Hi i'm new to the forum and wanted to say hello. I have an xbox one s and the games i like to play are call of duty gta halo and forza. I'm not saying this to get sympathy or anything like that i have learning difficulties and live in a care home for adults with learning difficulties. The moment a lot of the DayZ community were waiting for, finally happened last week. Server files were released. Modded servers have already started appearing, though it'll be a little while before we see any major tweaks, at least there'll be some fun PVP stuff with what's already bin the game...with modding I imagine Arma assets will be likely the first kind of thing that find their way in. Vehicles by christmas and I'll soon be back on DayZ most evenings. Dear Survivors, today we are releasing the DayZ Server Files. Anyone with sufficient hardware will be able to host their own DayZ server. You are now going to have more customization options and will be able to configure your servers directly. This, of course, goes hand in hand with new opportunities for modding as having access to the server files gives you much more freedom than ever before. It is important to mention, that even though we are thrilled to see what our community can make we are not officially supporting modding yet. Why? Mainly because some parts of the game can change a lot and we are still finishing the modding tools we want to provide to you in the future. That being said we definitely won't stand in the way of your creativity. You can read the documentation and the minimum recommended system requirements here. We believe that these files will help you create the unique server environment you always wanted. See you in Chernarus!

Not much.....yet! I think quite a few are still on the fence even after experiencing the betas. Still hard to gauge whether it's a great package worth the £50/$60+ or a desperate last throw of the dice for the franchise to remain in the big time. I do think it'll be a popular game though and whilst it may not reach the heights of what the series once was, it'll still offer something for everybody. It could also grow more popular after launch depending on its initial reception. It's gonna be an interesting few weeks up until launch so I'm sure we'll be keeping our eyes on it.

The time trial ones are great though I don’t generally replay them once I have the gold so always good to have more reason to play. I think switching cars is key, I’ve driven so much in the Gr4 class I’m pretty competitive at tracks I don’t know but absolutely rubbish in any other car class. In short yes. I had GT2 - GT4 but then switched to the xbox 360 so only had Forza. However I’d say it is the most enjoyable console racing game I’ve played. There are things I miss, especially from Forza, like the car customisation. Performance mods, body mods, custom paint jobs are better in Forza in my opinion. However they are all ancillary to the actual racing which is good and mostly the online racing is pretty clean too.

I’m not too sure about getting it myself, although I’m pretty sure I say this every year and still end up getting it 😄 It should be cheaper than it is, since it’s basically just copy and paste from other games and there’s also no campaign.

I think you apply via the Destiny 2 companion app (other access routes are probably available) and one of the admins accepts you Via the FG App

Going to move GTA FG Races to fortnightly on a Friday. I think this way everyone will enjoy coming back to it and not feel like it's a burden that you have to play every week, even though we've never said you have to turn up. We also should look into the target races as well to keep it fresh and fun.

I'd be totally up for this! Nice idea Greebs, when I picked this up before the time trial times to beat are so addictive. Keep switching the cars is a good idea too.

It is indeed a great game. I usually stick to racing Gr4 or Gr3 cars so this is a good way to force me to use other cars. Hopefully a few other people will be interested as I can only kick your ass so many times

I listened to you guys and rang up 3 again to see what I could get. Didn't get the Samsung Note 9 but got Samsung 9 instead. No upfront cost and only £33 for 30GB of data. Thats only £5 more than I was paying so I'm really happy. Oh and 2 years instead of 3 👍😉

Treyarch games have terrible netcode at the best of times but Blackout is certainly a sight to behold. I know they've copied everything from other games in BO4 but you wouldn't expect them to swipe the negative aspects that plague other games too! I guess players will be hoping for a HC Blackout playlist😎

If you absolutely have to get a Samsung then I'd just get an S9 or S9+. Same processor, camera and RAM as the Note 9.

Played a handful of games so far - best ones were 4th twice and second place. Visually the game looks very good maxed out on PC - some bland textures but overall the colour is good as is the terrain and locations. The functionality of the interface is great thankfully and the game does work well as a BR formatted title. I just don't know if this is the type of game I'd want to play over and over and put a lot of time into. The core MP does not impress me at all at BR may just divide and deplete what is already a flaky population. Also with the usual COD BS of hitmarkers, bad bullet detection and connection problems; that can be tolerated in team deathmatch but in Battle Royale it's fatal and game breaking. Treyarch games can piss me off at the best of times even if I'm going 25-5 so to die in one life because of bullshit may just frustrate me too much to really enjoy the experience. As the guns are all fictional and I don't know anything about the perks; I have a lot to learn - I was even using a shotgun earlier thinking it was a burst Assault Rifle!
