    FIFA 19

It does look like they done a lot of work on the back-end nitty-gritty elements which is good. Can't fault the depth in that respect. Just wish there were more sweeping improvements to the general gameplay, mechanics and physics because a lot are overlooked due to the dated nature of the game as seen.
  2. Not much.....yet! I think quite a few are still on the fence even after experiencing the betas. Still hard to gauge whether it's a great package worth the £50/$60+ or a desperate last throw of the dice for the franchise to remain in the big time. I do think it'll be a popular game though and whilst it may not reach the heights of what the series once was, it'll still offer something for everybody. It could also grow more popular after launch depending on its initial reception. It's gonna be an interesting few weeks up until launch so I'm sure we'll be keeping our eyes on it.

    FIFA 19

I tried the FIFA 19 demo yesterday and it's more of a kid-friendly version of football. The gameplay is basic, the matches are frantic and you can score some crazy goals. The ball physics look very unnatural and the animations are wonky as hell. There is literally no tactics or midfield battle - you can go from defence to attack in 3 seconds because of the fast pace nature of the game and the very simple mechanics which are heavily assisted. It's a step back from even FIFA 12 and barely any different from last years game despite some claimed radical changes.
  5. This rarely happens sadly - most of the time the money is going straight to AAA publishers shareholders. Thankfully exclusivity like this is becoming less attractive because it's more costly for the game to piss the community off and miss out of revenue from sales rather than the lump sum offered for the timed exclusive rights.
  6. Shame really as they've made a few good ones and The Walking Dead was a very unique game a few years ago. I've also enjoyed their Batman titles, The Wolf Among Us and Tales From Borderlands. Didn't see this coming https://uk.ign.com/articles/2018/09/21/telltale-games-reportedly-shutting-down
  7. DLC maps and other crap instead of being a 30 day exclusive on PS4 has now been cut to just 7 days. This is much fairer on gamers - 30 days was just too much on an already stale format.

    Hmmm

This could be the end of BioWare. Good riddance to a once-fine developer. If this game doesn't flop itself; The Division 2 will kill it a month later.
  9. Treyarch games have terrible netcode at the best of times but Blackout is certainly a sight to behold. I know they've copied everything from other games in BO4 but you wouldn't expect them to swipe the negative aspects that plague other games too! I guess players will be hoping for a HC Blackout playlist😎
  10. I use it just for express driver updates and for things like Ansel and recording. I would certainly remove the thing if it was for auto-optimization only though.
  11. Crank it all up to max Phil and enjoy the ride! Don't ever rely on the GeForce Experience as that takes the fun out of optimising games plus it's woefully wrong in many cases - It had me set to high on The Division with my 770 but on my 1070 it suggested medium....
  12. Played a handful of games so far - best ones were 4th twice and second place. Visually the game looks very good maxed out on PC - some bland textures but overall the colour is good as is the terrain and locations. The functionality of the interface is great thankfully and the game does work well as a BR formatted title. I just don't know if this is the type of game I'd want to play over and over and put a lot of time into. The core MP does not impress me at all at BR may just divide and deplete what is already a flaky population. Also with the usual COD BS of hitmarkers, bad bullet detection and connection problems; that can be tolerated in team deathmatch but in Battle Royale it's fatal and game breaking. Treyarch games can piss me off at the best of times even if I'm going 25-5 so to die in one life because of bullshit may just frustrate me too much to really enjoy the experience. As the guns are all fictional and I don't know anything about the perks; I have a lot to learn - I was even using a shotgun earlier thinking it was a burst Assault Rifle!
  13. Here's some random PC footage
  14. Just watched a couple of stream highlights for the PC beta and it looks like they’ve done an amazing job. Visuals look clean, rendering is on point and the framerate locked at 90 makes the game look smooth as silk. Most noticeable difference is the interface - it looks slick and functions can be executed near-instantly rather than faffing around holding and navigating with buttons. They really need to rework the console UI into grid form at the very least with one-click actions. Look forward to sampling the open beta tomorrow - it’s available to pre-load on Battlenet right now for those interested.
  15. BR has been around for over 5 years. It may be 'new' to some users but in terms of the wider market, it's a very saturated genre and Blackout is coming in almost at last-knockings. I wasn't expecting much as this game mode has only been in development since this year (cough cough cash grab cough) but even so, I would've expected a bit more in terms of personality, functionality and features considering the budget on these games and the omission of a campaign. PUBG is supposed to replicate more realistic elements - more ARMA than COD/Halo. The mechanics work very well with a keyboard and mouse as they were originally optimised for. COD is arcade, heavily aim-assisted and bullet physics along with recoil is absolutely minimal. Many users who enjoy the challenge that the likes of PUBG brings may not find Blackout very satisfying with more simplified aspects in place.
  16. Forza Horizon 4 demo is now available for download on XB1 and through the shitty Windows Store😎
  17. This is a good review from Brian
  18. And you'll be playing the beta for another 3 months😏
  19. Is there actually anything new and original or is Blackout just a ripoff of all the other BR games? Can't believe how cumbersome the menu is along with picking things up. People are saying it's best not to loot bodies and just move on.
  20. Insurgency Sandstorm has been delayed until December 12th. Sorry Phil!
  21. A new form of stream sniping eh? https://www.pcgamer.com/dr-disrespect-ends-stream-after-a-gunshot-hits-his-house/
