    Microsoft throwing the money around again. Their stance is, if we can't make exclusives we'll just buy them instead. Had they invested in studios in the last gen instead of relying on Halo, Gears of War and Call of Duty time exclusivity, they wouldn't have to be running round trying to snap up any affordable studio that isn't owned or linked to Sony. It would be a good move for them but a bad move for gaming.

    Yep! They spend months hyping up games and receiving money for paid priority placements plastered all over the site and then give these games medicore review scores contradicting all the publicity the said games received previous. I remember when the videogame media was in the gamers interest but IGN are only in it for the money cutting deals with publishers and grabbing clicks. Back in the day, if a game was shit, it got no publicity no matter how big the brand or who the publisher was. Now whoever pays them with whatever product; it gets publicity guaranteed. Glad they got held to account for this review debacle though - it's only a small consolation but it fuels distrust to the IGNorant people who still swear by them.

    I've heard and read a lot of feedback that say the classic/traditional COD modes don't work very well with the maps and general gameplay design. Matches certainly don't look like they flow very well either from the footage I've watched - spawn, die, spawn, die, spawn, die etc... and the maps have a very limited and linear design. One video I watched said that AR's a absolutely useless as is ranged combat as you're shooting a whole clip into someone trying to land bullets against someone and all they do is cover-heal and then it's back to square one. SMG's seem to be the only viable gun aside from close-ranged sniping (quickscoping) because of poor sight lines, high health compounded with dodgy bullet detection. Double kills seem to be rare unless you camp and pray you don't have someone spawn behind you.

    Games 2 and 3 require a download no matter what. Whether that will be the full games or some 'update' as Activision call it is pretty irrelevant with that. Really don't know what Activision's excuse is but they've swerved all pressing questions on this. It's amazing that games like Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted can cram their respective games on no problem - my guess is they wanted the game boxed and shipped without it actually being finished.

    I'm still on my iPhone 5s but it's on its 3rd battery. I'm gonna move away from Apple once this one bites the dust. Don't really need a phone that has X amount of extras - as long as I can call/text and use a select few apps I'm happy.

These cursors for controllers are not trendy and their justification is pure cringe. I hope bunny hopping isn't going to grow into a major problem. I fucking hate this shit in battle royale games and other FPS titles - it looks ridiculous and it can botch the netcode meaning it's harder to play against. I'll be watching developments in the armour element closely but I get the feeling Treyarch aren't keen on budging - people at E3 were warning about this and although were 'only 24 hours into the beta'; it's not going to get any better.

    I don't get how they had it so perfect on the 360 especially Xbox Live only to fuck it up on the Xbox One. The ludicrous thing is that the features it offers is no different to what the 360 had but just like Windows 10; instead of having a cleaner, condensed and more user-friendly interface; they've made it needlessly complicated and added so much additional fluff it's unbelievable. Seems technology companies want to use multi-layered menus and make them as unintuitive as possible to give them impression that they are deep and riddled with material. XB1 controller is definitely way ahead of the DS4 in every respect.

    Another thing I noticed is that you call killstreaks in with triangle/Y now. Small things like that can lead to big irritations.
