The lovely Mr Bottle bought me this for my birthday and I just fired it up for the first time. I wandered around the space station thingy for a bit but holy hell does it run like dogshit on my PC. i5 2500k @ stock clocks, 8gb ram, R9 290 4gb. Turned every bell and whistle off, lowest graphics settings, the lot. Still a juddery stuttery mess. Am I missing something here? Do I need to increase the voltage on the flux capacitor? A couple of things I did notice in my brief stint: Why do we have oxygen levels on a bloody space station? Someone needs to kick the maintenance crew in the nuts, that's not acceptable. My space suit thingy has little boosters on it. Naturally the first thing I did was run off the nearest landing pad I could find to see if I'd be lost in space for all eternity, only to find that I can safely fly myself back, albeit slowly. Imma go update all my drivers and see if that helps.

Let's be honest Phil. I'm going to spend 30 seconds in the tutorial and the next 6 weeks crashing ships in to everything and asking you for help.

Went 80-15 in hardpoint on shipment, including a 39 kill streak, followed by a 15 streak in the same game. We lost, but hey ho.

I have it on disc but I think I deleted it as I was running out of space and using a controller was weird!! Also, those damn creepers are vicious in vanilla! I didn’t realise you could share a world on the console version either

One of the few promising upcoming games. Intriguing two player concept made by a good development team. Sadly being published by EA but there's no sign of loot boxes...yet.

Just posting wondering/asking who actually has minecraft for PS4. Me @Misneach_and @Mikepjbell have a half decent world and it would be gold to get back on it with others from FG at some point if anyone fancies it

In the interest of being objective, Angry Joe put his review up. Suffice to say he has a point and that is why I will enjoy it for grouping up and having fun with others rather than focusing on grinding. They will have to add to the game in the first 6 weeks imo.

The first quarterly update is due in the next week, I believe they've been working on optimisation for different types of rigs. It's a standard set up for everyone at the moment so that might hurt you a little. Something the community has asked them to prioritise, funnily enough. Did you actually call up for ship? My advice is to play in Arena Commander for a bit, there's a tutorial there for flying. Worth it for the lifting off and landing bit, which I always found tricky at first.

What a tune.

Far Cry 1 was absolutely epic, but then it was made by Crytek, the same people behind Crysis 1 too, one of my all time favourite games. Far Cry 2 was also good, I liked it more than most because of the setting and the fact that many of the enemies actually spoke Afrikaans. That's the only game I've ever seen where it's showed up. Another favourite gimmick of mine was the pickup mounted machine gun, that thing sounded like proper hellfire when fired, although the guns generally sounded good in that game. Far Cry 3 was great, Vaas was a game changer in terms of psycho bad guys. Never really bothered with 4 although I'm sure I've got it in the drawer here somewhere. I can't see myself buying 5 any time soon.

Sounds like they removed everything from D1 and are slowly putting it back into D2 and calling it an update. I know we'd like it to be good again etc but I just can't see it reaching anywhere near how it used to be, bungie seem to be beyond incompetent.

Like the different approach of if one buys it, you can play co-op with someone else for free. I think they just have to download a free trial but that's it. At £25 might be worth a punt.
