    Destiny 3

In development apparently https://www.pcgamer.com/rumor-destiny-3-is-in-the-works-will-be-more-hardcore-than-destiny-2/ I'll probably buy it or get it for free a year after release and then just buy the DLC to get the complete package😎
  2. Mercenary playlists are for non-parties so if you're playing on your own, you can join a playlist of other players also on their own meaning you likely wont get stomped on. These tend to be more relaxed playlists away from ones where even just 2 players dominate a lobby.
  3. Got my first Blackout win today! Nothing special with only 3 kills - I've got more and finished outside the top 50 before but I'll take the win regardless.
  4. You can jump shot in all FPS games but it's more prominent now that ever and Black Ops 4 has technical and performance issues which benefit this behaviour. With replenishable high health and 20hz servers, simply jumping can get you out of sticky spots as opposed to simply running or sliding and jump shooting with such a low hz rate can get you ahead of what your opponent sees on their screen which means easy kills. This video is what it's like even offline
  5. I cannot believe they haven't implemented a stamina system for jumping. It's bad enough marathon is on permanently let alone having users being able to bunnyhop around on top. This has become a very prominent annoyance in FPS games of late thanks largely to Fortnite and other BR games as it's a viable tactic to dodge bullets and screw up the predicted bullet pathing.
  6. Wow, even Driftor has surrendered to this BS
  7. People are beginning to know the game now and exploit things that are OP. Snipers are pretty much OHK and so is doing a jump shot with a shotgun. I've also been seeing these dual-wield pistol-type weapons being used heavily which look deadly as they have literally no recoil and easy mobility.
  8. I struggled with the ICR at first put picked it back up after maxing a couple of other weapons and it's a very good starting weapon that is worth using to rank up. The right attachments and a good sight make the difference. The MX9 and GKS are great SMG's you have access to early on too.
  9. That reads like a text message from 2006😏
  10. - Outdated engine - Cheap servers that aren't even fit for card games (see this thread) - Too many other variables (i.e high health, armour, trauma kits, general netcode/bad bullet detection, desync, lag etc... - Shit pussy arse community i.e prone grass campers, house sitters, door monitors, bush wankers. I haven't had any significant frame drops on PS4 but everything else sticks out like a sore thumb. It's another shitty Battle Royale that's been executed in shambolic fashion and this coming from an AAA publisher. I don't play Fornite but that F2P game is a prime example of how it should be done across the board from the technical side to the community engagement. We get lumbered with insulting horseshit servers and then fobbed off with bullshit excuses.
  11. I think it'll be a battle pass type thing or pure microtransactions. Supply Drops I think are done and dusted now because they are illegal in Belgium and under investigation in multiple countries with an expectation to be banned or heavily regulated. EA and Activision Blizzard are already under criminal investigation as it is for flouting the laws so to swerve litigation down the line and content restrictions on certain countries; I think they'll throw the towel in supply drops altogether. I think they'll focus on COD points being purchasable and then using that as in-game money to push stuff as a primary.
  12. Treyarch have released a full of shit statement that's about as bog-standard as you'd expect from this franchise. They're basically saying the population is the reason despite the game performing fine during the beta probably under far greater stress. They've not acknowledged the clear server downgrade from the beta and have given the usual generic improvement' lines as expected. Obviously this crafted statement was probably written under the supervision of Activision via a gun to the head and Treyarch are clearly not this technically simple minded or ignorant. The simple fix is to upgrade to common 60hz servers like all other FPS games run on and then we'll have a game where only balance matters in terms of a fair and quality experience. This is a good game and for it to be ruined so cheaply would be a travesty really. Here’s Treyarch’s response to the network situation: We’ve also noticed a lot of discussion around network performance over the past couple of days and wanted to take a moment to address this directly. We’re constantly working to optimize the game, and particularly network performance, to ensure the highest quality online experience for our players. For a game launch with as massive a population as ours hitting so many global servers at once, we configure our infrastructure to ensure game stability as the highest priority over all other factors. Now that we’re past the initial launch of the game, we are focusing on fine-tuning network performance around the globe, using the real-world data that we have collected. Over the course of the next two weeks, we will roll out several updates to our network setup that will continue to improve upon the experience of our players since launch. As we have always said, launch is just the beginning, and we’re committed to making Black Ops 4 the best-supported game we’ve ever delivered. This is a journey that will involve constant adjustments, improvements, and additions. We appreciate your continued support and patience – thank you!
  13. I had a couple of ridiculous games on Blackout last night - the first one I was killed by a player that wasn't even on my screen yet the killcam showed him virtually standing in front of me - there wasn't any corners either; it was in the wide open and he wasn't prone or anything. This is what 20hz servers does - you wouldn't even run a 16 table virtual poker game on such shitty servers let alone a full-blown FPS with close to 100 players. The next game was an embarrassment for both me and my opponent as he had the jump on me, spayed me with bullets, I was practically dead yet still managed to shoot a few bullets his way and in the end we killed each other. I have it on video and will upload it soon but another seriously bullshit situation on these servers. It's amazing how many solo BR players wont even play Blackout alone because it's a torrid and inconsistent spectacle to watch and it contains just as much bullshit as any other cheaply made BR game built on greed. Only a squad can mitigate all the problems here and make videos/streams a worthwhile watch. They were supposed to compete and beat the likes of PUBG and not fall into the same nonsense as that game. The multiplayer is more manageable as you have much more room for error and aren't bound to a single life but the bullshit is there and more and more users are taking advantage of it. I wonder if Activision will bother to give us proper servers instead of ones made for chatrooms or if they'll just give up with Red Dead 2 and Fortnite likely to dominate. The fact there is unlikely to be supply drops and that there is no clear significant future monetization; I just wonder if Activision will leave it as it is now they've received their bumper pay day on launch.
  14. Eight Thoughts is my online stepdad so I had no choice😎
  15. Typical Activision scumbags! No wonder everyone is bunny-hopping and jumping round corners now. Blackout is worst because you're having to compete with this against users with armour + 200 health trauma kits who are also jumping around. This game is turning into PUBG very quickly in shoddiness and the MP will really suffer once people start exploiting the shitty netcode.
  16. I shall be getting it at some stage but releasing it a week before RDR2 and a week after BO4 wasn't the smartest idea from Capcom. Although when I do get round to getting it, it should be half the price. Haven't played the series since the Dreamcast version but it's nice to see another solid release in the series.
  17. That might be the compressed install size overall - download was just shy of 8.9gb for me and is about 11gb on Xbox One. The installs tend to be half the amount of the download post-compression so it would sound about right.
  18. I tried Control earlier and if you want to spend the entire match getting spawn trapped by sweaty teams, that's the mode you want. It's like Treyarch put so much thought into the concept of the mode, they forgot about the fucking basics of a multiplayer experience. It's the same the demolition trapping back in the original Black Ops from 2010. And they want to make this mode an eSport for god sake lol! I saw a couple of FFA videos earlier and the spawn trapping in that is horrendous - even on a large map like Arsenal, players were spawning behind, in front and next to other players.
  19. Strange cos mine was 8.9gb. Is yours 5gb downloaded and compressed or was that the total download size your end?
  20. There are signature weapons in the operation that can be unlocked (by the sweatiest of the sweaties) but as long as they don't have bolstered stats; it should be fine. Don't trust Activision though.
  21. Currently 'Mostly Negative' on Steam. Ouch! That could be fatal as games of this nature who don't get off to a solid start usually end up dead very quickly. Doesn't help that it's sandwiched in between BO4 and BF5. Let us know how you get on with it anyway Phil and don't forget about the Steam refund policy😏
  22. No patch notes available yet but it's a whopping 8.9gb and is expected to include the Black Market plus general fixes. Although it doesn't appear supply drops will be in the game this year due to future legal issues; I'm sure the black market will have fuckloads of revenue opportunities for Acitvision - hopefully it wont bugger up the game with dumb emotes, outfits, camos and other lame shit that discredits the once-serious brand. We'll get more info once the full notes are disclosed.
  23. Starts later and runs until Monday.
