  1. This looks visually stunning, with a story I would love to dig into. Since it's on Switch and @TurboR56Mini and I are travelling soon, I think I'm going to download it for our travel. Thanks for highlighting it!
  2. Hmm.. See, this is the type of game I would play on the Steam Deck lol.
  3. The gamer in me is a bit sad about the state of the industry, but I've been sad about it for a long while. The rest of me who has gone through almost 5 years of this to some degree while at a certain employer in different "frat boy industry", who spoke to the press under anonymity out of fear of retaliation (I was not the original leak who got the ball rolling), who commiserated with others as news broke out in the WSJ, NY Times, and industry-specific news, who lined up lawyers in case the lawsuits started to come in, who worried about potential career and livelihood consequences... The rest of me is sitting back with some popcorn to see it all burn down. 4. I finally was able to watch the trailer. This looks pretty interesting. To be honest, I never read the books or watched any of movies? TV shows? Whichever? I just could not get into them. I think a lot of the issue with the fantastic Sci-Fi stuff we all grew up with being translated to film has always been quite a feat to achieve. The audience for books is a different audience for live-action, as those who watch live-action do not generally have the patience for a story with all the rich details to unfold. Those of us who were avid comic readers are used to waiting for a story arc to unfold over time. Live-action-only audiences typically are not, which is why the budgets for such shows and movies never had the same budget as regular mainstream shows and movies. With Marvel creating a vast universe in the movies and coming back to TV, I think live-action-only audiences have finally gained the patience to get beyond typical bite-sized entertainment. So, stories like Dune can now prosper in the movies and possibly TV if they go in that medium as well. Some Sci-Fi stories are just really difficult to fully tell in the 2-hour (pushing to 3-hour) limit of movies. I know that one of my favorite book series was pushed to be made into movies, but eventually, the writer admitted that the amount of story that needed to be cut was just far too much of a compromise. He states that he is pushing for TV show like GoT, and all his fans agree that it is the better outcome. The first book alone has enough content for the first season, with easy segments for episodes. The special effects required would only be able to be achieved with today's (and future) technology, giving a more immersive visual experience. For Dune, I'll actually watch this when it comes out. I'm intrigued. Fun cast of actors with a few that are always a treat to watch in whatever role they land.
  5. Amazing! If we lived in the UK, we would try to join you. Take pics along the way?

I'm being called into the office this Wednesday, so no go for me. But, I know @MrSwainey101 and possibly @ImRyzxn are looking to join? Also the usual suspects of @Kemp210 , @TurboR56Mini , @Bluebear ?
  7. @TurboR56Mini DLed the game while I was out and about on Saturday... so, I think I will as well. Although part of me just sees the aesthetic of Fallout 4... and I've built many obnoxious bases that have the ability to kill anything before it gets inside (laser turrets everywhere) that I might still be a bit weary on it lol. Let's see. 🙂
  8. C Also, no worries on feeling nervous about shooting the oracles. The PlayStation crew can attest to me generally refusing to shoot them, and it's only something I've recently sort of been doing. I'm more comfortable shooting them on PC due to better and faster aiming and easier and quicker swapping of weapons. Unlike if I'm on PlayStation, aiming isn't as quick or easy or precise. 2 raid runs in for you! Soon, it will be a much lower stress activity lol.
  9. Also, now those of us on Keyboard know which button is to cleanse hahah. Great having you on!
  10. Shall we run this again? Let's get @Tar-Eruntalion some glowy gear! And any other of our PC players that need it!
  11. No map. Part of my fun is having people stumble upon it. Hahaah. Imagine the fun of wandering around, then hearing a constant howl of wolves, and you go, "What is that? Where is it coming from? WHAT IS THIS WALL??" That's my fun. Or, "What is this portal?" Lol.
  12. I've been dabbling in Valheim recently as a way to de-stress. Like you said, Destiny is nice, but it's not... relaxing lol. I'm playing around with the iron poles for support. Mostly because the slope of the roof and the distance from the ground was getting bigger the lower the floors were getting lol. Feel free to make any aesthetic changes to either the main wolf house or the one up north near the mountain! Follow the wonky stone path to it.
  13. Hah. To be fair, since @TurboR56Mini 's and @Tar-Eruntalion 's massive, beautiful, and collective structures are not around, the lag isn't terrible. I haven't really terraformed anything for that purpose, which also contributes to the lag. Resources have been brought to the area, and the only things removed are trees and rocks that are in the way. Building the two big structures by barely leveling anything has been an interesting challenge lol. There is a framerate drop near the main structure, but that's about it 😄 ... mostly because I haven't properly redistributed the wolves from their pen to another area.
  14. 200 wolves might be vastly underestimating them... I'm working on a "Rest Point" in the north end of the sanctuary, and for whatever reason, that is now surrounded by at least 50 wolves. I thought it would be interesting to build a place that went with the slope of the mountain...
  15. Friends! My wolf sanctuary's wall is now complete! May all the wolves and cubs enjoy the safety of the meadows without fear of a wayward Fuling or agitating a Lox. There is still some danger from the Deathsquitos coming over the walls, but overall, the danger to the growing pack has been greatly lessened. There is now enough (more than enough) wolves to fend off any raids that may occur within the walls. A few may perish in their battle, but the sacrifice of 3 - 5 wolves for the whole pack, of probably over 200 wolves, is worth it. I'll be tweaking things in here... I want to try to create paths to each entrance and rest point. I might double up the walls. We'll see.

    Get your glow on @Kemp210 , @ImRyzxn , @Bluebear , @Riff Machine !
  17. Same for me on a few things on Apple. I refuse to get another streaming service and hope that once exclusivity dates are done, I can watch them on a different platform. My favorite actors are Chris Pratt, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Evans, just to name a few. I think we have a thread somewhere else that sort of deviated into actors/actresses instead of character lol. Pratt does seem like a genuine good guy. I think that's where a lot of his appeal is. Same for Reynolds and Evans. Actually, Reynolds is just funny in a way you totally know you would have a good night out drinking lol.
  18. Admittedly, so did I lol.
  19. Hmm.. I think @TurboR56Mini would be curious to see the stats and differences.
  20. Yes. He jumped in the other day when we needed 2.
  21. FYI that MrSwainey101 wants to join the raid. 🙂 I've given him instructions for our forum and Discord. We just finished the boss checkpoint for Pit of Heresy with him.
  22. No worries! It doesn't seem like many people will be around this weekend anyway. It's summer everywhere. 😄
  23. No worries! Not sure a PC raid will happen this weekend as I have a full day booked with my mother, which will probably leave me looking for lots of alcohol by the end of the day. I'd like to see if others will just get used to the time too and run some other stuff lol.
  24. @TurboR56Mini and I watched The Tomorrow War yesterday. I do enjoy seeing Chris Pratt take on these roles. His demeanor is just enjoyable to me. Fun action sci-fi movie. It actually had 2 story arcs/chapters through the whole thing. I thought the movie was over, but nope, still another segment to wrap it up. Thought that was cool. Definitely a one-and-done movie. But, I could see some additional stories still happening to explain whatever the nonsense was that caused the aliens to actually be on the planet... Not going to give spoilers. You'll just have to watch it. Definitely a little obvious for two of the major underlining plot mechanisms. You'll see it within the first 10 minutes, I think. And, you'll figure it out before it happens lol. All in all, good times.
