  1. Just a quick note to the community regarding server behaviours. 1. Boss fights only take place via community calendar events. 2. Password is not to be shared beyond FG. 3. Don't be an asshat, at least to other FGers The server can't be rolled back or saved at present, so any fucking with these rules equals a permanent ban.😇

  4. In case anyone hops onto the FG server for Valheim... Below is my map so far. @TurboR56Mini and I have scouted a majority of the first coast. He has build up the Black Forest Base (after we killed the troll hanging out there) and Outpost #2. Outpost #1 is still bare. Outpost #3 may be in the north area on the coast between the northwest dungeon and Base HQ. Depends on what we do tomorrow. I'll post new maps as I explore more. Things to note: We have left various basic armor, weapons, and an assortment of other items at HQ (and a few things at the outposts). All items that have been discovered are at HQ. There is another Troll near the northwest dungeon. Bring a team... with tons of fire arrows. This is how @TurboR56Mini and I killed the troll at the Black Forest Base. (You're welcome. It's now less terrifying to wander into the Black Forest) Black Forest Base is decently equipped. We still need to upgrade the workbench to level 3. Outposts #1 and #2 only have level 1 workbenches.

  8. Hey all! I'm Tom aka FlaminPingu. I'm 31 years old and live in the North East of England (UK). Love all things, games, anime, films/series and music. I work as Assistant General Manager in a bar called the Palm and I've been streaming since January this year. I have about 6k hours in Dota 2, currently hosting a Valheim server(my new addiction) and the Medium. Currently watching Dr. Stone, Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan. Also watching Snow Piercer, Sons of Anarchy and Ru Paul's Drag Race. Always down to play new games and I love being involved with communities that like to play and have fun competative or for the lolz. Anything else anyone would like to know, ask away! Anyone up for playing some games send me a message!

  9. For the FG community server we will make each level boss fight a calendar event. The date and time is provisional as I have no idea what day and time is best for everyone. Seemed to be quite a few on Sunday 5pm UK time so I've gone for next Sunday. Plus new players will have time to get accustomed to the game. But this date may change according to what you guys want.

  11. You better have this by the end of the day. This is a whole lotta fun for nice and chilled moments over the week. This is soooooo much fun. Loving seeing how many people are enjoying them so far ❤️ More servers you say? 😈 Such a great update. I'd love to see loads of these incoming. These are great to help people understand whats going on and what they may have missed. It also keeps people involved in where we are as all of us can't get on at the same time these days. I'm thinking of making my way to the South East Dungeo I found yesterday. Maybe over the next few days around FIFA and GT Sport nights if I can. Are the Dungeons a fun little activity then?

  12. I think what Macca touched on is the important thing to remember, with a few builds you can essentially cover the entire pitch. You can have a CF at ST, LW at RW etc with no negative effects. If you look at the difference in attributes, it's more often than not better to play out of position! Personally I'm now using: CF (ST/CF/CAM) RW (LW/RW/LAM/RAM) RB(CDM/RWB/LWB/RB/LB/CB) CM GK I think it's really worth taking the time to look at the changes in stats between positions/height/weight, and what you are trying to achieve with your builds. Some hot takes: I don't see the point of a ST unless you're a target man, CF can do most things better! I also don't see the point in LM/RM. LW/RW have better pace and dribbling, which are far more important than defensive stats increase. I've changed my mind since earlier in clubs, and now run a RB over a RWB. I'm trying to be more disciplined when in defensive positions, and therefore don't really need the better crossing/dribbling. 1 less pace is unfortunate, but the physical and defensive increases are worth it IMO. The majority of attackers are 5'4/99lbs, and therefore low strength. I dont feel the extra strength in a CDM is necessary, and would rather have the massive pace, agility and balance increases that a RB provides. I personally don't invest in stamina in anything other than my CM/RB. If you are smart with your runs going forward, you should last the full 90 no problem. Those skill points can be really handy elsewhere. I'm interested in knowing what height/weight you guys are running with across your builds?

  17. EPISODE 6 SPOILERS BELOW!! . . I saw this comment from someone and I think it is 100% correct after watching episode 6: @Misneach_ @Macca89 @GazzaGarratt@Greboth@jordie1892 Pietro is the Villain. Lets go through this. Billy was inherently scared of him for no reason. Billy being the one who has the ability to feel people’s emotions and thoughts such as when he could feel Vision dying outside the bubble and last episode Billy seemed to be training the dog telepathically as well. This Billy was just scared of Pietro being a “Vampire” for some inherent reason. Pietro can see Billy’s thoughts. Remember when Billy is talking to the camera, thats supposed to be Billy’s inner monologue, but clearly we see Pietro responding to it like he can see what Billy is thinking meaning he has way more awareness than even Wanda has. Pietro deflects the question interrogating his past. He never answers whether he actually knows the question Wanda asked. He proceeds to drive it into wanda’s mind that she’s the villain yet she clearly doesnt know whats happening. He is acting like a person who knows the script of the story itself. He is reading out character arcs and plot mechanics as if he were the writer of the entire thing. You could say he is guessing but hes right though. All the plot mechanics he says he embodies are ridiculously on the nose and way too correct. Pietro knows Vision is dead. How does he know that if all he can remember is dying in Sokovia and waking up here? Wanda attacks him. This is mainly just foreshadowing. Wanda never even attacked Monica. She specifically protects her from physical harm while throwing her out yet for Pietro she blatantly harms him. The commercial for the first time isnt about Wanda. The commercial is about someone “Surviving” by snacking on “Yo-magic”. Wanda’s powers aren’t called magic in the MCU so she wouldn’t think of them as such, and we have no basis for her using magic for sustinance. The only thing that has changed in the series that would cause the commercials to change is, Pietro. A person who could theoretically snack on YOUR MAGIC if he were something nefarious. Kind of like a Magic Vampire.

  21. Well, this is tricky because what I’m reading from you is some ‘misconceptions’ around how macros work and how the body itself works. Also, you need to know that I’m a Strength and Conditioning coach so I work with clients who have specific goals and body recomp is sometimes one of them. Fat Loss in the body works on a ‘per need’ basis. What that means is the body will burn fat only when it needs to. So you have to provide it with the stimulus to do so. That stimulus is quite simply, a calorie deficit. How it’s achieved isnt important. Could be excess calories burnt or not enough calories consumed. something to consider is that Fat is 9kcals per gram where as carbs are 4kcals per gram. So if you want to create a daily caloric deficit of 200kcals you would need to cut 50g of carbs or 22g of fat. 22g of fat isn’t going to make you feel full. 50g of whole food carbs will. Also, like carbs, not all fats are born equal and some are much harder to turn into energy than others which is often why keto isn’t good for performance as the body struggles to turn them into energy. My advice? Work out your TDEE and take a 20% deficit, eat a balanced diet and take the ‘punishment’ out of it.

  26. These are my current builds, all right foot. RB (rarely used) CB CDM CAM CF (rarely used) Pretty much repeating what others have said, I am happy to play anywhere and really enjoying playing with you guys on this. I enjoy CB as I am a defender in real life, but it can get bit boring there if we're winning and also CB is a very frustrating position if you have a bad game or 2, so it's good to mix it up and I've also enjoyed playing further forward. My CB I think is about 6"1 and 190lbs. I have maxed out the defending and pace stats, with the remainder of points going on short passing and agility. I think stamina at CB is not as important, I always seem to have plenty left. And shooting of course is pretty pointless, if/when I build up some more skill points I will probably whack them on the heading power/accuracy which may help when going up for corners (I know I know we always aim for Rodman but one day I might get one fall to me 😄) Interested in hearing other peoples attacking builds/stats as yous all seem small/quick/agile whereas my guy is a bit slow and Thomas Muller like! Also maybe we could try looking at different kind of partnerships, eg building a lighter smaller CB to go alongside a taller heavier one, or a big target man up top with a smaller quick guy a la Crouch and Defoe (for you guys old enough to remember them at Spurs and Portsmouth lol!)

  31. Hey Tom @FlaminPinguGaming ! Welcome to FG 😄 Rich is right when he says PPRs are the way to go tell us even more about yourself! What other games do you play? Is it just PC or do you play on console too? Its predominantly PlayStation and PC here but we do see more Xbox people coming around, mainly because of the Game Pass value. FG is a unique place where we all get to know each other on a completely different scale. You could say the most dysfunctional family around and that would be an understatement 😄 Like i mentioned to your better half @Kimmi29 the other day, take a look around and get involved in anything and everywhere. Hopefully we can jump into some games at some point, especially Valheim as its kicked off a storm over recent weeks. Here's hoping you have a great stay at FG and become a proper FGer 😁

Welcome to the forum dude, plenty of people here who play a wide range of games. There’s a Personal Progress Report section where you can document your progression on games etc, might be something you’d be interested in. There’s a lot of us loving Valheim at the moment, so will no doubt bump into you on that.

  37. Race 1 - 12 Laps Willow Springs Gr4 Even though the Audi TT has been given a Balance of Power (BoP) nerf recently, this race looked like it was going to play out in a similar fashion to Laguna Seca a few weeks ago. The Audi TT is significantly faster but is Front wheel drive and suffers excessive front tyre wear meaning a pit stop is required. Choosing a different car though would mean being slower on ultimate pace but able to do the race without a stop. Which would be quicker in this race of strategy...that @Mikepjbell screwed during practise by explaining the assists he use causing Phil to force them to be off for qualifying and the race. Qualifying Out of the 12 racing, only 4 chose not to use the Audi TT so qualifying was going to be difficult for us. The four were myself in the Toyota GT86, The birthday boy @JBR-Kiwi in the Dodge Viper, @tronic44 in the Peugeot RCZ and first time racer @techno in a Lamborghini Huracan. I got out the pits first and so crossed the line first, I set a new PB of a low 1:16 but this was short lived as Mike crossed the line shortly afterwards with a blistering 1:15.8 whose pace already surprised himself with everyone slotting in third down. On the second flying lap, the times and positions didn't change much with the exception of Lee @GazzaGarratt jumping up to fourth, then on his third qualifying lap take his first pole from Mike by a tenth. Race Unlike the last few weeks, we were doing standing starts, which saw Lee on pole get nothing but wheel spin allowing a better starting Mike to hold the inside in to turn 1 and take the lead. A bit of door to door action saw Tom@LordBaguette get squeezed leaving Kiwi on my tail going in to turn 2. Keeping an eye on Kiwi in my mirror, I missed my braking point for turn 3 allowing Kiwi to make a pass and move on up the podium positions. This was relatively short lived though as on the tricky last corner both Lee and Kiwi run wide giving me an easy second and as Kiwi got a better run on to the start finish straight, it saw Lee drop from second to fourth in one corner. Lee stuck close to Kiwi though and manages to re-pass him at the top of the circuit on turn 4 which also allows Tom get passed on the downhill section. The leader, Mike, touches the dirt on the way down the hill allowing me to close and get a run on him in to the last corner but the Audi is monstrous through the final corner so Mike pulls a small gap. Lap 2 it was Tom and Phil's @phil bottle turn to run wide at the final corner and losing them places. Tom running wide, left Kiwi again chasing down Lee and on the following lap, making a pass on the downhill as Lee runs on to the dirt and very wide costing him several places. As the saying goes, third times the charm, on my third attempt to follow Mike through the final corner he gaps me but I get a better exit and close up down the straight to take the lead through turn 1 which is all to brief as in a copy of Lap 1, I run wide in to turn 3 allowing Mike to retake his lead who then runs wide in turn 6 letting me back passed. Kiwi has a couple of bad laps of running wide on the last corner and ends up behind @jordie1892 who battle for the place with Kiwi making the pass, Jordie retaking the position before Jordie runs wide on on turn 3 of lap 11. To end the race Phil and @Lurch get close with their final position coming down to the final corner where Phil runs wide allowing Lurch to take the place by a little of one tenth of a second. To somewhat show how tricky the final corner of this track is, I think half my notes for this race revolved around someone or other running wide 😆 Race 2 - 3 laps Sainte Croix A Gr3 There was no qualifying for this race as we decided to try out a reverse grid based on the results of the previous race. The race is only 3 laps but as it is one of the longer tracks in GT Sport so there was going to be plenty of time for action as the faster cars at the back made their way through the pack. Race As race 1, this was a grid start which caused carnage from the start as @Shucker couldn't race but forgot to remove his entry so was at a stand still at lights out causing Mike some issues. The majority of the pack got off well and running 3 or 4 wide heading for turn 1 was a risk for a big pile up but with the exception of Pete getting knocked wide and pushing Tom wide it was mostly clean. The exit of turn 1 had Rich @tronic44 in the lead being chased by Kiwi, Lurch in 3rd with Phil and Lee bumper to bumper in 4th and 5th respectively. Mike had recovered from a stranded Shucker and was 3 wide with myself and Gary going up to turn 2 where I managed to take 6th with Mike in 7th and Gary in 8th. Rich makes a mistake runs wide at turn 6 letting Kiwi take the lead while Lurch runs wide out of turn 4 allowing Phil and Lee to close the gap. Phil takes the inside in to Turn 6 but like Rich runs deep while Lee also follows while helping Lurch in to the wall too giving me an easy pass straight to 3rd place. Sadly in recovery Lurch spins a few corners later and retires form the race. Rich goes offline through turn 8 which allows me to run round the outside of 9 and take the inside of turn 10 to move myself up to second place. Mike shortly follows with a nice move to overtake Rich at the hairpin at turn 13 with Rich losing a further place as Tom makes the pass down the start finish straight at the end of the first lap. The race calms down after the manic first lap as most people have found their rough positions and running with gaps though a few mistakes give chances and passes. I haven't really been able to close down the gap to Kiwi but in pushing Kiwi runs wide turn 10 on lap 2 allowing me to close right up but with some work still to be done if I want to get close enough to try a pass. I fail to close the gap with my last option being to try and out drag Kiwi to the line but due to misjudging my speed from the tow I brake too late for the final corner allowing Kiwi a clear run to the line. Lee, Gary and @slamminbones all get close with Lee managing to overtake Gary who shortly after takes the position though Lee manages to pass Gary right at the end. Race 3 - 4 Laps Tokyo East Loop (Wet Race) This race was scheduled for a previous week which due to time constraints it was not possible to do so it was re-run this week. In the practise for the previous weeks race, Bones was quick and topping the times but was struggling to achieve the same times during this practise session. Though I think everyone was struggling to adapt to the slippery conditions after two dry races on some of the softest and grippiest tyres available. Due to the time, we didn't do any official qualifying for this race so the grid was decided by the practise times. Race Sadly there is no footage of this race due to someone, who might have been me, forgot to save the replay which is a shame as the drag to turn 1 was interesting. Again we started this race with a standard start but on Tokyo the start line is in a tunnel so the track is dry and it's a looong run to turn 1. We all go off relatively clean but the differences in cars became apparent as Pete's speed saw him take the lead just as Phil in his Aston Martin also made a charge through the pack. Phil takes a defensive inside line in to turn 1 and brakes early catching me out causing me to have dive for the outside as I brake later. Due to the conditions both Pete and Lee run wide touching the wall but getting away mostly clean. Pete takes a drive at turn 2 to take the lead from me as Lee runs wide again this time picking up a penalty for hitting the wall. Towards the end of the lap, I make a pass on Pete retaking the lead as Lee closes up to Pete too. Lee attempts to pass Pete by going round the outside but due to the lack of grip they run wide and in touching the wall, Lee spins and sadly the game doesn't reset him until most of the pack has passed. Lee is chasing down Bones in to the final hairpin where Bones does his best Tokyo drift impression which Lee takes advantage of but Bones gets a better run and with the help of the tow repasses Lee down the straight. At the end of lap 1, I cross the line in the lead with a gap to Mike in second who has a gap to Kiwi and Phil in 3rd and 4th who in an attempt to close in on Mike try some shake and bake bump drafting though Rich has been sneaking up on them and makes a surprise pass on Phil at turn 1. Lee succumbs to some technical difficulties as his wheel slips on the desk causing him to go all pinball wizard by hitting every wall trying to re-clamp it. Kiwi without the need for shake and bake, manages to pass Mike who then tries to convince Kiwi to slow down on the straight so he can be in the tow - for some reason Kiwi doesn't.

I only have FB because of the FG Account so we can keep in touch with those that end up as that being the only contact we have left with them. I agree with a lot of this debate. Seriously, this is how debates are supposed to go, you listen to each other and still can respectfully disagree with whatever is said. I do hold Twitter as one of the main root causes to our issues we have today that spun all of this stuff up. Its literally the best and worst place to go - its where we get the latest news right from the horses mouths - fortunately and unfortunately.

  41. Happy to contribute in any position. I have the following CF CDM CAM RW CB which I will change to a RWB I think if you use all of these they cover a range of positions, I've used my CAM playing in cdm, LW, and up top sometimes, so might change my cdm to a Lwb to cover all angles. Plus if you use a wing back at CB he's rapid and the game seems to be all about pace atm.

  42. Really liked the old BF's, the last one I really enjoyed was BF1 but not sure if that was because of the game itself, or because it was WW1 and something different. Either way, hopefully they smash it because its nice to have an alternative to COD and change of game style/pace
