    Diddy's impressions

@techno told me to play the game and do a review. I wanted to do a video review but I have a good career now and my online persona certainly isn't compatible with it, so here it is in writing. I know there's a thread for it but I'm fucking fabulous so I deserve my own thread. Initial thoughts! In this year's episode of please-keep-these-cunts-out-of-all-my-other-games comes a bit of a resurgence of old, no more flying, wallrunning, only a bit of parkour and the usual camping from the same twats who all seem to have fucked controllers going by their inability to move anywhere. CoD being CoD, every single soldier is exactly the same height, which is conveniently about an inch taller than every obstruction on the map. It's almost as if the designers have designed the game around people just poking their heads out from barriers and shooting you from their forehead mounted gun. The don't-worry-corner-I'll-defend-you cunts are now joined by a seemingly whole new breed of CoD player, who shall now be referred to as don't-worry-window-my-claymore-and-I-will-defend-you! It's no surprise how much I absolutely fucking detest the CoD community, but we need CoD, and we need Fortnite for exactly the same reason, to keep them out of anything else. These career Dorito eating, mountain dew sucking please-mom-one-more-round motherfuckers deserve this irritating cunt of a game. It caters to their cheap bullshit perfectly, with dark corners, the aforementioned perfect height obstacles, windows and maps which promote these legless fucks to sit in corners with their shotguns. I could almost hear the salt from their delicious tears when they found out that their usual look-at-me noscoping bollocks is gone, but there are more than enough ways in the game to find a way to shove a whistle up their arse and fart. The maps are decent enough, @phil bottle will probably have a whinge about the Hackney map not being stabby enough to be authentic, the cave map fucking sucks, the only way to succeed is to stay out of the cave because you can bet your bottom dollar that there are two pixels of some cunt sticking out from a rock on the other end of the cave scoped in on the door you just walked in to just waiting to catch you with your safety on and then brag as if he's just stopped King Fucking Kong from stomping all over Los Angeles. Congratulations, you waited 27 minutes for someone to walk past so you could catch him off guard and then killed him. You absolute fucking hero you. The guns feel decent, but my shotgun feels like wank. It doesn't really feel like a shotgun, more like a handheld mortar that shoots confetti in the hope that your enemy chokes to death from laughing. Maybe attachments will fix this, maybe it's gone the way of the irritating snipycunt, we'll see. Either way defending those fucking doors and windows is a lot harder when you have to shoot twice, trust me! A special mention goes to the sound. Apart from the doors sounding like it's the final of most-serious-door-remains-and-the-rest-are-turned-in-to-soup-cans therefore needing to sound like they really, really mean business when touched or even stroked, the sound is absolutely spot on. Soundwhoring is back and then some, I could defend my perfect-height obstacle perfectly when I could hear bad buys coming from a mile away, and which direction they were coming from. It's fantastic. As always with any CoD, it all boils down to connection. I'm a fucking shit player at the best of times (fuck you @TigerBurge, haha) but even I can pull a blackjack and fuck shit up one match, and then suck massive donkeyballs the next. There's zero consistency, and once the frustration starts setting in, it becomes a game of revenge, more frustration, more lame ass attempts at revenge, it just goes on and on as I spiral more and more in to negative KDRs. One small item I noticed is that in the scoreboard for TDM, it only shows how many kills anyone has, not their deaths. I can only assume that this is to protect the poor kids from getting the abuse they deserve for sucking balls, the poor fellas. Shame. Here are a couple of clips from my time playing this bullshit game, of course me being the irritating cunt I am they both involve grenades. Hey man, a saffer got a reputation to live up to. And one I'm sure @ChaosGladiator will love: Can't wait for release date to play more of this incessant whiny cunt filled bullshit. See you all online you cunts.

  4. I will say that adding the mini map back into it really made it feel better. I didn’t think I missed it until it came back. Hope it stays.

  5. Really enjoyed the beta. This game went from a definite no, to a solid maybe. Really enjoyed the slowed down pace that came with it whilst keeping the fluidity of the movement. General audio was really good too and really gave a solid atmosphere to it. Gun mechanics is just standard COD but I dont think I expected anything else. Given the large party sizes for the games this could well be a winner as a communal game for us all. Looking forward to the beta again this weekend

  7. What I've played hasn't been fun. Maps have too many hidey spots for people to camp in. And too many head glitch spots. Players are out of sync. You can see somebody for a split second, die, and on their screen they've seen you for a few seconds and emptied a load of bullets into you. Having the UAV unlocked first but not having Ghost unlocked makes it impossible to flank as the other team knows where you are at all times as there is quite literally a UAV up all the time. I actually think the UAV spam is what the main issue is. People just wait for you to walk around a corner as they know where you are. Via the FG App

  8. Downloaded last night just had a quick session and I have to say my initial thoughts in the first match were ok graphics ok gun sounds etc ok then you get this And more and more and realise the map design and colour pallette etc is awful not bad truly terrible, whoever decided that these were how cod maps should be should be fired you get shot from everywhere with no time to react, I want fast paced not having to walk around like im in a swat team. No real mini map in core is also a dumb ass decision. How hard is it to make a cod game FFS it's not like there isn't enough things in the past to draw from. I was thinking I'd buy this to play with the guys off here but at the moment and unless I see more favourable reviews ( which I doubt as that's the game on release) then it's a hard no, I can't back this franchise. Eight thoughts sums it up. Edit ..I will add it's 2 gamemodes I wouldn't choose to play normally.

  9. Played a few matches and it's definitely a more faster and livelier game than it would suggest on paper. It's very polished visually and mechanically but I do have some concerns and frustrations. The maps are simply too busy; far too many doors, windows and general assets. They don't feel quite as big and there's always some action to be had but the game rewards camping so defensive players and rushers could be in for a hard time. It will take a bit of time to adapt but I don't know if I'm going to enjoy playing a different way than I usually do. The colour palette as I've already said in this thread, is a bit drab and can make identifying enemies a bit tricky at times especially if you are transitioning into a darkened room. Graphically, the game looks fantastic but it's not very sharp and the post-processing effects are dreadful. The menu could be a lot of imaginative and the colour scheme for that is a pretty odd choice also. The minimap debacle worries me - IW have tested and tried everything but as we've seen with previous beta's, that doesn't mean we'll get what the majority wants when the pre-orders are in and the game is released. I'm grateful they've experimented and acknowledged concerns within the community but I just wish they'd do away with the outline and implement the standard minimap especially when the rest of the game is supposed to mimic that of the classic COD feel. The fashionable navigation bar and compass is a waste of fucking time also. The worst thing as always is the community. Idiotic teammates or scummy opponents. All the classic negative COD emotions can be found in this game along with old frustrations. At least with recent COD's, the maps were so small and gameplay was so limited, players had to get involved rather than play passively and dirty. Also without scorestreaks, players aren't encouraged to play as a team. I do think this will be the best COD game this gen though but I'm still not sure if it's going to set the world alight long term or if it'll be dead before Christmas as usual these days. A lot will depend on Activision and how people tolerate the gameplay on offer. A lot has changed in gaming since the MW2 days and people don't really play 20 matches back to back like they used to in games and have really long sessions. Roll on next week at least. PC beta will be very interesting along with the crossplay. Hopefully some new content and they will have resolved the minimap situation and stick with whatever choice they make based on the data they receive.

  10. Loving it so far. Except a few games with Ryan, Cal, Greebs and Biron where we all struggled, I actually quite enjoyed myself on a CoD multiplayer for the first time in years.

  11. Apart from 3 or 4 matches where it seemed I couldn’t kill anyone. The rest were fine though and I enjoyed it. As Stretch said, it’s gone from a no to a definite maybe and I’m looking forward to trying the next Beta. As for the mini map, I didn’t miss it tbh. I usually only look at it when there’s UAV’s up anyway (which was constantly). Plus I quite enjoyed the more hardcore nature of having no map. It’s kinda funny when you think about it, the community moans that CoD’s are just rehashes and we want something new then people moan when it gets changed 😆
