  1. @VGon_BGon48 Where do I start? Uldren is the Queen's brother yes, and he was by her side in Destiny 1, back when the Guardian was seeking information on entering the Black Garden. He was also by her side (near enough), when the Awoken fleet assaulted Oryx's Dreadnaught in Destiny 1 The Taken King. This is where Mara disappeared, presumed dead when Oryx unleashed his paracausal weapon, destroying everything in a fifteen-thousand kilometre radius around the Dreadnaught. Uldren survived, crashing on Mars but with no knowledge of what had happened to his sister. He could still sense her however, and put all of his efforts into finding her again. Meanwhile, The Reef was leaderless, searching for either of their ruling Sovs. In both of their absences, Petra Venj became acting Regent, and like Uldren, also spent her time looking for Mara Sov, not believing that she had perished. Uldren was always ruthless, doing what he had to, to reach his goals. His mind strained, he let himself be captured by the Fallen House of Kings (supposedly approved by his sister), in a bid to help them in return for use of their resources and intelligence to find Mara. This made him a traitor to his people, the Awoken, and over time his associated with the Kings led him to start conducting raids on the Reef, killing and looting, justifying his actions by Mara's sacrifice. He also wanted to destabalise Petra's control over the Reef, as he saw her co-operation with the Last City as an insult, having held a dislike to Guardians for a long time. When the Traveller awoke, Uldren broke. He could no longer hear his sister's voice, and started drinking Ether to numb the pain of losing her. At some point, he sensed her and followed it, coming across a near-death Fallen Archon Priest by the name of Fikrul who had been attacked by Guardians. Wishing to himself that he could save him, Uldren found his wish come true and Fikrul be restored to full life, but with one change; Fikrul's Ether was corrupted. Converting more and more Fallen into Scorn, Uldren and Fikrul took over the House of Kings, eventually converting it entirely. At this point, Uldren leaves the Scorn to their own devices, concentrating once more on Mara. He tries to talk to Petra Venj, but realises that wouldn't go anywhere. After a vision of his sister, Uldren tracks down a Techeun, Ilyn, and accuses her of keeping Mara Sov trapped in the Dreaming City. While on a rant about what direction the Awoken people were heading after Iltn accused him of madness, Uldren has a moment of clarity and gives up, surrendering to the Awoken. Seeing that there was clearly something wrong with him, an infection of Darkness (presumably from the Battle of Saturn) but not willing to look past his crimes against the Awoken, Petra and Cayde-6 throw him into the Prison of Elders, where he wouldn't cause any harm. Then came a prison break. Uldren, fully convinced he was following his sister's wishes, left the Prison with the Scorn, killing Cayde-6 in the escape. Having been told by his sister that she was trapped in the Dreaming City, he made a key out of Light (a shard of the Traveller), and Dark (from the infection in his body). Racing against the Guardian, he got to the Dreaming City Watchtower uncontested to meet and free his sister. But there was one small problem. Ever since the Battle of Saturn, he was never having visions of his sister or hearing her. Instead, it was an Ahamkara, a Wish Dragon, that had been communing with Uldren all this time, and while he detected that something was amiss, his blind love for his sister made him keep on going. The Ahamkara, Riven, had been brought to Mara Sov by Uldren when it was just a baby, and Mara created the Dreaming City using Riven's wishes. This was all undone when Oryx attacked the Awoken fleet at Saturn. When Oryx used his weapon, at the instant that it touched Mara, Oryx discovered the Dreaming City and visited it. The corruption of his prescence introduced the Taken, and Oryx also Took the Techuens and Riven. Riven was tired of being trapped in the Dreaming City, even after Oryx's death, and so, started to parasitically influence Uldren's mind to achieve escape. The worst thing about all of this for Uldren? His sister had always been alive. In the same instant that Oryx vapourised Mara's body and discovered the Dreaming City, Mara became a soul lost on the Ascendant Plane, much like Toland the Shattered. On Oryx's death, Mara was strong enough to find what she needed in the Ascendant Realm to free herself, allowing Petra to commune with Mara with the Oracle Engine and prove that she lived still to Petra and the Guardian. While she was sad about her brother's death after the Guardian's battle with the Voice of Riven, she did not hold a grudge. ---- Bit of a lengthy reply, but that's essentially the basics of Uldren/FakeSister/Sister situation between Destiny 1 and now. With the Forsaken lore collectables, there's a massive amount of lore for the time period before Destiny 1 involving the Sov siblings, such as when the Collapse happened (creation of the Awoken), Uldren's first visit to the Black Garden, and so on.

  2. Nice to see you getting your time down Phil. If you get down to a 1:40, next stop is 1:39’s I still need to put in a few laps to get a proper fast time. I might then do a few laps in high TC only, auto only and then both if I have enough time.

  3. I was hitting 1:41s last night but I'll wait until I get a 1:40 before posting a time. Still only done a dozen laps or so. And sadly still on automatic. I'm practising the manual gears but it's a whole new game learning the best times to shift and it'll take a while until I start posting decent times. But I like having a challenge so I'll keep at it. 5. Hopefully they won't fuck this up and make the Black Market even more grindy to get the weapons. But we'll see.

  7. Here are my thoughts on the matter: My thoughts on D1 are clear, it started off shit with a shit story and the studio couldn't get their act together so we ended up with a butchered mess which over time and many payments, they managed to mould in to a bit of a decent game. We all enjoyed it, it brought the community together and it was probably the highest FG has ever been in terms of co-operation and parties. Then D2 came out and we naturally all started comparing it to D1 at the end of its life. We admitted that D1 had two extra years of development and progress so we turned a blind eye to the sub-par game we were fed because... you know... Bungie will fix it. The game was a complete mess, but we all tolerated it because we remembered the days when we all played D1 together and that's what we wanted. Yes, we were enjoying it but there was a constant underlying feeling that I was playing a shit game, and only playing it because of the company rather than the quality of the game. Then they started putting out DLCs, and we paid. Then we paid more. Then we paid more. And now we're expected to pay again. On top of this there's Eververse which is yet another cash grab. I wouldn't be surprised if Bungie announced a subscription model at some point. The game itself isn't bad. I enjoy playing it because it's easy, it runs fairly well, it brings the people I enjoy playing with together, but let's not kid ourselves: Compared to some other titles, it's a load of shit. The amount of content on release was fuck all, and they've drip fed us more stuff over time and each time we're expected to pay for it. Fine, yet again I turn a blind eye and pay because I enjoy playing with you lot but there's still that constant, unshakable underlying feeling that I'm giving money to people who don't care about the happiness and satisfaction of their customer base. All they want is money and will do the absolute bare minimum to get it. If that means recycling content? Fine. Same guns as we had in D1? Fine. Same enemies? Fine. Same missions? Fine. They have the audacity to brag about new content all the time when in reality I'd say at least 80% of it is a copy and paste job. I used to write games when I was a wee lad, granted they were more like Snake than Destiny but during that phase I learned a hell of a lot about what goes on behind the scenes. When you start paying attention to the behaviour of bad guys and notice that many of them share the same traits, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that they're simply copy and paste jobs with different skins stuck on them. Maybe tweak a bit here, increase the jump a bit there, in the hope that nobody notices but the fact of the matter is that I do notice, and I notice it a lot. The weapons we're all supposed to be so excited about are all copy and paste jobs. The enemies we're supposed to kill are all copy and paste jobs. The missions we do are all the same ones over and over. Bungie figured out that people don't mind grinding so they're milking it, and they're doing a bloody good job. So we're using the same weapons we've been using for 4 years to kill the same enemies we've been killing for 4 years in the same missions we've been doing for 2 years. Sure, they'll add a few multipliers or whatever to make it trickier, or if they're feeling particularly adventurous maybe they'll flip the mission on its head so we do it back to front. Ground breaking stuff. Apart from end game content, their answer to everything is "more bad guys". Every mission. More bad guys. Not "aha, suddenly something new appears for free as a nice gesture towards the community that have spent literally billions on this game" - nope, copy and paste more bad guys. But if you kill them you get a shader. Or a gun you paid for 4 years ago. And that's the thing with Destiny for me and the reason i don't care for it any more. I was in denial for ages telling myself it was a decent game but the constant laziness behind the scenes just got too much for me. The fact that Bungie has the balls to charge people for content that is so sloppily and lazily put together is testament to how stupid and blind us gamers have become, and having now been reminded of what quality game development looks like and how much content you can get for your money thanks to RDR2, I won't be spending another penny on Destiny. They've milked me enough for the absolute minimum effort and content and I'm done with it. I'll still be on for Banana or whatever but I'm not spending any more money on it.

  8. The clear thing here is you have to feel like you're invested in Destiny and enjoy where the game is headed. I have absolutely zero problems in spending money because the value I am getting out of the game purely from hours putting in is enough to spend £30 now for the next 365 days. There isn't anything else that is coming out apart from Anthem which I'll try (but looks like a poor man's Destiny) that I need to save my money for. We've all known their business model and you shouldn't buy a Destiny game ever again if you think that model doesn't work for you. However, I think the main problem people are having (general Destiny people, not just ourselves) is that you pay now and You haven't got £30 worth of content straight off the bat. I know though people find that very difficult sometimes to think like that as you mostly expect to know what you're getting when you hand money over. There has always been an element of trust involved with Destiny purchases, and they are feeling the impact of a horrible D2 launch (after the initial first week).

  9. My favourite game, as far as I’m concerned there’s bugger all else out there atm so I’m in for now....probably makes me a 🐑 but at least I’m a reasonably happy 🐑 even knowing I’m being slightly fleeced! <groans >

  10. I have never even heard of that kid until now. Looks like he's more of a puppet behind his parents and they are milking it to the max. The rest of the list is practically the scum of the internet top to bottom. You have e-beggars, clickbaiters, fan scammers, liars and retards on there. YouTube is an absolute hellhole.
