  1. Yep, it's happened - a new settings update introduces COD points which can be used to buy tiers in the event(s). I'm expecting P2W elements in future ones and more stifled progression systems so people are forced to pay up or grind like fuck to access the best or simply advantageous unlocks.
  2. Haven't got many to choose from and the PS4 is beginning to show its age but it's still a really gorgeous looking game
  3. It's basically a pathetic attempt at a battle pass format where you unlock lame shit in each tier you rank such as emotes, sprays and calling cards. The 'event' lasts 52 days but it's incredibly grindy (probably because COD points will eventually be used to buy progression) and terribly thought out. You can view your progress and see what you've unlocked and what you can get in the future but the whole thing seems a bit of a cheap and desperate mess. Thankfully you can pay no attention to it and it shouldn't impact your experience.
  4. Played one game of Blackout for the first time since the 60hz servers were implemented and it felt smoother but I got killed by someone rubberbanding so I quit and went to play a proper videogame in Red Dead Redemption 2.
  5. Here's the full game in one 5 and a half hour video😎
  6. Early reviews indicate a wonky experience that's only about 6 hours long. Not great for £40!
  7. This is quite a similar situation to what GTA V was on the old 360/PS3 gen where Rockstar came in at last-knockings and proved what was technically possible after many AAA publishers such as Activision, EA and Ubisoft were crying about hardware limitations. Although we've already seen what is possible with these consoles after The Witcher 3, Uncharted 4 and God of War; it's nice to see what quality developers with time on their hands can do especially when compared to the AAA franchise shit and annual releases plus terribly designed online service games. It's another solid middle finger to EA who said single player games were done with. Such a pity that with all the talent and money in this industry; still only a handful of developers/publishers can produce the goods to the standard gamers expect and deserve.
  8. Players have worked it out that you need basically 200 hours of playtime just to complete the First Strike event in BO4's battle pass format. That means to max out, you have to grind like fuck with just under 50 days or so remaining. There's no challenges for additional XP or to keep things interesting - it's a straight up grindfest. It's all set up so Activision can sell COD points so people can buy progress I bet. This will definitely mitigate the losses of supply drops. I don't think a lot will pay but I also don't think a lot will play either especially with such an unimaginative format and such unappealing rewards. Here's a video which outlines how it currently works after already being tweaked twice.
  9. Looks pretty tragic
  10. LMAO! 2018 and COD is still riddled with comedy exploits - this one allows you to stack the skulker perk. Looks hilarious though!
  11. Server ticket rate has been boosted to 64hz - too bad they've conveniently done this when a huge chunk of the population have stopped playing and gone to RDR2. I bet they gave us stacks of crappy cheap servers on launch to cope with the influx and when the population thinned out a bit, only then have they implemented the standard servers you'd expect in a MP game for who's currently left. Clearly Activision didn't want to commit annually to expensive servers if they were going to be empty after a couple of weeks but I hope they've got enough in play for when people return to the game down the line. Of course, people will be hailing Treyarch (Activison) for 'listening' to their fans and all that usual bollocks but it's clear this was attempt to screw people over by doing things on the cheap and when cornered about it; they partially salvage the situation but only when it's in their favour.
  12. The acoustic sensor is apparently a directional radar hack that is completely OP too. I haven't used it but I watched one guys video and he was using the radar all game just to locate enemies. It's horrible to see how dumbed-down COD has become and no wonder eSports don't take the brand seriously despite Activision wanting to make the games competitive. Aim assist should be disabled when jumping or a stamina system should be added not perks that enable it more.
  13. Battlefield Royale wont be in the game until March 2019. Such a waste of time this mode in a game like this. The delay will just add more negativity to the product if anything.
  14. Awful scenes https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-46006470
  15. He wants to get back into the game as a manager is the word on the grapevine but there's not going to many takers after his antics at Swindon where he forced the chairman to give him a job as director of football, then tried to steal the managers job by taking control and when they got relegated, he then denied he played any key role in first team affairs despite going from the stands to the touchline in his tenure and overruling their young manager. All that after his delusional antics at Villa where after saving them from relegation; the next season he aimed for Champions League but helped them go down to the Championship in the end. Arrogant twat really!
  16. No matter what happens, just be glad you swerved Tim Sherwood!
  17. Excellent so far! Admittedly the prologue part of the game is a bit slow as it's essentially a tutorial showcasing a lot of the mechanics designed as basic missions but once those are out of the way, the proper Rockstar-style ones come in with the usual humour and entertainment. The train robbery one is pretty much when the game starts properly. Graphics look amazing even on a ageing PS4 standard and the level of polish is phenomenal.
  18. I'm still waiting for the postman😎
  19. If it wasn't for that rag giving it 70% then it would be even higher too! Anything we get in terms of the online will just be an added bonus on top of the 60-70 hour campaign with over 100 story missions.
  20. Shop looks good! I remember the old main one - it used to get cramped and you'd always knock something off the hangers or get bummed by some old bloke trying to get past. I remember another one at an old disused petrol station but I take it that's long gone - it only used to do shirts and printing from what I remember.
  21. Here's an excellent review Just waiting for ACG which is surprisingly later than expected!
  22. Bit of a weird one for Ipswich because they were sitting comfortably mid-table for years and when they do try and make a positive change with a promising manager and a bit of money injected; they find themselves bottom. I think the league has also got much harder this year as well and when you see teams like Aston Villa sliding along with Stoke plus the amount of big teams that have been in League One last few years, it's a tough league to stay in unless you have parachute payments on tap or have a huge budget with a squad of quality and depth. Still very early days and much can change at either end of the table.
  23. Not a bad start
