Some great football and banter across last Sunday and Monday. Some fantastic goals scored too...don't think i've scored a screamer off the wrong foot like that in, well, ever 😅 Torpedo Tony played incredible on MNF and racked up 4 well deserved goals in the process. James managed to grab 17 goals over the weekend, despite thinking he was playing crap and also had an added bonus of pissing of @jordie1892 who will forever nopt be able to score his maiden hattrick in the new stat era 😄 Monday was topped off by also securing the Division 3 title once more, and the first time @Antpool84 , @J-Lurch and @TonyAE86 has picked it up. All games have a play loop. I think the challenge here is to see through the problem and acknowledge they are on the right path to removing the power grind as its at its lowest requirement to get Pinnacles. However, we're in that middle-no-mans-ground where we have some power grind as they aren't ready to replace it with whatever comes next. @Horrible_Hector made a good point the other night on the raid that 'Lightfall' makes it sound like this is the perfect time to remove a number from power if you wanted to as it makes it sound like they could remove something from us. I will still hold the biggest thing they can do is rename the 500 blue, green and grey guns and we'll enjoy seeing so much more loot to use. And it won't feel like its recycled content as no one ever uses these guns anyway.

Yeah totally agree with the Crucible element. It was the one area that whilst we waited for more content or wanted to just chill on the game, it would always be in the Crucible. I don't have the same pull either. However, I'm lucky as I love Gambit which I think weirdly now has more legs than Crucible does. I really want to get into the Iron Banner seal but I think they missed a trick by making Rift and Control as two options rather than force you to play Rift. We have this week (Week 2) and apparently Week 8 to only play Iron Banner through the 12 week season. Part of me feels like we'll get a communication that Iron Banner will come back in Week 11 or something because it needs that extra week of updates to make it worthwhile imo.

Yeah, my wife has literally had CourtTV on for the past 3 weeks solid in our house 😅 Not sure what she'll do with her life now! I ended up becoming interested in it because I couldn't get away from it tbh. You end up wanting to learn more about the lawyer side than anything else. The verdict was pretty damning - 43 questions had to be all answered in favour of Depp and they were. Not the same way on the Heard side, although she at least saw that the Depp's previous attorney made mistakes which made a small dent in the overall verdict. Its just really sad that 2 people's lives have to be put out there in this way. Both lives will never be the same again. Depp I think will at least have more happier days than Amber will. I think we both came to the conclusion in our house that she has difficult mental problems which really needs professional help. She was utterly convinced what had happened to her, so I don't think its just the case of she lied to try and save herself. She really looked like she saw the same events in a completely different way. Like you said @Teenwolf25 , Depp has many problems too. I think the difference is that he iis willing to accept he has them and thats the first step to recovery. People were talking afterwards that he may go one step further and just say scrap the money, as it was the verdict was all he wanted. That would most likely propel him even further into the next batch of top movies. My prediction was also to see him play a top superhero or supervillain after Amber is likely not to be cast in any Hollywood superhero films anymore.

Absolutely more than welcome @Luseth ! As James says, we rotate alot as its all about having a good laugh together. Keep checking up on the events on the calendar as we usually group up if there is an event (Super Sunday and Monday Night Football being the most regular ones). You'll see to we use this thread as the activity thread to share our stories when we all do play on a given night. If we can grab some highlights, its a brucey bonus too.

I would agree this and wanted it gone for a few years now. I think they are the closest to getting rid of it as now power only goes up 10 per season. I think the challenge is so many people's habits on this game (new and old) are pushed towards "I need to find the big number things!", so they just do the Pinnacle activities to get that stuff. An RPG that does damage numbers kind of needs the idea of a Power number to show how you can get a little more damage out of things and more reasons to chase loot, although I would much prefer the game move towards some form of weekly/monthly completion objectives that give you rewards of different loot to obtain that does funky cool stuff. Its been a lighter start for this season in Week 1 for sure. The Dungeon is definitely the pinnacle of the entire season so that coming out on Friday really helped. Challenge now is that if thats out on Friday, what else will come each week? The Iron Banner having a Seal is definitely something to try and help flush out the content abit more and I will look to play it this week because of it. I expect to see more Quests and potential new activities coming out through the woodwork. The Destiny cycle is one that in itself is cyclical. We're into Year 7 of Destiny and I think following up this latest DLC is a real hard job as you come off a fantastic campaign into smaller activities that can feel meaningless if you're not a person that sets objectives up to chase. I also think its not just Destiny. Many games are feeling the same way lately. I think we're in the middle of a bit of a dry spell that we're all looking for a game that helps us not think too much and tells us what to do. I think for this reason alone, I do wish Destiny had a toggle option to help the player tell them what to try/do next.

That helps to know, thanks Shucker. Do you use your one character and stuff account wide on any new game then? I saw the roguelike explanation of the timeloop/reset feature but didn't really understand what I was going to be looking for to make it worhwhile. I imagine the game pushes you through the objectives if you can stay alive?

Like Kenny says above, welcome to FG @Luseth ! We used to have those 'Speakers Corner' sections years ago but I think this place is way more about keeping that family feel around the place and having good banter with all FGers now 😄 Doesn't mean you have to agree with everyone though for sure! Definitely lots of shooter/FPS people here which hopefully be nice for you to jump in with. Hopefully they'll be some games we crossover on at some point. Lots of events pop up across the board so make sure you keep an eye out for them. What consoles do you usually play on? Play on PC too? How do these expeditions work then? Do you have to go to a certain place in Space? I always wondered if it was reallyeasy that you could select an instance that would take you straight there perhaps?
