  1. World of Illusion > Castle of Illusion. The story that could be played co-op was literally one of my all time top games of the Mega Drive. How they made Mickey and Donald work together in certain parts was really ahead of the times. Each level is incredibly made too. Never gets old completing this game. Premier Manager (the original one) was super. I used to play as Cambridge United iirc. So hard to get up the leagues, especially with such pants budgets! The other one that got me into racing games early doors was Virtua Racing. The cartridge is unusually large compared to the others due to 'brand new 3d graphic models' it brought from the arcade machines to home consoles. Grabbed this from Wiki: "Due to the complexity of the Model 1 board, a home console version seemed unlikely, until 1994 when a cartridge design incorporating the Sega Virtua Processor (SVP) on an extra chip was created to enable a version on the Genesis/Mega Drive. This chip was extremely expensive to manufacture, leading Sega to price the Genesis version of Virtua Racing unusually high: US$100 in the United States[13] and £70 in the United Kingdom."
  2. I think temper expectations to expect something that looks like GTA 5.5 when we receive GTA6. I can't see how it could feel a brand new GTA game, unless it has a completely brand new map - if it was me, i'd suggest to put multiple maps in GTA6. Maybe also rebrand GTA6 to essentially THE GTA World. That way it opens the door easier for regular updates and people will forget they'll be flogging the new GTA for 20 years on whatever consoles are to come. Tbh, I just want a better GTA party system. With GTA on this FG Friday, i'm sure we all want to play GTA rather than what we usually play is GTA Loading.
  3. I've said yes as I can't see why my family won't get in the way of a few hours of fun! Hopefully we'll get a 6 together.
  4. My top 5 thinking quickly about it: Mega Drive SNES Xbox Gamecube PS1 Mega Drive was my first console, and my love for Sega over Nintendo will forever stand (FU Mario!). The games on that were incredible, however what probably helped was I could still try out the SNES when I was 10 upwards because @Findmartin had the SNES so we'd alternate games. Funny thing is SNES seemed to have better co-op games to play together until the PS1. The only real huge shift in games for me came with the original Xbox. Xbox Live changed my life and games overnight and if it wasn't for how i grew up with the Mega Drive, I think my Xbox would win hands down. Its probably why I got big into online gaming and multiplayer games way more in general. @J4MES OX4D I missed the N64, probably because my lack of love for Nintendo. Although, when I was old enough I got a GameCube and it honestly was incredible how unique their games were. I imagine N64 was the same, especially with the likes of Goldeneye? Racing wise, Gran Turismo was just the best although I played TOCA 1 and 2 alongside V-Rally 1, 2 and 3 way more because of the Championship co-op ability they had.
  5. Really looking forward to seeing it and your views on how different it feels playing the same games we've been playing on our PC together. Also, can you give us an update on how the Mic/Voice feels on it too. Not sure if you've had to purchase a different headset to work with it or not!
  6. Yeah, that actually should be fine because I'm sure PS2 is a component connection (red, yellow, white plugins). The PS1 is RF / Aerial, but even that works fine if your TV has it, which it should being that age. Its only the much older consoles that struggle on the RF connection. I've realised not only did i buy the upscaler to HDMI, but I bought new wires that were component ones rather than be the one RF Aerial signal for my Megadrive and SNES. This SNES one costs £5.99 and works actually for the Gamecube too. 8. This is what I ordered @Spacedeck : RCA to HDMI, GANA 1080P AV to HDMI Video Converter Mini RCA Composite CVBS Adapter Supporting PAL/NTSC with USB Charge Cable for PC Laptop Xbox PS4 PS3 TV STB VHS VCR Camera DVD : Amazon.co.uk: PC & Video Games WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK RCA to HDMI, GANA 1080P AV to HDMI Video Converter Mini RCA Composite CVBS Adapter Supporting PAL/NTSC with USB Charge Cable for PC Laptop Xbox PS4 PS3 TV STB VHS VCR Camera DVD :... Its £11.04 right now. Needs its own power source and then you also need a separate HDMI cable but this is what I use for my older consoles like the Mega Drive and SNES. Actually, my current 32 inch TV still takes in Aerial/RF input and the PS1 I've tried works fine on it. Its a JVC White 32" Flat TV. Nothing exciting about it, I got 2 of them back from Curry's years ago cos I needed white TVs! They should really be just over £100 now and better than getting a CRT TV. Whilst you can get way more expensive things to run better, I honestly don't see how that upscaler is losing anything on my gameplay. The graphics actually look crystal too. @Findmartin and myself play regularly on Mario Kart through it on the SNES and you can see the difference from RF to HDMI. It was the icy stages that would struggle and kill the gameplay, whereas its now clearer via that upscaler on everything.
  9. Afternoon all! A new story thread for us to keep everyone updated on all of our escapades and laughs along the way. Finally managed to get onto the DayZ PS4 server on Sunday and it was a nice surprise to see so many of us on it at the same time checking it out @ChaosGladiator @jordie1892 @Nutcuttlit @Luseth . I started my spawn in Novyshovo, or whatever its called. The furthest South West on the main land I believe. Sebba started to make his way to me, but within a few houses I felt pretty good finding some half decent loot, a full police outfit that always looks cool and is well insulated, and a couple of sharp things to bop Zombies - a Scythe being the one I ended up using first! For once, I felt confidently that I could meet Sebba at Msta, slightly North of my current destination. Probably should've waited for the truck, but anyhow, as I made my way I got caught up in a few Zombie fights. Luckily only got cut once and managed to find Seb's mahoosive truck which we then took to a solid car to swap materials and help go get Jordie considering the biggest vehicle in the game couldn't fit more than 2 people in it - FML 😅 After collecting Jordie and then Matt, we made our way to check out what the vendor looked like as Nutty was coming from the opposite side of the island at the same time. We got there and it was a like a gold mine! Anything you could need is in there. I think I like @jordie1892 's thoughts that we keep this locked down, and only really use it much later if it gets a successful turn out with FGers and also randomers. It made me really want to get going into the North West Airfield for more loot and kicking some zombies ass! However.... It had been raining - tons - since we left Electra where Jordie was, so we needed to get warm and dry our clothes. I rung my top out but saw Jordie next to the barrel fire and doing it that way. Seemed to make sense. I could just stand there and over time i'll get dry. Or so I thought. I stood close to it for a minute and then walked around for a moment but was still wet, so back to the barrel I went. Next thing I knew though, my screen went black. I thought the server needed a reset and we all got kicked off....until Jordie and Matt are laughing their tits off as i'm, apparently, on the floor, knocked out with my foot now dangled in the barrel. I have literally no idea what is going on. Everyone is laughing at my still body and i'm looking at a continued black screen. They start pouring water over me, jabbing me with meds, but no response. I start seeing a faint light but falling unconscious again. Next thing I know talk about my clothes and handcuffs comes out. This was what I couldn't see... I have to say, I'm just glad my videogame self was packing below, because clearly I was tied up, half naked and somehow losing life whilst lolz continued. No idea how this happened. Must've been getting too hot close to the fire but couldn't work it out. After 5 minutes, the server did restart, but I was then found back at the coast, so it clearly killed my half naked body through my left foot burning. I still had time to race into the nearest town, drink some water from a bottle, get sick, and then cut myself so much from Zombie fighting with said water bottle and died a second time. I'm now back in a coastal town, on top of a freight with zombies around me - again. Good, solid first day of Survival on the server with FG as per usual! 😅
  10. That is so weird @IRaMPaGe , after sorting out events for the whole of July, I planned on picking it back up again this week! Thanks for sharing pal! ❤️ And its totally okay its not Thursday mate 😎🤣
  11. Picked up a few SNES games last week. Final Fight is an absolute must. Was kind of a lesser game to Streets of Rage but it was still great to play. Always wanted to get into The Lost Vikings too. And any old golf game is a steal. 😎
  12. Oh man, those teams were gash 🤣🤣 Nice game @Macca89 , really wish my striker had more than 32 Pace! 🤣

    FG France FIFA 22 Cup

This cup will be for FGers to pit their wits against each other with French teams! This is a 16 team tournament so we need ALL your interest on this one!! Once all slots are filled, we'll do a random selector to give everyone a team from Ligue 1 and we'll comment in the Tournament Notes section which FGer has which team. The draw is automatically generated once all slots are filled so it really is pot luck in terms of the draw and the team you get! It will be one game, 1v1 for the usual duration of 15 mins per game. Please add extra time and penalties if you can before starting. Winner proceeds to the next round. Let's see how we get on with this tournament and we can then make more with other leagues and tweak rules as and when we think is necessary. If you already have a team, feel free to sign up and click 'Join Tournament!'! If you don't have a team, mention your name below and I'll help create a team for everyone for the first tourney as the system always needs 2 to start it (I can create teams and then leave them allowing you to be a single player team. Once you have your team, you just click 'Enter' with the same team in future tourneys! Job done! GGFG Folks!

  14. Whilst born in the 80s, I really wished I was old enough to experience it in full flow. The Disco's, the nightclubs, the extravagant and hilarious outfits and mullets. Plus, I think there was probably a lot more opportunity when it came to sport and maybe making it as a professional in some of them. I'm not sure how much 80s stuff I have but I listen to a ton of music from that era. My probably my NES and Master System's come close as what I own. We used to have a Lamp from my Grandads that we put a new shade on it but the bottom was definitely 80s style. In the loft now, so i'll try and find it and share some pics when I can.
  15. No age to go. I remember watching him back in the 90's in the Old Firm clashes that were insane. A class act and an amazing shot stopper. RIP ❤️
  16. Wowser, that looks like its come a long way already. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye this game.
  17. I'm looking forward to actually getting back into everything Valheim tbh! We may need to look at it and see what to build/do/explore and even think if we need a new world - maybe thats more for when we get to the next big patch me thinks.
