    Division 2 Beta

I’m just going on videos I’ve watched, I’m not saying I wouldn’t like it but it seems like dlc rather than a completely different game. The base game seems exactly the same but hopefully there’s enough staying power than compared to the last game. I really wanted to play the beta but just haven’t had any time, it’s got so much promise and I hope it delivers. I think people, myself included, get annoyed when it looks like they’ve copied and pasted from the last game. I’m not saying they have to start from scratch but there has to be enough difference to warrant people spending another £60.

  3. What an absolute legend, one of the greatest goalkeepers ever to grace the field. He sounded like an absolute gentleman as well. We could do with a few more people like him.

    What do you do?

Had an interview yesterday for an IT support / desktop engineer type role. Felt it went really well, my lack of experience and qualifications didn't seem to phase them as they look more into personality and fitting into the team and being able to teach me with a technical brain. Should hear by the end of this week whether I've made the 2nd interviews. Fingers crossed Sent from my Samsung S9+ using Tapatalk

  9. I ften don't even realise when I'm writing on these topics regarding how it looks, I probably should but I'm like a dog with a bone sometimes. I had an extra pint at lunchtime today and my annoyance was obviously influenced by that, though I can't use alcohol as a defence in a court of law so shouldn't use it here[emoji16] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

  10. Sorry my original post was because I actually didn’t understand what you two both we’re saying, I even just had to google discourse. The laughing face was at myself not you guys. Reading it back it wasn’t worded very well by myself, I just didn’t understand. I love discussion and definitely don’t want to stop that, especially if I don’t understand it.

    Division 2 Beta

Actually it's worth what you or anyone else decides it's worth to them tbh. You see the same thing trotted out about destiny, " I am not paying xyz" which is fine yet others will as they will get many hours out of it making it value for money. It's not worth it to me because I don't think I will based on gameplay and moreso by playing the first installment, the same went for anthem. To me if it was first person I'd probably give it more of a chance.

    Division 2 Beta

I completely understand where you’re coming from but the Halo games were incredible and the Division was a massive let down, now they’re basically copying and pasting and asking us to spend another £60. If the first game was a massive success from the get go, then I don’t think there would much push back but people expect more now and companies have to start delivering and stop being lazy.

    Division 2 Beta

Exactly. I don't think The Division 2 looks a bad game at all but it just doesn't make the strides I would be expecting especially from Ubisoft who have proven in recent years how ambitious and strong their technology is. To see a game play itself so safe using the old formula is a little disappointing. I can tell a lot about games from just watching videos - I've probably watched over 25 hours of gameplay and information videos in recent months and a lot of people who have had unrestricted access across multiple branches have raised similar concerns that leave me on the fence. I'm looking forward to giving the open beta a go nevertheless but something that irks me in gaming is wasted opportunities and games that should be better than what they offer.

    Division 2 Beta

I haven't played it yet but I already know enough from the few vids I've watched to know that I won't be buying it. When Division 1 came out I played it for a bit, got bored and lost interest. I recently installed it again and my character is level 16 and I'm doing it more out of boredom than because I'm enjoying it. I've watched a few vids on Division 2, and from what I can tell it's not even close to being a sequel, more of Division 1.5. Some are even saying that the setting feels less authentic than the original too, not as many ambient sounds, no civilians needing help, etc. Could be beta stuff though. It's a sale game for me, not a release game, just like Anthem. Back to division 1 I guess.

    Division 2 Beta

I agree with your sentiments @J4MES OX4D and @tronic44, just disagree on the opinion that it isn't quite worth £43 (not 60 as I found it cheaper). I think it is and is enough to pay for hundreds and thousands of development hours stuck in a game. And the ongoing live support for free.

  24. RIP one of, if not the best ever goalkeeper ever.....”Safe as the Banks of England “ England's 1966 World Cup-winning goalkeeper Gordon Banks has died aged 81. Regarded as one of the game's greatest in his position, Banks was named Fifa goalkeeper of the year six times and earned 73 caps for England. He is perhaps best known for his wonder save from Pele during the 1970 World Cup against Brazil. Born in Sheffield, he won the League Cup with Stoke and Leicester, before retiring in 1973. "It is with great sadness that we announce that Gordon passed away peacefully overnight," his family said. "We are devastated to lose him but we have so many happy memories and could not have been more proud of him." https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47196017

    Division 2 Beta

The criticism of the game is all from people on the forum who didn't actually play the Beta. It's almost like we're primed to dislike, somehow. Nutty, Blue and Jewboy's opinions would be welcomed, as they all played it and enjoyed it You are all welcome to your second-hand opinions of course

    Division 2 Beta

This is the big talking point though especially when it's supposedly a new game and a £50 one at that too. The Division was great but hamstrung by technical restrictions, poorly implemented features, horrendous story, forgettable characters and a flawed concept especially compared to what they originally envisaged. Three years on from the original and they've essentially made the same core game again. There is no reason why a sequel cannot make substantial strides and this game doesn't seem to quite do it. I think a lot of people's expectations are a bit higher than that of just a plain old sequel especially with how ambitious and technically laden Ubisoft are these days. More of a step sideways than a step forward. The atmosphere of the original game was absolutely unreal. I'd never forget the first time I ventured into New York with the eerie silence, gun sounds echoing off buildings and the wonderful snow effects when walking. This game seems to lose all of that and I'm not too keen on all the greenery either. The audio comparisons are particularly disappointing and areas seem a bit bare. I hope the rest of the map is more varied and interesting. Fixed😎

  33. But is he really worth 400k a week? I know they’re not paying a transfer fee but that’s surely going to up the ante for everyone else? After tax that’s about 215k a week!!! So how much is Ronnie on? And how do Juve get their wage bill past FFP?

  35. 😂😂😂😂 Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has signed a pre-contract agreement to join Juventus in the summer in a deal that will earn him over £400,000 a week. The 28-year-old has agreed a four-year contract that will see him join the Italian champions as a free agent, ending his 11-year spell with Arsenal. Ramsey passed a two-part medical in January, having picked Juve following talks with a host of European clubs. He will be the highest-earning British player ever based on basic salary. The Wales international's Arsenal contract expires on 30 June and the Gunners will receive no fee when he leaves. In confirming the deal, Juventus said the club would incur costs of 3.7m euros (£3.2m) but did not specify what the fee was for. For more see: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47203118
