  1. I've had a look around, this definitely looks the way to go. The Arctis 9's are on the way! Appreciate the recommendation!

  2. There is also a demo available on the PS5 now. Game is £64.99 on Steam which is fucking ridiculous though. Not paying next gen prices for a PC game.

  3. After hearing my terrible mic quality in a few videos, figured it was time for a long overdue upgrade. Have a budget of around £200, though if there's something cheaper that's really good value all the better! Anyone have any recommendations?

  4. I've not had any sleep...but there are some changes made as of late last night to FG. For a change, no long essay from me, no long explanation - go and have a look. Massive room for scope. Just want to hear your thoughts. GGFG

  5. This is the key one I remember when i briefly tried in the past. My brain was like a 4 month old baby as it all went to mush when going into and around a corner. Thanks for the tips so far. I need to find a separate session to just practice it over and over to get the hang of it. I'll report back once I have some initial try outs.

  6. 65 quid for it PC won't sell at all. I suppose they're gonna try that shit and since fucks with more money than sense will pay it I suppose. It looks great as far as I can tell, but I guarantee I'll pay no more than 20 quid because it's now stored in the 'wait for sale' section of my brain.

  7. No, at least I don't think so. The one or two times I was in the living room and had to use his headset, I totally noticed that sometimes other people are super low. Not everyone. Just certain ones. I find it weird. My $99 wired headset never had these issues. We only got me a new wireless one because he wants me to play D2 with him and his coworkers on PC, and my wired headset wouldn't actually work. (I prefer PC for the sake of accuracy) Aside from the once in a while volume issues, I think it's a great headset... I think the issues are more user error than anything... and I don't like messing with other people's settings.

  8. Alright mate, you're welcome to post your vids on here once you've been in the community for a while. A good place to start your FG journey is by going to the Introductions thread and telling us a little about yourself. Cheers👍

    Some Changes...

Cheers all. I know most aren't into feedback and all that jazz but I really do appreciate it. Anything constructive too. We can't make our FG better if we don't know how everyone feels. Its a radical change but we've needed some of it for a while. It also means alot of space for scope because some things are technically 'unfinished' in my eyes so room for all your ideas and - hopefully - some type of support that you all feel like you can get involved in and do yourselves to make this place even better. In short: Brand New Homepage - better ways to not lose sight of the fact our place here is way more than just a forum now New Game Hubs Page New Patch Updates function - to be introduced for games of our choice Opens up more multiple pages of stuff to be added - which could be literally anything Merch updated with a few things we've previously ordered and know it works Brand new Polls page - wrapping up every poll across the entire site in one place Articles to be used as a place to better show off our FG game night stories - and everything else blog like and clearly loads more potential extra work went into to make the views work for desktop, tablet and mobile views Just keep talking up and sound off. Its been a great start to 2021 for FG with all the things going on so far; obviously i'm a little busy atm with 5 more little crazy ones to look after for a while but i'm doing what i can to make this year a fucking great one. Heres hoping theres some inspiration in there that you too want to jump on the bandwagon 🤠 (no horse and cart emoji, so you get a cowboy smile instead)

  11. I use this. Arctis 7 Gaming Headset STEELSERIES.COM Arctis 7 brings DTS Headphone:X 7.1 v2.0 Surround Sound, the best mic in gaming, and lag-free wireless with 24 hour+ battery life. My husband has their top one. We're pretty happy with our choices. Let us know what you end up with!

    PC gaming for noobs

Nyet komrade. I still exist kurwa. Chair - Ikea Markus. Breathes nicely and is cheap compared to the "gaming chairs" (which are all ridiculously overpriced). Desk - Something nice and big, if you're gonna do hobbies on this system you'll want two monitors at least, and a VESA arm to stick them to. These arms bolt or clamp to the desk so you'll want something chunky. Monitor - If you're doing photography n shit, then get a good monitor which can be colour calibrated. Do some homework on these as they can cost a ridiculous amount of money for negligible returns compared to a model down. Also, gaming monitors and "professional" monitors are generally exclusive, you'll either get a monitor that's excellent at one or the other, but not both together. This is where your VESA mount will come in, screw one of each to it and be done with it, or go for one whopper which is good at both but excels at neither. Up to you and your budget. PC - AMD all day long baby. Get a 3700x like mine (or above) which will tear through renders like a motherfucker and also shred games. It'll also last you a long ass time so you don't have to go through this faff any time soon. Should you decide to go down the Youtube ---> Twitch ---> Onlyfans route this will also render your vids rather snappily. You'll want 32gb of RAMS, 16gb will be fine for now but for rendering and stuff you'll want na bit more. For a GPU, I'd be looking at a 3070. Yes the 3080 is more powerful but honestly unless you're gaming at 4k all the time it's wasted, and 4k gaming is wank anyway. If however you want to show AMD some love, their 6800XT will trade blows with the 3070 all day long and will also probably render faster. Basically this is the 3070 fighting with the 6800XT depending on the driver cycle and games played: https://i.imgur.com/wULL7zt.gif For hard drives you'll want a 1tb SSD for your OS, editing software and a few games. Optional is a 2tb fast-as-fuck hard drive (like a WD Black, or Raptor if they still make them). This will be used as your editing drive, so your rendering and editing software can kick its teeth in all day long and it'll just take it like the filthy little slut it is, rather than using the SSD which will bitch and moan until it packs its stuff and moves in with its sister because it's sick to death of your shit. If you really get stuck in to the content creation shit then get a big, slow, lazy ass drive to just fling all your projects on. You can always get this later on if you decide. I reckon once all this 'rona bollocks is over we all head up to Yawkshurrr and do a weekend of building. If we ever get there.

  17. On controller I set the gears to square and X. Change down gears to assist turning around corners and getting acceleration out of corners. This is the trickiest bit, so practice this the most. Getting the hang of braking and going down the gears was the key for me, so practice that. Try to go down only as many as you really need. It'll be second nature no time.

  18. I don't have any tips , also thought you did already, but I just find it makes the game more involving more immersive if thats a thing.
