  1. I still can't decide whether maps within the map are inspired or just plain lazy!
  2. You would've thought they would have opened the beta up to all as a proper stress test and an advertisement to the game but it seems aside from the PC version, the beta is closed to pre-orders on the PS4 and XB1
  3. Played a couple of matches already and I am incredibly surprised at this game; it's even worse than what I was expecting and that's bearing in mind my expectations were already minimal as it is. The whole game just feels off. There are so many bad game design decisions that it just doesn't work unless every player in each of their respective squads is in perfect sync. Medics are redundant, respawning takes an age and the ammo count means you are seeking replenishment every 10 seconds. The non-existent spotting system makes enemies difficult to see so there's no point in scouting out positions now. Both matches I played on each map also felt rather bland and unspectacular too. The whole game needs an entire rework and even that might not be enough to salvage it. On a positive note, it's £50 saved!
  4. Anyone sick to death of Nuketown look away now
  5. The open looks jaw-dropping at times and the mechanics look pretty fluid. I'm not a Spider-Man fan and I never buy single player games on release for full price but this game has got me interested.
  6. He raises an interesting point around the 4.25 mark - every match I've watched particularly on Rotterdam feels rather quiet for a 64 player battle. I saw a match yesterday where I thought it was an near-empty server because the guy didn't run into an enemy for about 5 minutes but when he put the scoreboard up, it was a full lobby! This guy raises some pretty good points too:
  7. Some detailed info on Blackout emerging https://charlieintel.com/2018/09/04/vonderhaar-reveals-new-blackout-info-in-rapid-fire-interview-with-gameinformer/
  8. I probably played more of Spec Ops than I have of any of the COD games in this generation of releases! So much fun doing all the missions, then trying to get a better time and then trying to beat IW's record times. Even Wardriving on regular was hard as fuck!
  9. Don't worry Dave, free does mean free here and not one of those other EA deals where it's ''pay us £40 and we'll then give you stuff for free''.
  10. Is Frankie on PC still floating around?
  11. Nah, you have to pay - a brief article here https://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/indyventure/mobike-china-bike-sharing-scheme-london-launch-boris-bicycles-no-docking-stations-santander-a7868916.html explains how they work.
  12. Have to grab this even if I don't ever play it again
  13. They decided to focus on their current gen of games plus the PS Now streaming service. Backwards compatibility was originally seen as a bit desperate from Microsoft but it's actually turned into a bloody good feature and much better than the half-baked streaming service Sony offers. I think that costs £13 a month or £85 for the year and that gives you access to a selection of games to stream but it's another whopping cost on top of PSN plus you don't ever own the games/licence. You can also rent the games individually as opposed to subscribing but the prices for that are laughably pricey.
  14. This is a good laugh
  15. Anyone getting this Friday? Looks exceptional. Here's some leaked retail copy footage - the game looks epic even with shit quality recording
  16. Played 85 minutes with 10 men too!
  17. Performance of the day goes to Sheffield United twatting Aston Villa 4-1! Bolton did well coming from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 away at Preston. Reading still wank.
  18. 1-1 in the end which I would've taken beforehand under the circumstances but apparently we dominated the game from start to finish and should've won so I have mixed emotions really.
  19. What's the best card game out at the minute? Apart from real card games like online poker and a casual game like Slay the Spire, I have swerved all the popular ones cropping up. Artifact is out in a couple of months and that looks like it will be popular for obvious r£ason$ but what do you think is worth looking at that is easy to get into, fun to play and not boring? Here's some Artifact gameplay - looks bloody complex but quite stylish
  20. I can understand Sony's position but I can also see their restrictive stance pissing off a lot of developers/publishers especially on games that are free without exclusivity ties. They are putting a massive stumbling block on growth of cross-platform play despite holding a huge market share to bolster this feature. Personally I think they probably have concerns that their online service may not be up to the standard when going toe to toe with XBL despite costing the same. PSN back in the PS3 days had its problems but they always had the excuse that it was a free service but now putting it in the limelight with cross-compatibility against Microsoft could expose consistency and quality frailties and that could impact future development of AAA games in the future. I don't think it's the end of the world though and playing against 'rival' console users could just add to more petty fanboy squabbles and make communities more toxic. It just makes Sony look a bit dismissive, greedy and questions whether they have the confidence in their architecture and network.
  21. If you win, you go above them😀
  22. Sunderland v Oxford tomorrow and a crowd of 30,000+ expected which is mental for League One. What's weird is that Sunderland are now ran by a consortium of Oxford United fans too! Last time we played them was at the Stadium of Light 20 years ago and they grabbed a lucky 7-0 victory😎
  23. PS4 and Xbox One version now available.
  24. Arsenal have Sporting, Carrier Bag and Vorskala in the Euro B-tec tournament.
