I believe this is the first step of their integration. I would've thought Discord will end up on the PS store at some point this year, this just starts to help you see the connectionvia Discord separately. Disconnect the connection and you may need to tell your browser to 'forget' your sons PSN ID because thats whats probably happened there mate

First news of the integration between Discord and Playstation starts today. Essentially you can go onto your connections on Discord and add your Playstation account and then it will show what you are playing! Here's a brief FAQ from a Bungie Article on making sure that PS exclusives won't happen. Q. As a Destiny 2 player, does Bungie becoming part of PlayStation have any immediate impact on how I play and experience Destiny 2? No. Our commitment to Destiny 2 as a multi-platform game with full Cross Play remains unchanged. We want you to play The Witch Queen on February 22, 2022, on the platform of YOUR choice. Q. Will the Destiny 2 experience on non-PlayStation platforms be impacted by Bungie becoming part of PlayStation? No. We want to maintain the same great experience you already have on your platform of choice. Q. Will any announced seasons, events, packs, or expansions be changed or impacted by Bungie becoming part of PlayStation? No. Bungie retains full creative independence for our games and our community. Our plans for the Light and Dark Saga are unchanged, all the way through The Final Shape in 2024. Q. Will Destiny 2: The Witch Queen include any platform exclusives? No. The Witch Queen will not contain any platform exclusives. Every player should have an amazing Destiny experience, no matter where you choose to play Q. Credit to @Diddums to finally helping to organise getting us off a seriously slow and inconsistent host. Many of you may not realise or be bothered on how much this makes a difference, but we can't keep doing the amazing things if we don't have a home that works as fast as you would expect it too. No more Webmaster error messages, pictures load far quicker and jobs run virtually instantly. We're paying abit more but after nearly 10 years on our own, I think it was time we had our very own private dedicated server. Special mention to @anticonscience who was brilliant in helping with the technical parts that our brains just can't comprehend. We've spent alot of time doing groundwork at the start of this year and hopefully you'll start to see the benefits of it. Oh, and if it wasn't worth the wait, don't forget - Click your notification bell at the top and ENABLE PUSH NOTIFICATIONS. Just like most websites now, you'll be able to get notifications to your mobiles, as it will come through as a mobile browser notification. And whilst i'll be the first to admit that we want to make more improvements, I hope this really helps go some way as to help keeping up with FG a little more often.

Maybe the fact that there isn't anything as big as Activision/Blizzard, they went for one of the more smaller yet successful companies out there right now. Sometimes I think we have to give Sony credit when credit is due. Not for this deal but based on their experience of buying smaller developers in, and essentially allowing them the freedom to make such incredible IPs in recent years, its why Microsoft have been trying to make moves since creating Game Pass and now buying Acti/Blizz. If it was me, I definitely think buying Bungie based on their morals and integrity (so far) is a better buy than something like Call of Duty right now. Its still $3.6 billion. Not sure what else is on the market to buy? Regarding Konami, that would've been ace personally but I think the play now is trying to keep in the European and Western markets - The East is now just full with Mobile games and with the recent restrictions China imposed on all youngsters, you would say there seems to be more method than madness in the deal.

I doubt they'll hit the PS exclusive loot too. Destiny 2 just shared this on Twitter. It does follow every move they have made since having full creative control. Glad to see it stay that way too.

News just broke! Sony buying Bungie for $3.6 billion WWW.GAMESINDUSTRY.BIZ Destiny studio will remain multiplatform, able "to self-publish and reach players wherever they choose to play" $3.6 Billion. Great news personally. Lets hope they get even more Devs to work on the game through this. Sony supporting some companies has worked very well if you look at all of their exclusives.

Looks like Wednesday we'll get 30 minutes of PS5 gameplay, and hopefully a more in depth look at gamemodes and cars/upgrades. Definitely warming up me cockles for this now 😎

Anything to help the playerbase i'm all for....but I suspect its the underlying UI and gameplay they really need to make more consistent and easy to use for this to be a total success.

A great article and now a great little thread. We're rubbish at taking photos of each other, and we try to have a go at each other about how to get more pictures. I think cloud saving will become even more important these days to try and store our memories for future generations. Thanks, Dave.

As Lee'esh says above, never apologise for explaining who you are! Its great to see you do an intro...and hi to the both of you! Ant sums it well I think (well, I'll always be slightly bias 😉) as there's loads to get involved, and thats just the forum side. Loads of areas for fun and get to know more about other FGers too. As many games are crossplay, hopefully they'll be some we cross paths on? Anyways, enjoy your stay both at FG!

Here's the full gameplay release event, including the Ambassadors and clubs so far signed up to them. Obtaining Ronaldo I think is solid news and the gameplay looks decent enough, especially for a Free 2 Play game. They've said it includes 2v2 and 3v3....shame I didn't hear about a mode similar to Pro Clubs but we can live in hope they can do something like that on release. The Divisions when playing look great too. I don't think it will play as well as FIFA straight off the bat but this looks miles better than what eFootball offers. A 200 strong team on one game should mean this game gets well supported and has every chance. Would love to see a release date in the first part of the year.

I'm going to have to find time to watch the newest Suicide Squad film so I can get up to speed with this. Cena seems to be making waves with his acting performances of late.
