  1. Back to this topic again as we seem to be getting inundated lately ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿคช Obviously goes without saying, take care not to click on any links from randoms until we get around to deleting them. And thanks all for reporting when you find them ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ‘Š

  3. Apologies for the video quality but it was quite a while ago. St Etienne had a certain Mr Platini playing for them. This was my first "European Tour" and it was almost a bucket list destination. That was after hearing the "Green Roar" against Liverpool FC on a tinny tranny in the '70's. The green roar was quite muted as the game went on and the home support melted away as the fourth goal went in IIRC the away support for that match was about 400. The coach trip was 18 hours each way with two drivers hot shopping. Despite all the fan problems of the time, there wasn't a single arrest at any of our EUFA Cup away games.

  4. Being born in 1993 I didnโ€™t have too much time with video games in the 90โ€™s. That being said, I did have a game boy and a Dreamcast. So I would have to say Pokemon Red/Blue for me, with a shoutout to SoulCalibur too!

  5. So many great games, it's impossible to choose but here's a few mentions: Super Mario World - SNES Goldeneye - N64 GTA 2 - PC Age of Empires - PC Medal of Honour - PlayStation

  7. Gutted for Coventry! What a remarkable comeback in a quite epic game and then getting screwed by VAR with the last kick of the game. If I were a United fan, I don't think I would even be able to celebrate after that near-humiliation. More questions for Ten Hag and another capitulation. Meanwhile Nottingham Forest have made a stunning statement after their defeat to Everton. Absolutely mad daw of football!

  12. Football? Oh go on then. There's so many, probably why we love the game so much. But this following 2 minute montage just reminded how much I was so behind the England team in 2021. That was a magical day. A time where everyone doesn't believe we can beat big teams. That Southgate can't do it. That Kane can't do it. What a day that was. I'm literally tearing up watching it all over again. And again. And again. This is what we live for. โค๏ธ

  13. Can't see it being dropped. We can't be the only league without it when you go to Europe and big international tournaments it will be on I would suspect. Let the teams have 2-3 calls for VAR through the game that can pause the game up to 3 minutes at a time. Works in other sports but doesn't take the responsibility away from the man in the middle that everyone has to accept their decisions.

  16. Actually played against the 6th best player in the UK on PlayStation last night. 40th in the world. 3-0 down and managed to get a 3-3 draw and probably should of won, had @GazzaGarrattwatching and cheering me on. Makes me think if I should start entering a few tournaments.

  17. 100% engagement. I am still in FG. Probably Phil Babb slide tackling the goalpost whilst playing against Chelsea. That or Liverpools miracle 4-0 against Barcelona that time back then. I love you, Tom โค๏ธ

  18. 4 very bad defeats in a row for Spurs now and little chance of grabbing a top 4 place after failing to capitalise on any games in hand and today's defeat for Villa. Well done to Ipswich for getting back into the Prem also!

  19. Sony are already removing paid products and shutting content servers down plus you also have the likes of Ubisoft even revoking licences and making games totally inaccessible so all in all, several games in the last decade have become unplayable. Some titles even require day one downloads to function because the disc is incomplete and about as useful as a paperweight. If a game has a single player component and can play out of the box then it's fine but there will be many titles that will become wholly unplayable. Thankfully most of the modern shite isn't even worth treasuring which is why 99% of my games are digital now and I couldn't care less. Don't think I'll have the urge to visit The Crew 2 in 15 years time. I think after the PS3/XB360 era when physical media died and live service took over, that's when I stopped giving a toss. It's also the time the industry changed for the worse.

  22. Hear hear @phil bottle. I do add some protection from keywords to try and stop as many as we can not even posting but it is inevitable we'll keep getting them over time. Like Philly the Great says, keeping reporting them. Note, you can use a button instead of replyign to report content if needed. That sends an email straight away to all Moderators and Admins that a post has been picked up by someone that looks suspicious. Thanks all GGFG โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค

  23. Looking back we were in a state of transition, moving away from 16 bit graphics to experience our first forray into 3d. A lot of the 3d models were blockish and certainly would not hold up well today, heck it's not often you see someone make a 90s style game but people do keep going back to our 16 bit era. So, are there any games you remember fondly? For me it'ss the obvious final fantasy games, but in addition to that I always remember fighting force. Spending a lot of time on streets of rage when I was younger I suppose this was the sort of game that evolved from them, walking around 3d levels beating the crap out of people. So, are there any that you remember fondly?

  26. Very tough choice because the 90's made some huge strides in very little time and the industry kept evolving and innovating massively - imagine going from Doom to Half Life in just 5 years! The gulf between a 2019 game compared to a 2024 one now is almost nothing. Metal Gear Solid is a very strong shout because it told an incredible story and had some unforgettable gameplay moments. There's also Half Life as mentioned, Resident Evil 2, FF7, Super Mario 64, GoldenEye, Age of Empires 2 and many more. I'd probably give it to MGS overall as it pushed the PS1 to the max and also exposed Nintendo's mistake in using cartridges as even some of the sound files were bigger than an entire N64 game! Games going from 2D to 3D was big in those days and Mario 64 was also a significant leap. I really miss huge innovations like that these days.

  33. Crazy how Chelsea have spent $1.5bn including a few ยฃ100m+ players and Palmer is the only decent signing. City probably shouldn't have got rid of him although it would've been very hard to accommodate him into the team at the time. Impressive how good he is in such a bad Chelsea side and probably the only remotely exciting player they have. Jackson is probably the worst finisher in history and could've probably netted 40 goals this season.

    More Studio Closures

Microsoft are the new EA; buy loads of studios and when they don't make billions just close them down. After they shut them down one of the MS execs came out and said they want to focus on smaller games. The type of game that Tango had just made with Hifi Rush ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ Game Pass just isn't sustainable and MS seem unable to work out what to do to fix it, apart from putting the price up.

    Helldivers 2

Perfect, makes sense now. Thanks @Lurchzy and @J4MES OX4D. I've now read that Sony seem to have still not made the game re-available in the 177 countries they are not in so even though PSN linking was made optional again, I don't think this is the end from a Sony perspective. I do think things can change in games over time, especially in live service ones like this one but clearly if they knew this before as an option that may happen then all they had to do was communicate it. Mental how many things fall over in the world just because someone didn't say something at the relevant time.

  40. I was born in 1990, that's no excuse! ๐Ÿ˜› A lot of my gaming was gameboy / megadrive to be fair. The gameboy was the first one my parents bought me but I got the mega drive quite young as I was given it by my cousin, he was much older and I think at the age where gaming got left behind a little while he went off chasing girls and such I suspect.

  41. I've played 2 hours of the game, it's a bit janky but I'm really liking it. I chose the LRI faction, which can never be changed, and this means if you have friends who choose one of the other factions (there's 3 in total) you can't play with them as they are effectively your enemy. A dipshit team-killed me tonight which was a bit stupid as you can see all your faction players location on the map. I hunted the prick down and had my revenge : ) Game needs some work but they seem to be pretty responsive as we can shoot from helicopters now, so hope they continue to listen to feedback ๐Ÿค— I bought the game for 29.99 and if they carry on making it better I'll support them by picking up one of the supporter upgrades...will see anyway...

    RIP Tarkov

With the release of a new edition EFT pretty much killed themselves yesterday. I won't go into the details as I'm the only one who plays or cares but yeah they've always been a bit scummy but now they're pretty much hated by the whole community ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ˜ญ

  45. I would just put it down to the complete imbalance of young and experienced players, they just donโ€™t have anyone on the pitch to guide them and it shows. The only player to stand out for them this season has been Cole Palmer. If they didnโ€™t have him they wouldโ€™ve definitely been in a relegation battle again.
