  1. Grab a cheap 4K TV - 32 inch ones are reasonably priced now. If you sit reletively close to it; you could also think about getting a curved one for that extra immersion. If you then decide to upgrade to a PS4PRO down the line; you'll be fully kitted out
  2. Funny how headquarters is being fixed as a 'priority' but other more pressing technical issues have been put on the backburner/ignored since launch. They want the HQ up simply because of the paid $upply drops coming into the game and Activision are already a week behind in implementing this because of the issues associated with the servers. Sledgehammer are also one of the most ignorant, deluded and full of shit developers in gaming so I can see many problems never being rectified. They were super fast to acknowledge and fix crucial issues and work with the community during the beta phase but now they have people's money and paid supply drops are coming in; nothing else matters. They persistently ignore paying customers on social media but as soon as one of the Activsion paid cocksuckers starts praising them with scripted drivel; they are quick to respond to that. I really wanted to give SHG another chance after their disgraceful antics on Advanced Warfare but once again they are just behaving like arseholes and I can see Activision putting the final nail in the coffin and the game falling to pieces the same way Modern Warfare Remastered did last year. That game died after 1 month and that was just down to supply drops. WW2 has far bigger issues and supply drops haven't hit yet. I uninstalled this on Sunday and whilst I did enjoy some of my time along with the campaign; it's sad to see both Sledgehammer and Activision shit on their product and the community worse than ever.
  3. Called this two weeks ago and it was inevitable. These will no doubt have stat-based variants to entice people to buy supply drops rather than slowly earn them and it wouldn't surprise me if Activision also inject their new patent into the mix with matchmaking manipulations. People that stop playing the game wont impact Activision revenues because they already have the users money and any losses on DLC from those departing players is mitigated by the far more lucrative purchases of Supply Drops from the remaining die-hard ones left playing the game. This practice has been going on since Advanced Warfare and it's only going to get worse in the franchise as the years go on and Activision's new patent intentions proves this.
  4. HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-42054350
  5. I'd take a stab at EA wanting to maximise the Star Wars licence so they offered to fund Titanfall 3 on the basis that Respawn also make a Star Wars game which will likely be far more lucrative. There is absolutely no way that EA bought the entire Respawn studio for just the Titanfall brand. EA weren't even willing to fund the original so Microsoft had to chime in the dosh to get it finished and Titanfall 2 peformed poorly although that was down to many factors mostly to do with EA and their scheduling. I definitely think EA are using Respawn to make this new game and they used TF3 as the sweetner to complete the deal. I don't think any other studio would have been willing to fund a new Titanfall with its underwhelming performance and the studios reluctance to explore other types of games. It's probably a deal everyone is happy with but it could do more harm than good in terms of the studio biting off more than they can chew. EA wouldn't care because they know they can make a solid return from just the Star Wars game alone which will likely pay for Titanfall 3 and more.
  6. Deals have already started at some retailers and.. I've not been a big spender on Black Friday previous but this year I may have a gander. What's everyone thinking of getting this year?
  7. Only 9 core maps is beginning to take its toll especially when a couple are already ones I dislike (Gustav and the ship) The likes of MW2 launched with something like 16 maps and WW2 has the smallest selection by far out of all the COD games. Although there is 3 war maps; those are only built for that mode so the core selection is very limited. It makes me wonder about DLC too - I can see there being 3 core maps, 1 war and one zombies which wouldn't be ideal if you're just into regular multiplayer modes and don't play zombies or war. I would have thought WW2 would have at least 12/13 maps plus 3 war ones. Activision have already leaked the first DLC in Jan and map images were found in the encryted files of the gold build which suggests at least 3 maps (Paris, Prague and another) were removed/withheld prior to launch. I do like most of the maps but the total count is very disappointing.
  8. I don't think 5 million people expected the dedicated servers to be taken down and replaced with P2P because of the overwhelming problems seen worldwide with them. This is an unacceptable situation regardless of whether someone is directly affected or not because of the affect it can have on the community as a whole. Your experience is certainly not refective of that worldwide. A bit of 'lag' here and there can be expected but that's not the case for many with this game and that's not what users deserve from a billion-dollar franchise in 2017. This game has been executed in shambolic fashion - the engine is ancient, the hybrid servers are dogshit, the netcode is horrendous and the amount of bugs s are ridiculous. It's embarrassing really. If people haven't seen the issues first hand or haven't read anything Sledgehammer has said then that's fair enough but do not underestimate how tragic this game is in its current state. This video pretty much sums up what it's like for a lot of people every single game
  9. Emirates Stadium has been added
  10. In theory, dedicated servers should make a difference if the matchmaking was connection-based but with it being down to skill; things like lag can still be an issue as you can be on a server with users dotted around the world and then the weakest connection is then compensated against. The only benefit having dedi's over P2P is not relying on one sole connection and suffering migrations if the host is unreliable and disconnects. If the servers were pure connection-based or you could choose a locale to play in; peoples experiences would be great, consistent and fair.
  11. Unfortunately that hasn't been the same experience for everyone which is why they took down all their entire global dedicated server structure which included the HQ.
  12. I can see where Sledgehammer have dedicated most of their resources - pistol grips you can't even see when holding the gun! There must be hundreds. These have definitely been created to sink the RNG chance of higher tier items.
  13. They are cock teases in the tournaments but always come back home as cun*s.
  14. Funny how games like MW2 ran flawlessly on P2P with over 1.5m online at any given time on an old ID Tech engine! The damning problem with this game, Call of Duty and Sledgehammer as a whole now is that Skill-based matchmaking has taken priority over connection-based matchmaking with artifical lag compensation working to scale back users connections through fabricated means so they are on par with the weakest one in the lobby. In the eyes of Activision; this is supposed to make things a fair experience especially if everyone in the lobby is on the same skillset. This comes at the expense of connection which is totally illogical and unheard of for a multiplayer game. I'd rather have connection-led P2P matchmaking with a host as at least it is just one user having an advantage against 11 other suitably connected users within a reasonable locale. At least the end-user was responsible for their internet quality and you could trust the matchmaking to put you in a lobby which was approrpriate within a sensible geographical location. Host advantage wasn't ideal but it's best to have just one player in this case rather than all 12 playing at a disadvantage. Now were are lumbered with shitty hybrid dedicated servers where you may end up facing off in Europe against similiarly skilled players from Mexico and the Middle East because that's how Activision wants it for 'competitive purposes' but your true internet connection gets obliterated to compensate the difference in distance and the other users internet quality meaning your experience along with everyone elses in the lobby is ruined. 'New Engine' in COD lingo just means a modified version of the last. The base engine it uses goes back to 1998 too. The engine is definitely clapped out but that's more to deflect away from their shitty ignorant matchmaking practices. This is definitely the worst lauch for a COD game and aside from the connection woes; there is so many other bugs and fundamental flaws. Rumours are also surfacing that they started working on Advanced Warfare 2 before Activision told them to switch projects and after Infinite Warfare released last year badly unfinished; I think WW2 is rushed and incomplete by a country mile. It's a great game but the execution is horrendous.
  15. Ah I forgot that existed Really need to have a look at that sometime!
  16. Minecraft?
  17. EA have buckled and dropped the requirement by a whopping 75% http://uk.ign.com/articles/2017/11/13/ea-to-reduce-star-wars-battlefront-2-hero-costs-by-75-percent

    HQ

Definitely a wasted feature and the scale of it is pretty big but the available activities and purpose is so bare and largely pointless. I think it was probably more than an Activision decision to have it more than an outright copy of Destiny but both are essentially the same - spaceious and wasteful in its execution. If they actually put some care and attention into it; they could create a proper social space with casual activities and mini-games or someting but it just seems as if its a burden on servers in its current state. Seems rather half-arsed unlike the rest of the game which has had some considerable effort despite numerous issues. HQ feels rushed and if it is brought back for future games I do hope the devs expand and are more creative with the feature.

    HQ

Complete waste of bandwith and servers for me. Supply drops can be opened in the root menus and contracts can also be purchased in there too. The only reason to go into the HQ as of now is to prestige a division and to listen to mic spammers. I don't think it's needed at all and it's very threadbare as it is. It's definitely been created for supply drop opening purposes but the franchise survived all this time without it and I'd happy see it get taken out the game.
  20. I didn't but that would have been interesting to see. I only watch PUBG highlights mostly from DrD as I don't think I could tolerate watching an entire match - I'd either watch something else or actually play PUBG instead!
  21. A good read. Check out the whole Reddit thread - this comment from EA alone got 157,000 downvotes
  22. Drift0r covers some of his issues here. I don't think many have had it this bad but it's safe to say that this game is riddled with a variety of issues that has affected the majority in different ways. Nice to see a CoD Cakesocker being honest rather than dockriding the developers clocks Statement from Sledegehammer https://community.activision.com/t5/Sledgehammer-Games/Call-of-Duty-WWII-Update-on-Issues/ba-p/10490379
