Definitely will return and probably should have given it more of a chance but this is definitely a game that will remain popuar for a long time even well after it's finished. I will certainly keep my eye on the fourthcoming optimisation patches as that could see me return sooner than expected.
Sorry Phil but I refunded it
Played a couple of matches and I was rubber-banding all over the place, the controls were clunky and unresponsive and I found the map a bit bland. Plus it nearly fried my GPU so I had to get rid and get my £27 notes back. Gutted but will look to purchase again when the game is more stable and optimised. This was too early access for me sadly!
MW2 Remastered will probably be released in 2018 by Raven when the 'other' Infinity Ward attempts yet another COD game which will probably be even worse than their Ghosts and Infinite Warfare. Although MW2 is my favourite COD and one of my all time top games; I'd hate to see its legacy ruined in a shitty remaster just like what happened with MW:R. Supply Drops, awful melee weapons and horrific camos killed that game and further tarished the brand.
A few artwork related pics were 'leaked' that were pounced on by the YouTube COD Cocksuckers regular as clockwork and many sources close to the franchise seem to think its legit to the extent they are covering it unlike some of the old user created hoaxes where you'd have someone say they got Modern Warfare 4 early, show the unboxing whilst filming it with a potato but then don't show any 'gameplay' as it's all fake. This has more credibility about it it would appear and its usually this time of the year the Activision's infamous 'leaks' start in the hope of people getting on the hype train.
Activision probably missed out on an easy billion bucks not releasing the original on PC. Although it probably wouldn't have done very well compared with other games; it still would have sold alot and for many users; they would have chosen that version as PC is a perfect fit for a game like this.
Fun and extremely polished game but requires a lot of hours of master. Success depends on your own ability of being able to play a variety of characters with lots of differing functions and abilities. You will need to learn every character and everything they do to get the most out of the game and that is by no means an easy task even with tens of hours of play. No matter how good you become; you will still be relying on your team and that can be very hit and miss.
This game will definitely be around for the next decade and getting into it as soon as possible is highly recommended but to get the most out of it; you'll need to do a lot of homework and be very patient and forgiving.
Loved the original and it is such an iconic game. Probably completed it ten times in total. I've loosely followed the Shenmue 3 kickstarter campaign and glad it's making a comeback but I'm not sure how its original elements will stand up to todays games especially if QTE's are going to be prominent. A great story and setting is what will make it thrive though.

Saw a three hour stream yesterday and I wasn't impressed at all. Hope this is simply a case of a game getting off to a slow start but it is a bit concerning.
It's only March and we've had Resident Evil 7, Nioh, Horizon Zero Dawn and Nier Automata so far plus Mass Effect Andromeda and Prey are coming up.
All I can say is thank god Ghost Recon Wildlands was a bag of average turd.
This is actually the first remastered title in videogame history to re-charge for DLC. All games/packages of this nature usually consist of the 'Complete, Gold or GOTY' edition with all DLC included in the core product. Seeing Activision charge for material that costs $5 more than what it did a decade ago plus the fact the game is dead anyway is rather cringeworthy of them. With the first DLC being dished out for free partly to mitigate the hate for supply drops; people could have been forgiven for expecting some consistency in the content being free.
The last Bioware game was utter shite and it even broke my PS4 but I hope this turns out to be as good as the other ME games. I'll wait for reviews and if it's good; I may even get my console fixed to play it!
Barcelona 6-1 PSG! The biggest comeback in CL history and probably the best ever seen in football.
3-0 up on the night being 4-0 down on aggregate from the first leg then PSG score with 28 minutes left meaning they needed another 3 goals and with 88 minutes on the clock; Barcelona scored 3 to turn it around. That's almost as big as winning the whole thing and will be just as memorable. Probably give Enrique a new contract now lol!
PSG though - that's such a damaging defeat and I dunno how you can recover from something like that. It was their big chance this year too and they bottled it in shambolic fashion.
Thankfully any issues with this means you can take the unit back to the retailer and get a refund/exchange no questions asked
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-03-07-nintendo-switch-dead-pixels-normal-not-a-defect
''UK purchasers should keep in mind their legal rights to return goods to the retailers they bought them from - regardless of the manufacturer's policy''
Dead pixels can be common in LCD units but at the end of the day is a manufacturer defect and in most to all cases; the consumer is eligible for a replacement or refund within a 7-14 day period in most countries.
I added this to my wishlist as it looks decent and could probably grab and maintain a decent population. H1Z1 KOTK was riddled with problems and still is an unfinished mess and games like The Culling died. Even Ark Survival of the Fittest has struggled despite the main game being a huge success so we definitely need a solid battle royale experience and this could be the best we're going to get.
The game is on the Wii U I realised the other day and according to reviews; there is virtually no difference between that version and the Switch so I'll probably pick up a pre-owned Wii U, a pre-owned Zelda and play it that way and save a couple hundred notes in the process.
