I am pretty surprised no one has discussed this on here, I picked it up on PS plus and I am playing it with a group of mates and it is brilliant. Up to 6 players, if you enjoyed the half life games, Black mesa and such it really has those sort of vibes. You begin the game as a scientist going into an underground base to presumably begin a new job but things go wrong very quickly, everything get's shut down and you are trapped under ground. Your goal is to find out what is happening, what is going on and to escape. The survival and crafting element is brilliant in that you are eating snacks from vending machines, having to purify water and turn plastic dinner trays into protection. It plays really well and is great fun and loads to get your head around. There are multiple levels of threats and then you can go and explore little portal worlds as well to bring back different gear or equipment. Please please please check it out if you are into survival games it really is a load of fun!

I'm fairly interested in this. It may be the kick in the ass I need to get back into online shooters. I also heard today that they're using a kernel-based anti-cheat for BF6. The one streamer I was watching was down for it, but some of his chatters were being pissy.

The online PC space is plagued with cheaters, I used to find it funny in DayZ as you'd get scripture being quite imaginative, making the sky rain with animals and stuff like that but using it to win games or to look like you're good at a game, just sad imo In Tarkov it got so annoying, dying to cheaters made me go PVE. Though tbf im playing it more than ever as a result of that...

Son leaving is a loss to the PL. Fantastic player and seems to be loved by everyone.

Some Battlefield 3 vibes which is good. I'm fairly optimistic about this one especially as Respawn Entertainment managed to salvage BF2042 to a degree and keep the series going. He's been the perfect role model to lots of kids, many Spurs fans rate him a bigger influence than even Harry Kane.

I am guessing they do it cuz at the start of their streaming career they are generally crap at games so helps with their channel but by the point they get big then they can't get rid because it would be obvious? I don't get cheating on games to be honest but I suppose there is no financial implication if I have a bad game or bad night, usually just a pride thing and realising I am getting older!

These people should be banned for life, it blows my mind they get invited to these events (then again its EA after all, not exactly known for having any integrity either), and by their very existence these cheaters ruin the experience for everyone else, fucking weasels 🙃

One of the Call of Duty scumbags was captured cheating surprise surprise. Why these cheating streamers get invited and how they are allowed to continue making money from this behaviour is beyond me. I know EA are desperate to capture a wider audience but things like this piss me off

It looks superb...but still, what we all saw was in a closed environment. Personally I'd wait and see how the netcode etc performs before shelling out my hard earned money.

I think it looks superb to be honest. I'll actually be buying it and I haven't bought a game at launch for a long time (I either get games on Game Pass, rent them or wait for a sale).

Has all the looks of a return to form, and will try the beta but yeah well, we'll see how it launches lol 🤪

Some excellent footage

October 10th so the leaks were right. Beta's this month also. Kinda wish they didn't go all Call of Duty in the trailers but it was nice to see Operation Firestorm returning and hopefully we'll see some other classics come back. My main worry is everything being too destructive and chaotic especially on the smaller maps. I love Metro and Locker but a relentless barrage of rubble and smoke effects could make the smaller maps look a bit messy. I trust it will play well so we'll have to wait and see.

I'm definitely more confident about this one especially as most people who made 2042 have long left the company and proper and proven developers were brought in instead. I knew instantly that 2042 would be a catastrophe because it had no campaign, no squad system, no voice chat, no scoreboard, 128 players, barely any guns, no server browser, no stat tracking, stupid specialists, map-changing levolution replaced with temporarily inconvenient weather effects, awful interface, no rush, TDM or dom, no progression, overly-large and empty maps and bot-filled lobbies. It was literally the most anti-Battlefield game imaginable and clear the developers didn't have a clue what the series was about or what they were doing. They were removing staples of the series and the genre without any logic. My only worry with BF6 is if it leans too far into COD. We desperately need these big BF4-style tactical maps.

In the same boat, I pre-ordered the last one having enjoyed the few before, won't be doing that again. The group I play these games with are liking the looks of it but I won't lie to me it just looks like a call of duty game at the moment.

Exactly the cause of my reticence. I was hoping to give it a good test in the beta but of course it comes out the weekend I'm away 😄 but hopefully you lot will play it and give some feedback as I want to get it and I want to love it.

Yeah i dunno about this still, 2042 left a bad taste, partly the shitty launch but also that no-one gave it much of a chance. I bought it and played it mostly solo and would've been fun if others had bothered with it. If the single player campaign is good then maybe after launch I'll pick it up. I have Tarkov for my shooter needs, I don't see any game better than that right now 🙂

The gameplay coming from the test environment looks very good especially from a mechanics standpoint. Looks quite refined now plus there's cool things like being able to drag and heal injured team mates for revive. Definitely seems much closer to BF4 and 2042 but I hope there are larger maps that aren't as chaotic and bloated with effects. Who would've thought that ex-COD developers would save Battlefield lol!

I'm hoping this is basically BF4 2.0. That is IMO the best BF to date. They're doing a big MP reveal event on July 31st and leaks suggest the beta will launch straight afterwards or the following weekend. The also accidentally gave away the release date which is October 10th.

They're great at pulling nostalgia chords with their theme. I almost want to reinstall bf2 😆

Reveal trailer coming later today. Looking at Call of Duty right now, this may be our last hope of a decent military shooter. This game must have a campaign though.

Leaked Battlefield 6 gameplay

This 100% BF4 is still my favourite FPS ever.

If it's as good as BF3 and BF4 then I'll be happy. BF4 is probably my favourite game in the series.
