanksgiving or July 4th, but probably can't get all 3 I've reinstituted office pitch-in lunches starting this Wednesday, which had fallen victim to COVID. Modernized a few things, now it's pretty much like being a fireman. If everything is working right, I don't have much work to do. If things go sideways, it's my problem no matter who's problem it is. But here's how far from being a real cop I am now. This week I used Excel to go through overtime slips vs grants to make sure we were being reimbursed for certain special project overtime. I found about $450 that was coded incorrectly that was grant money eligible....good times.

Yea, I had read that earlier. Honestly, I'm fine with the delay. That "gameplay" reveal they had looked too much like a long scripted cutscene and really gave me some killzone 2 vibes. I really want this to be good so any added time for development is A ok in my books.

Just discovered this band call Punk Rock Factory and love them!!! There latest album is metal covers of cartoon themes!!! Me and the mrs have been listening to them all evening 😂

Ah Jackass, it did get a little old towards the end, might be interesting to see if it can work again. I did read recently somewhere that Steve O is a really nice guy? In the same vein I enjoyed Travis Pastrana nitrous circus too.

BFV too, EA/DICE dropped support for it despite having lots more content in there no-one got access to. But yeah, really, CDPR's behaviour pre (and I'm still finding this staggering) post launch is incredibly short-sighted and pretty despicable.

I think it's gonna be a case of some developers having to optimise their games specifically for this system. Ones with controller support immediately have an advantage but others may need improved display and scaling support. There may also be instances where some games are just not suitable to be played this way. The device may also come with a quick-zoom function or something too.

This does look interesting, even though it only outputs at 720p. With this being the case though, what about text on screen? wouldn't that be a little small? I imagine if you play certain games, action adventures or FPS, this should be great. I already see mention of Civ on this, but do you think it would work? I have Civ on the VITA and that's a watered down game compared to the full game, I can imagine the resolution and screen size alone wouldn't be ideal for them types of games unless they are designed with handheld in mind. Then there's grand strategy games like HOI or RTS games like Company of Heroes, them I can see as not being ideal for something like this. So it'll highly depend on the games you play. The concept is awesome though, price tag not so much. Although if you can load other apps on the device, having GOG Galaxy installed for some of the older titles would be super cool to have on the go.

After playing some more of this, oh hell yes! This is fucking good. There isn't many rouge lite elements as I thought but damn is this a great game. I'd say my only gripe is targeting when attacking. It seems sometimes my character has a hard time actually swinging at the enemies. If you're a fan of top down, hack and slash games like Diablo or Hades then you should like this.

After seeing pranks like that and all these idiotic social experiments, I'd actually welcome vintage pranks like Jackass again - they may be dangerous and stupid but anything is better than the current breed of TikTok shite and YouTube fakery.
