Star Citizen Night?
GazzaGarratt and 2 others reacted to phil bottle for a topic
Sure, seems the best way to go. The new patch is currently being tested by players before it goes live so kinks can be ironed out. It's a big update as they're removing Port Olisar and replacing it with a cloud city type thing, looks amazing. I also believe they're introducing their version of permadeath for the first time. There's a lot of stuff to do in game now but it needs to run well so will be interesting. Give it a week or so I reckon.3 points -

First Half of 2021 Wrap Up 3 more workouts done since the last post in here. I'll be taking a breaking from logging for a bit. Let's see if I can stick to my overall goal this way. Wrapping up the last 6 months of my health and fitness journey. In terms of the scale, I'm only down 12lbs. In terms of my clothes and overall fitness, I'm in a pretty solid place of progress. No one can guess my actual weight or come close as they tend to guess about 40lbs lighter. Again, I'm just built differently. I've always been the strongest female in any of my gyms. Never the fastest. But, I'll happily sit here in clothes that I used to wear about 10 years ago without a struggle... knowing that when I can do the last of my "shape up" it will be the most healthy slim body I've had... ever. My slimmest days are behind me in a sense that I was skinny and fit into the typical Asian standard but also weak. I'll take my additional muscle weight happily. Today was my last MMA session in my original pack. It was a good wrap up. Last week was a lot of shoulder work push-ups, pull-ups, strict presses, push presses, push jerks, split jerks), and I knew I had overworked my right shoulder - especially knowing that's the one I have to strengthen after getting the mass removed. Luckily, Jonesly is a doctor specializing in these sort of things lol. Went in the gym today, told him my shoulder was wonky. We did an assessment and agreed that today's session would be another without much use of my arm. So, we focused on a new block and check. Hilarious thing when we got into sparring. My body just did not want to use the new moves. Just revert back into what I learned in Eskrima, which is avoidance lol. Anyway, at the end, we did some breathing techniques then discussed what my week is going to look like. Which is rest and soft muscle work. No exertion. I looked at the workouts for the week at my HIIT gym, and so much of it is arms based. I guess it really it is a rest week for me then. So, there it is. 6 months down, and we'll end on a nice, relaxing note of a rest week. Back at it on Saturday with my weightlifting again, and Sunday with MMA. 🙂 Here's to the second half of 2021, and now it's time to pick a tattoo artist to work me me on my year-end tattoo!3 points -

Football (Played with Feet)
J4MES OX4D and one other reacted to phil bottle for a topic
Moving back to proper football I've seen pundits suggest Spurs will be outside the top 10 this season. While that's cobblers it does make me wonder which teams will be contenders. I'd say Man Utd with Sancho look very strong and I believe there's more signings to come. Man City aren't going to sit on their laurels and Chelsea are looking at spending big too. Don't see anything from Arsenal but I imagine Liverpool will be looking to strengthen and return to the top. Haaland and his future will be interesting and a boost to any of the teams above. Not sure if Kane will be going anywhere.2 points -

Random Fitness Gear
GazzaGarratt reacted to RenFengge for a topic
Do you know why I work out? Because I have always enjoyed watching the athleticism of my favorite super heroes and game characters and want just a sliver of it. Also, because I really hated not being able to train with my cousins growing up since I was the only girl. Anyway. Thought I would start a thread about random fitness gear (whether it be gym clothes or actual gear). Being that we're all gamers, and I know there's quite a many comic book fans in here, I present to you... fitness gear where you can sort of dress up as your favorite comic book character. Wolverine. Captain America. Black Panther. Flash. Batman, Thor... Women's stuff supposed coming soon (whomp whomp): LOGAN S2 Bundle WWW.SUPERX.CO BUNDLE INCLUDES LOGAN S2 Premium Hoodie LOGAN S2 Premium Joggers Free Exclusive ORIGIN Tank Top Free USA Shipping Look & Feel Like A Superhero The LOGAN Series 2 Hoodie is the newest addition...1 point -
Something I have been working on for the past few weeks. May very well be the height of my clinical OCD lol. Have been 3D printing and painting everything for a scale garage scene for the Felony. Everything is 3D printed, then painted/detailed. Pictures on the walls are resized pictures I took up on Woodward over the years and trimmed down to scale size. Monster truck pics are an actual Rc truck I built years ago which I reprinted in a smaller size, even got my a poster for my custom fly rod business worked into there Was very time consuming and took a lot of hours but was quite a fun project.1 point

@Plumbers Crack and I had a little impromptu bench-off last night and it was fun to just see what sort of scores we were getting. Of course putting my PC next to his was the tech equivalent of putting a Datsun next to a GTR which was very obvious in the scores, but it was still fun nonetheless. Of course this will only be a brief little thing for a week or two but it's still a bit of fun. When people start taking it seriously it always ends up costing more than the GDP of a small country but as a bit of fun it's worth a go, and overclocking always adds an element of fun. This has also reminded me that I've still got a £50 Amazon voucher to use and a fresh tube of Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut in my drawer so I can pop a new cooler on my CPU and twist the knobs a bit. If there's enough interest I'll put together a benching suite and a leaderboard. Please tag anyone who might be interested! @phil bottle @crispymorgan @GazzaGarratt @Greboth etc.1 point -

200 wolves might be vastly underestimating them... I'm working on a "Rest Point" in the north end of the sanctuary, and for whatever reason, that is now surrounded by at least 50 wolves. I thought it would be interesting to build a place that went with the slope of the mountain...1 point -

I wouldn't wear these for gym work...but I could see myself being in a hoodie just for daily use. Totally agree with the feeling of wanting to feel like a super hero though 😄 Whats helped me most the skintight breathable t-shirts. I wear one underneath a normal football shirt when I go to run around like an idiot for an hour with everyone. Before this, i used to wear 3,4 or 5 layers of standard clothes, depending on the weather. I feel I like i need to sweat when im playing sports or some form of fitness otherwise its not doing anything for me. The skintight breathable shirts allow for me to wear less layers but still generate sweat enough to make me realise i've had a decent workout.1 point -

Jesus, I didn't realise he was in such a bad way. Amazing to see he's kept these memories he wants to share in this. I'll absolutely be watching this, as i've enjoyed many of his roles, especially Doc in Tombstone. Makes you think about your own life and what types of things we should keep to look back on in years to come.1 point -

I personally think thats a huge achievement. Many people haven't got the drive to lose any weight even though they moan about it. You went and smashed some training, had fun in what you eat, etc and still lost a large amount of weight. Thats how I read that 🤘 I like the idea of finishing any week with this sort of stuff to help you switch from work to life mode. Make sure you share the ideas what you're thinking of getting mate! A great read and awesome to see how well you're doing! 😎1 point -

Man United are making moves and I do think they'll be up there again. There young players with another year of experience will be tough to beat if they get a good start. I think people at other clubs outside Man City and Chelsea need to have a realisation of how football is at the moment and that the instant success culture isn't helping their teams. I think the best thing these teams can do like Arsenal and Spurs are committing and sticking to a 5 year plan to try and win the league.1 point -

Same for me on a few things on Apple. I refuse to get another streaming service and hope that once exclusivity dates are done, I can watch them on a different platform. My favorite actors are Chris Pratt, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Evans, just to name a few. I think we have a thread somewhere else that sort of deviated into actors/actresses instead of character lol. Pratt does seem like a genuine good guy. I think that's where a lot of his appeal is. Same for Reynolds and Evans. Actually, Reynolds is just funny in a way you totally know you would have a good night out drinking lol.1 point -

It's so sad to see the condition he's in these days, but at least he's still around and still keeps going. I think his portrayal of Jim Morrison in the movie "The Doors" to date was probably one of the best performances of any actor I have ever seen in my life.1 point -

Probably, afterall people push back on the over zealous health and safety departments, I know we do. Celebs and the media have been terrible through this whole thing, post one thing do the opposite, people bashing on about how restrictions should continue then sticking their smug faces up at either Wimbledon or Wembley, oh and the excuse that they are either double jabbed or passed a test rubbish. That was the criteria for being at the festival of speed I've just returned from, bare amounts of checks basically I flashed a QR code at gate staff, could have been anyone . Being there you wouldn't have known what we went through this past year and a half. Face coverings only required indoors. I do believe things had to be relaxed, I do believe there will be some good things, positive things that come from what's happened but having worked through it all people do need to take responsibility, I don't know why some seem to need to be told everything all the time.1 point -

Your first PS5 game
GazzaGarratt reacted to Antpool84 for a topic
So far i've only played the ps5 versions of AC Valhalla and Madden 21, and the thing i'm most impressed with with both is the loading times, especially for AC with it being such a big game. Madden does its best to make use of the controller and gives some trigger resistance at times. I'm still wanting to get Resi Evil 8 and Miles Morales, but Ghost of Tsushima looks pretty sweet, and after the State if Play last night the new version of Death Stranding looks like it might be worth a go too1 point -

Something to note about the league races. There will be limited time to practice on race night and qualifying will begin at 8.30pm. So pre-practice is advised. Also, who will be keeping note of the race stats and league table for the team championship? I'm assuming either @jordie1892 or @Mikepjbell but let's confirm now so we're prepared. I did the last season one and it's not a lot of work other than remembering to record the race results 🙃1 point -

I play it and like it. I play with or without the controller. The game matches controller players together so that could be why it is more difficult to get rank matches once you get to the higher ranks as there are few and few compatible players. The game plays very well for me and his enjoyable unlike regular cod. It seems to play much faster as well. I think I am up to 60 Nukes now, something I never achieved on consol. People also seem to play the objective. Strange concept, I know. I play on my iPAD1 point -

@TurboR56Mini and I watched The Tomorrow War yesterday. I do enjoy seeing Chris Pratt take on these roles. His demeanor is just enjoyable to me. Fun action sci-fi movie. It actually had 2 story arcs/chapters through the whole thing. I thought the movie was over, but nope, still another segment to wrap it up. Thought that was cool. Definitely a one-and-done movie. But, I could see some additional stories still happening to explain whatever the nonsense was that caused the aliens to actually be on the planet... Not going to give spoilers. You'll just have to watch it. Definitely a little obvious for two of the major underlining plot mechanisms. You'll see it within the first 10 minutes, I think. And, you'll figure it out before it happens lol. All in all, good times.1 point -

GazzaGarratt reacted to MrBiron for a topic
I've been playing this quite a bit recently and it really is very good. Runs great and actually looks pretty decent, it's not far off looking like a PS4/XB1 game. I do use a controller as on-screen controls are horrible to use. The game is essentially a mash up of every COD released so far. Maps and weapons from all games, Specialist abilities from BO3. This is the sort of game Activision should release on console and just scrap the yearly release cycle.1 point
