That might be the compressed install size overall - download was just shy of 8.9gb for me and is about 11gb on Xbox One. The installs tend to be half the amount of the download post-compression so it would sound about right.

I tried Control earlier and if you want to spend the entire match getting spawn trapped by sweaty teams, that's the mode you want. It's like Treyarch put so much thought into the concept of the mode, they forgot about the fucking basics of a multiplayer experience. It's the same the demolition trapping back in the original Black Ops from 2010. And they want to make this mode an eSport for god sake lol! I saw a couple of FFA videos earlier and the spawn trapping in that is horrendous - even on a large map like Arsenal, players were spawning behind, in front and next to other players.

Strange cos mine was 8.9gb. Is yours 5gb downloaded and compressed or was that the total download size your end?

There are signature weapons in the operation that can be unlocked (by the sweatiest of the sweaties) but as long as they don't have bolstered stats; it should be fine. Don't trust Activision though.

Currently 'Mostly Negative' on Steam. Ouch! That could be fatal as games of this nature who don't get off to a solid start usually end up dead very quickly. Doesn't help that it's sandwiched in between BO4 and BF5. Let us know how you get on with it anyway Phil and don't forget about the Steam refund policy😏

No patch notes available yet but it's a whopping 8.9gb and is expected to include the Black Market plus general fixes. Although it doesn't appear supply drops will be in the game this year due to future legal issues; I'm sure the black market will have fuckloads of revenue opportunities for Acitvision - hopefully it wont bugger up the game with dumb emotes, outfits, camos and other lame shit that discredits the once-serious brand. We'll get more info once the full notes are disclosed.

PS4 Disc = 99gb PS4 Download = 149gb Xbox One = 99gb There are reports that the console installs vary between 88gb up to 107gb but it's still not entirely clear. A base install for the standard edition is likely to be pushing 100gb regardless. RIP to anyone digitally downloading the game for a whopping 149gb!

I try and keep my media subscriptions down to a minimum and would rather own the licence or the game rather than having access dependent upon an active subscription. Not a fan in general of services either by subscription or via streaming and I wouldn't want gaming to be dictated by these in the future. I am all for competition in the industry but I am already sick of things like multiple launchers and the last thing I want is subscriptions to manage on top. -
Been waiting 9 years for this game and now there's only 9 days to go!! Pre-loading also begins tomorrow although I shall be getting a physical copy of this. Just hope it arrives on release day. I take it most people will be getting it on here? It's been a fairly quiet year for games and there's not be much quality either but I'm expecting this to be another Rockstar genre-defining game and it certainly looks amazing looking at the gameplay trailers. The launch trailer is also expected to release tomorrow (Thurs 18th) also.

I'm already seeing sweaty prestige 5 players now. That's what 18 hours a day and G-Fuel with Doritos can do I suppose. I'm not even sure I'm that invested in the game to even prestige but we'll see in a week or two. Definitely ain't as interesting as it used to be on the likes of MW2 and Black Ops. I honestly cannot believe some people manage to reach master prestige level 1000 on the latest COD games.

I feel multiplayer has getting worse for me last couple of sessions - either I'm now being fucked by the SBMM which means I'm being matched with sweaty tryhards because of a good recent run of matches, or people are beginning to learn the game better and unlock more powerful shit that you get at the later levels which drastically affects matches. As usual, my teams are usually utter shite - I lost a few matches earlier despite comfortably finishing top each time only to see a couple of twats at the bottom of the scoreboard doing nothing but feeding the opposition easy kills. I seriously hope Treyarch haven't flipped that skill-based matchmaking switch and I'm just on a miserable run of facing tryhards and being paired with trash. May have a breather and stick with Blackout for a bit - had a 5 kill solo game the other day and was unlucky not to win and surprisingly, it feels more relaxed that the frantic nonsense you get in core MP.

Think Dan is right here - you essentially have 389 'EKIA' with 200 of them being 100% damage dealt kills of only your doing. That leaves 189 assists or clean up kills where you fired the final bullet or contributed damage in which a team mate finished the job.

The weapon unlocks have huge gaps too so if you're primarily a AR/SMG user which most people are; there's only really 4 weapons available until level 25. There's also not much available in terms of perks and equipment either. Leveling weapons for key attachments can also take a bit of time so high ranked players are likely to be heavily kitted out with access to weapons, attachements, perks and equipment that lower ones don't have access to.

Haven't tried them all yet but I quite like Nomad as you get a tripwire to place which can be fun and really piss off the opposition as you can place it near their spawn hidden and it remains even after you've died. The main ability is an annoying dog to add insult to injury! The tripwire does take me back to the old claymore placement MW2 days.

This is definitely a decent Call of Duty game. It's early days but I can already tell this is far better than any of the COD's we've had on the current gen. It may look like a BOTG version of BO3 with gameplay changes ripped from all other popular titles of late but actually it works fairly well despite some overly-chaotic moments and general frustrations. Definitely a much better game than it would appear in video and on paper. Leading up to release and even during the beta it felt like the game was a desperate alternate BO3 with stacks of needless changes and excess fluff but all in all; everything functions pretty good and has clearly been well thought out. Specialists are also done very well - not OP like BO3 but they offer enjoyment and tactical opportunities that benefit you and the team. If you can get through the brutal slow leveling early on and the fact higher ranked players will be far better equipped; it can be a great experience. It's not perfect by any means but the package is a whole represents decent value even without a campaign.
