  1. Didn't realise Ryan Babel was still playing - I remember that name from when Liverpool twatted Real Madrid 4-0 almost a decade ago. Netherlands really scraping the barrel it would seem - that's the equivalent of now England calling up Shaun Wright Phillips or something! Liechtenstein won - fair do's it was only against Gibraltar but that means they are edging closer to the quality of teams like St Lucia and Scotland.
  2. It ain't much better https://www.google.com/maps/@51.7853454,-1.2646813,3a,75y,85.92h,60.37t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sDt3c3zA3MDBwG3x369btEw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 with cracks galore and the bits that do look smoother down the road are laid with tyre-shredding tarmac. It's noisy as helll on that surface too. This is also coming from a council who's ethos is practically 'we'll only repair potholes until someone is killed because of it'😎

  4. LOL!
  5. That was my primary concern when BF5 was announced as a WWII game coming straight from WW1. In all honesty, the game is so generic, if you added lasers it could even easily pass as Battlefront 2 DLC. The only thing that drastically differentiates itself from BF1 is the radical changes which are all for the worst it seems - I haven't seen one person satisfied with the new revive, respawn or ammo alterations in place. This game doesn't seem to have the same immersion you had in Battlefield 1 either - matches often feel soulless, probably because half the lobby is stuck waiting to respawn and central things to the franchise like air and land vehicle combat is almost redundant on the two beta maps.
  6. Played a few hours so far and it's great fun! Takes a bit of time to get to grips with the controls but once you get past the tutorial parts of the game it really opens up into an incredible experience. The scale and attention to detail of New York is just phenomenal and the mechanics are solid. The game does suffer from the usual open world bad habits with some annoying collectibles and repetitive side missions which act as filler but the main portion of the game is very entertaining.
  7. It's a good deal https://www.humblebundle.com/monthly even if you just opt in for the month
  8. Didn't Denmark have to field a pub team because their real players are on strike? They only lost 3-0 too which weren't too shabby. This tournament is nothing more than glorified friendlies but it's been created just to make the sports governing bodies more money. I hate international; breaks at the best of times but these are gonna be just as bad even with a more competitive element to them.
  9. LOL our council is still 60 years behind with the times and bathing in its own ignorance as usual! Funny how a fair few houses in the 'lower' class area of Cuttleslowe cost over £300,000 now but they wont surface the road because apparently it's still seen a 'scummy'... Iconic picture showing the posh houses end and the council houses begin though
  10. Another thing that pisses me off is explosives that do fuck all damage - grenade that lands at someones feet and they only lose 13 health then you get shot in the shin by a pistol at range and you're at deaths door. It's like they've mega-nerfed anything powerful but forgot things like explosives are supposed to be just that.
  11. Gameplay trailer Could be entertaining. I'd rather have a mega TDM match on this map than battle royale though.
  12. Definitely give it a go Phil - it handles really well, looks remarkable and the performance is solid. It's just the design itself that is beyond baffling. If they dropped the revive all system, added the classic spotting, decreased the respawn wait and buffed the scout class then we'd probably be talking a half decent game. DICE really need to pull their finger out in the extra month EA have given them and I hope they take a lot of feedback on board now that this demo phase has become a proper beta thanks to the delay.
  13. I still can't decide whether maps within the map are inspired or just plain lazy!
  14. You would've thought they would have opened the beta up to all as a proper stress test and an advertisement to the game but it seems aside from the PC version, the beta is closed to pre-orders on the PS4 and XB1
  15. Played a couple of matches already and I am incredibly surprised at this game; it's even worse than what I was expecting and that's bearing in mind my expectations were already minimal as it is. The whole game just feels off. There are so many bad game design decisions that it just doesn't work unless every player in each of their respective squads is in perfect sync. Medics are redundant, respawning takes an age and the ammo count means you are seeking replenishment every 10 seconds. The non-existent spotting system makes enemies difficult to see so there's no point in scouting out positions now. Both matches I played on each map also felt rather bland and unspectacular too. The whole game needs an entire rework and even that might not be enough to salvage it. On a positive note, it's £50 saved!
  16. Anyone sick to death of Nuketown look away now
  17. The open looks jaw-dropping at times and the mechanics look pretty fluid. I'm not a Spider-Man fan and I never buy single player games on release for full price but this game has got me interested.
  18. He raises an interesting point around the 4.25 mark - every match I've watched particularly on Rotterdam feels rather quiet for a 64 player battle. I saw a match yesterday where I thought it was an near-empty server because the guy didn't run into an enemy for about 5 minutes but when he put the scoreboard up, it was a full lobby! This guy raises some pretty good points too:
  19. Some detailed info on Blackout emerging https://charlieintel.com/2018/09/04/vonderhaar-reveals-new-blackout-info-in-rapid-fire-interview-with-gameinformer/
  20. I probably played more of Spec Ops than I have of any of the COD games in this generation of releases! So much fun doing all the missions, then trying to get a better time and then trying to beat IW's record times. Even Wardriving on regular was hard as fuck!
  21. Don't worry Dave, free does mean free here and not one of those other EA deals where it's ''pay us £40 and we'll then give you stuff for free''.
  22. Is Frankie on PC still floating around?
  23. Nah, you have to pay - a brief article here https://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/indyventure/mobike-china-bike-sharing-scheme-london-launch-boris-bicycles-no-docking-stations-santander-a7868916.html explains how they work.
