  1. Thought I'd start a thread for photos that everyone takes of this game as thr ones I've seen so far look visually stunning. Let's see them people!
  2. Over the last 12 weeks, we've been listening to your feedback and working behind the scenes to make the next season of Competitive Play even better. So before you dive into your placement matches, let’s talk about some of the changes coming to Season 4. Skill Rating Changes Back in Season 2, we introduced a skill rating decay system, which required players in the Diamond, Master, and Grandmaster tiers to complete at least one competitive match every seven days in order to maintain their status. This season, players with a skill rating above 3000 will need to complete at least seven games per week—a change that will improve the accuracy of the player’s skill rating, make maintaining multiple high-level accounts more difficult, and make upper-tier placement more meaningful. When you complete a match, the amount of time until skill rating decay occurs is pushed back by 24 hours, and you can bank up to seven days per week. That means as long as you manage to play seven games over a one-week period, your skill rating will be safe. You could play one match per day or complete all seven in a single session. It’s up to you. Last season, we retooled the skill rating and placement match mechanics to more accurately place players into an appropriate tier. Overall, we’re extremely happy with these changes, but we've noticed a few issues at the extreme ends of the skill rating spectrum. Some players, for instance, have been deliberately throwing matches in an effort to reach the lowest attainable skill rating. We obviously don't want to incentivize this behavior—because Competitive Play works best when everybody is trying—so we're making it a little more difficult to hit the lowest and highest possible ratings: 0 and 5000. We're also no longer displaying skill rating values that are lower than 500. This change will have no effect for players who have a skill rating between 500 and 4500. Top 500 Changes We're also making some changes to the Top 500 leaderboard. Previously, any player who managed to break into the top 500 at any point throughout the season would receive a special spray and player icon at the end of the season. This meant that many players no longer had an incentive to maintain their status as the season progressed, which could result in less competitive matches toward the end of the season. Starting today, these rewards will only be granted if the player is in the top 500 leaderboard at the end of the season. This will make the end-of-season leaderboard rankings much more competitive as players fight to reach the top 500 Respawn Changes Until now, stalling an attack by repeatedly throwing yourself at the point has been a common defensive strategy on Assault, Escort, and Assault/Escort maps—even when the attackers have a decisive advantage. Typically, this tactic doesn’t change the outcome of battle; it simply delays the attackers’ progress. This season, we’ve implemented a respawn time delay that’s activated when the attackers outnumber the defenders on a contested point. If the point hasn’t been captured and the defense hasn’t regained the advantage after a specified time, the defender respawn timer will slowly begin to increase until it hits a maximum value. If the defense manages to gain the upper hand, the timer resets to zero. We hope this change will improve the attackers’ ability to capture the point (when they have the advantage), encourage defenders to group up and retake the objective, and reduce the number of ties. However, we are currently working on a more robust solution for breaking ties on Assault maps.
  3. March's game have been leaked via a french gameblog. Tearaway Unfolded and Disc Jam for PS4. Tearaway is the ps4 equivalent of the ps vita game and Disc Jam has apparently scored really high in all reviews. Finally a half decent month!
  4. It looks better than expected. I'm picking this up today so I can play it around Overwatch.
  5. Nice one @Diddums. So I'll need to party up to get missions done first. I'll then have the money for an apartment and car. Didn't know i had to get car insurance too, wtf?! Are the normal missions from the story mode but with Online people/mode active at the same time?
  6. Here's the details of the patch. It's already available for PC with console updates to follow ASAP. I've omitted the PC specific fixes - once the patch comes out for console we can add the extra detail in here. For Honor v1.03 patch notes – General Feats Shugoki Fixed a bug that caused players to lose the “Hard to Kill “ Feat upon death. Orochi & Berserker Addressed bugs with their area of effect (AOE) ground Feats not working if the player stopped moving The Orochi’s Nail Bomb & the Berserkers Stun Trap Feats now apply their damage effects correctly to characters who trigger the trap, but stop moving towards the trap, as it was intended. Valkyrie The Valkyrie Bloodlust Feat is now triggered on all types of kills as it was intended. Berserker, Warlord, & Valkyrie Tweaked the “Rush” Feat animation transition bug from idle to sprint animations Fight All Fighters We reverted the Guardbreak mechanics to the Beta behavior in order to have it be a more usable skill. Guardbreak is no longer un-counterable if you’re Guardbroken during Guardbreak startup. Attacks that cannot be blocked because they are too fast no longer display the Unblockable Attack feedback. Fixed camera clipping issues with walls on executions Peacekeeper Some tweaking was made on the Peacekeeper during the Beta, which caused some bugs and unintended changes. We are changing some of her moves to behave as designed. Fixed the Peacekeeper Guardbreak and Bleed stacking bug Stab 1 applies 2 dmg + 15 Bleed dmg over 10 sec Stab 2 applies 2 dmg + 12 Bleed dmg over 8 sec Stab 3 applies 2 dmg + 9 Bleed dmg over 6 sec Bleed damage now stacks up for a total of 36 dmg, in the Beta this total was higher (45dmg) but has been reduced for balancing along with the accompanied bug fix Increased the range of the Peacekeeper Stab Attack to fix issues with missed stabs and therefore not applying Bleed Stab range increased from 1 m to 2 m Changed the range distance of the Peacekeeper Light Attack. She can now connect a Light Attack after a parry. Normal Light Attacks had their range increased by 0.25 m; from 2.75 m to 3 m Berserker & Conqueror Light Attack recoveries decreased to prevent free Guardbreak on Block. This was never the intended behavior. Berserker’s Light Attacks and chained Light Attacks recoveries on Block reduced from 900 ms to 700 ms Conqueror’s Light Attacks and chained Light Attacks recoveries on Block reduced from 900 ms to 700 ms Valkyrie Overall Valkyrie gameplay update/buff. We found that the changes we made during our latest Technical Test were impacting too much the dueling abilities of the Valkyrie. She has gone from the 1st place in Win/Loss in Duel to the last spot. We’ve made some of her moves a little faster and we’ve added some mix-ups. Pouncing Thrust & Hunter’s Strike damage increased from 12 dmg to 17 dmg Pouncing Thrust & Hunter’s Strike can link into Light Chain faster: from 400 ms – 900 ms to 200 ms – 500 ms Light Attacks recoveries reduced by 100 ms Light Attack Miss Recovery 900 ms to 800 ms Light Attack Hit Recovery 700 ms to 600 ms Light Attack Interrupt Block Recovery 800 ms to 700 ms Light Attack Regular Block Recovery 700 ms to 600 ms Light Chain second Attack Startup reduced by 100 ms, recoveries reduced by 100ms Light Chain second Attack Startup 600 ms to 500 ms Light Chain second Attack Miss Recovery 800 ms to 700 ms Light Chain second Attack Hit Recovery 600 to 500 ms Light Chain second Attack Interrupt Block Recovery 700 ms to 600 ms Light Chain second Attack Regular Block Recovery 600 ms to 500 ms Shield Crush can now be chained into Light Chain After 400 ms into Hit Recovery After 500 ms into Miss Recovery Hunter’s Rush Recoveries shortened by 200 ms Miss recovery 1000 ms to 800 ms Hit recovery 800 ms to 600 ms Interrupt Block recovery 900 ms to 700 ms Regular Block recovery 800 ms to 600 ms Orochi Increased the dodge back on the Orochi’s “Riptide Strike” Increased the backward displacement from 1.75 m to 2 m Game mode Duel, Brawl, Elimination Bots joining an in-progress match will be dead for the current round. 7. Been meaning to post about this. I love space and this was a really interesting and exciting find. Where the hell is space travel?!! Life may have evolved on at least three planets within a newly discovered solar system that is 39 light years from Earth, it was announced last night. Astronomers at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa) have detected no less than seven roughly Earth-sized worlds orbiting a dwarf star in the system, it was announced today. Scientists had previously only identified a tiny number of so-called “exoplanets”, which are believed to have the qualities needed to support life. However, the new system contains an unprecedented number of Earth-sized, probably rocky planets, and is being hailed as an “accelerated leap forward” in the search for extraterrestrial life. Three of the new planets are said to be particularly promising because they could sustain oceans. Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator of Nasa’s Science Mission Directorate, told a press conference in Washington: “This gives us a hint that finding a second Earth is not a matter of ‘if’, but ‘when’.”
  8. So....what about it @phil bottle? You fancy getting PES 2017 just to play the odd game here and there? Not sure if you can link up though like pro clubs, i thought you could but it's been a while.
  9. Switch off router at the pivotal point and then away you go. As long as you win. The below video explains it. Skip the first 1/2 minutes of it btw.
  10. Just a few minor updates: New spinning FG Logo (thanks @Greboth for making it spin) added icons to all subforums and game discussions raised support ticket for toolbar issues. Looking to add a black theme one to match
  11. I've heard through some of you guys that the connection has been hit badly over the recent week or so. Looks like Ubisoft are compensating players for the impact that it has caused. Here's hoping they get it fixed as it looks a swell game to co-op together. -------------------------------------------------- Ubisoft suffered a global outage this past weekend that affected many of its games including For Honor. In order to compensate players, the developer has announced that it’ll be offering a three-day Champion status over the upcoming weekend to those who attempted to access the battleground between Feb 13 and Feb 26 at 2:00 am EST. Here’s what you get with the Champion status: – More Salvage from dismantling Gear – More end-match Loot – +25% XP Boost – 3 Exclusive Champion Emblems – An Exclusive Champion Icon next to your name – +10% XP Boost for all players on your team – Champion Statuses stack (i.e.: if you bought the Season Pass, you will get 3 extra days) During the same weekend, there will also be a special community Order that will reward participants with double the amount of steel than usual. The compensation applies to players across all platforms, with Ubisoft noting: When you log into the game on March 3rd your account will have been granted the Champion Status (all accounts should be processed by midnight EST).
  12. Also, you can turn crafting into your own quests, which subsequently means you can hold more stash too. Love that idea.
  13. Thanks @PlasticGaming and @Plumbers Crack. It may take a bit of time with the toolbar. As you say, it does work but its a pain in the arse that the image doesn't match the action. I also want to change the colour of it so i'll be having a look to see what I can do for you both.
  14. Found a few starter tips on the net to be aware of. Save the game often Scavenge everything Fail to prepare… Stay on the move Stealth can help Know thy enemy
  15. My money is on VoG being upgraded as a thank you to Destiny 1 players. I also think they'll upgrade the original elemental guns because that will ignite the chace for the treasured guns. Maybe I'll actually drop a Fatebringer eventually.
  16. Thanks for @wapntake finding that Destiny 2 is confirmed as a full sequel for Q3 this year. There is a good chance they will follow other games that are still on the scene 2/3 years later as they have said they will have follow-on content plans for growth rather than expansions. That excites me alot. Planets are due to become complete destinations rather than just patrol missions, etc. You could stumble across small cities with new quests and storylines. As always expected Activision have said the story will more relatable characters and much more cinematic story telling. As long as they don't lose Cayde I'm game. It also has a significant chance of coming to PC this time round.
  17. I had Zelda on the GameBoy and I found it awesome yet so hard. Installments after that one didn't seem worthwhile, maybe from a biased Sega fan perhaps but I'm really thinking of picking this up with a Switch. Testament to them keeping just for themselves. It would probably ruin the franchise if it went multi-platform. This and Mario Kart will be fantastic to play. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  18. They've already handed out over 400 bans and many may have permanent bans already. I believe it's mainly through PC so far. Didn't expect to see that many hackers into the game already. If you are cheating btw, the bans happen at account level, not hardware level. Although, why on earth you'd do it is beyond me. 70 bans were through their Code of Conduct communication rules. That doesn't bode well for a few in here...
  19. I need to send you my quintuplet one we had near the end!
  20. Another great episode @Greboth. Love how you got @Stretch616 over @crispymorgan! Also nice to see @tronic44, @TehMoe and @SyntaxMonstr (Tower) on there aswell!!
  21. So this happened yesterday... https://twitter.com/OverwatchEU/status/835158190434185217 Doomfist glove on Numbani has also gone from the payload.
  22. Could be worse. Could get Coventry's old manager [emoji58]
  23. That.... is a pretty bad list of issues. Makes me wonder has the development support wained a bit thin for this game now we've entered Season 2? Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  24. I'm away tonight and tomorrow so will look at this over the weekend. It bothers me that the toolbar is shit too, but I'll need to understand more about what the default theme is doing wrong before I can work out a solution. We'll sort it though, as this is the kind of shit I need to know rather than worrying if it would affect people. I/we won't always make changes based on one opinion, however this is everyone's forum so I'm game to try and improve it for all of you. We're getting there, I believe
  25. This For Honor Conqueror guide will help you learn the character and will provide tips and tricks you can use to outclass your opponent. The Conqueror in For Honor is a massive tank character that focuses on getting the advantage over his enemies through completely outlasting them. You have the ability to interrupt heavy attack chains because you possess Superior Block. This undoubtedly makes you a scary foe for anyone. You'll need to stay in close range as Conqueror and play safe. Focus on finding ways to use any of your unblockable attacks, but don't use them too often as it'll train your opponents that match to specifically look out for it. Always, always remember to use your Revenge meter. Revenge boosts your damage and health — as a Conqueror you're going to need to abuse the bonuses whenever possible. Revenge mode makes all your attacks uninterruptible as well and attacks are auto-parried on activation. Basically, makes you something to run away from. You'll need your Revenge meter to find an opening if you're not getting parries in or depleting enough of your opponents stamina. Feats You'll gain more feat resources playing objectives and killing enemies — playing into your set "role" will garner you more resources overall to unlock them. As a Conqueror you should be looking to be a stable player, but keep in mind the objectives. Know when to be aggressive and when to stay put. If the other team gets to 1000, you're going to be set on sudden death. First Slot Speed Revive — Unlocked at level 1. Rapidly revive fallen teammates. Conqueror — Unlocked at level 5. Capture and upgrade control zones faster. Body Count — Unlocked at level 13. Killing soldier grants you health and stamina. Second Slot Juggernaut — Unlocked at level 1. Lose movement speed for better defense. Shield Basher — Unlocked at level 7. Shield based attacks will now deal offensive damage Fiat Lux — Unlocked at level 15. Throw a flash grenade that completely blinds enemies for a couple of seconds. Third Slot Punch Through — Unlocked at level 1. Deal damage on blocked attacks. Pugno Mortis —Unlocked at level 9. Throw an explosive projectile that deals damage over an area. Heal on Block — Unlocked at level 17. Blocking regenerates your health. Fourth Slot Uninterruptible — Unlocked at level 1. Your actions cannot be interrupted for a short period of time. Regenerate — Unlocked at level 11. Regenerate health when outside of combat. Catapult — Unlocked at level 19. Call a catapult strike over an area. As you level up, more feats will be available to you. Here are my favorite feats to use when they become available to you. Speed Revive — You are the cornerstone of your team regardless of game mode. As such, tanking and getting quick revives are a must. Juggernaut — As the tank, anyway to mitigate damage is great. However, the Shield Basher feat may also be a good choice depending on your team's composition. Heal on Block — Literally free heals. If you are good on the support front, try going with Punch Through for more damage. Uninterruptible — Guaranteed hits for a period of time... this feat comes in extremely clutch. Playstyle 4v4 Dominion Play around your allies. No one is a solo-monster in For Honor, not even the Conqueror. Fighting in 2v1's is almost a guaranteed death. Keep your guard up and zone in on enemy attacks for the opportunities to parry enemies. This will be your bread and butter. Be sure to keep in mind your surroundings as Conqueror. You'll want to stay away ledges during fights or you'll get thrown off. Be the foundation of your team. 4v4 and 2v2 Brawl In 4v4's and 2v2's, you need to be able to outlast your opponents during your 1v1 consistently. Hold out until your friend can assist you. As a Conqueror you can tank and block plenty of the early aggression and fight when the enemy is low on stamina. Always keep in mind Full Block Stance. It'll save your life in many occasions. 1v1 Duel Conqueror excels at 1v1 fights due to the character's natural amount of health and ability to block easily. Your opponent will try to counter you by getting quick hits or poke damage from range — you cannot let this happen.
