  1. Really enjoyed it...but then, I enjoyed all of them πŸ‘

  2. I know there aren't many of us that do it but I do like collecting my physical games and yesterday in game the missus agreed to buy me a game I found in the clearance section. So said game was Zelda tears of the kingdom and it had been placed in this area as it was the collector's edition and the box was a little damaged. Bizarrely we bought it for only Β£41, the price for this second hand in cex is still Β£40 so straight away we are fine, but then I am getting a few collector's items too ironically enough I think I could take this to cex now and sell it to them for more than we bought it for. So yeah, a game I wanted anyway but had held off and knowing what happens with Nintendo games and how their prices depreciate it's likely that it will never be worth as little as we paid for it. So yeah just seeing what gaming bargains people here have had in the past?

  3. So just been looking at portable stereos as I could do with something that could do everything i.e. bluetooth but also DAB and being able to play my cd's which I still enjoy time to time. This got me thinking about technology that I enjoy or use that seems to have been around for ages and it also got me reading articles online about how tape cassette's are on an upwards trend (even today I can't see what the fascination would be with them). But it made me think, in my car I still have a small ipod that get's used every now and again with songs from my younger years, everything being streamed from your phone today it is probably outdated tech but tech that is still pretty useful in today's world i.e. not draining my phone battery in the car playing music on longer journeys and such. I have also seen the Polaroid cameras recently, they seem to be sold everywhere again (the one's where you print out instant photos). So is there any tech that you still have lying around in use which might be considered outdated or any tech you would like to see make a bif of a comeback?

    Modern Warfare III

As we get older, we don't want to change. Easy to get stuck in a rut and not move with the times. Doesn't mean we should like what people do new, but games have to evolve and we must adapt sometimes to how new games move. As we haven't got the reflexes or the time we used to have (if you're moving 30+ and above here), then its pretty easy to see why the new games don't feel great. Quick movement on BO6 and smaller maps which means more gunfights. I still think its great we wreck as a team because thats they way to combat better individual players. I'll go on the old ones for Private games for good laughs with each other but they won't offer much more other than sweats that don't want to move on so therefore older games get even harder. My 2p.

    Modern Warfare III

That's how I feel about the BO6 maps. Vault is a decent map, Rewind isn't bad. The rest are either too small to be fun to play on or just straight dogshit (Vorkuta and Red Card).

    Modern Warfare III

Meat was good, Rio is decent and tanked was really cool. Everything else is 5 or 6 outta 10 maps for me. Sure Greece looks great appearance wise, but playing on it wasn't much fun. A lot of these DLC maps were just boring and forgettable for me unfortunately.

  9. @slamminbones @Luseth @GazzaGarratt @Diddums Great to hear from you all! I actually just got the PS5Pro and have been gaming quite a bit on Bo6. Y’all should add me! Would love to get some games in. I mainly play TDM/Kill Confirmed/Dom/HP/Prop Hunt MuzzLiteYear#4017081 haply holidays as well!

    Witcher 4

It has become pretty tiring, if the game isn't a halo/cod manly men circlejerk then it's woke and DEI, how are we regressing that much as a society? This Ciri is older and has gone through hell to become a Witcher, of course she won't look like a perky teenager like in Witcher 3, that doesn't make her ugly as some call her and with the way the Witcher 3 ended it makes sense for Geralt to live out the rest of his life in peace while Ciri becomes what she always wanted to be

    Witcher 4

All of the Gamerbro's are having a meltdown because Siri is the main character. The game is "woke" (I absolutely hate that term) now 🀣 They clearly know fuck all about the series.

    Witcher 4

Let's be honest, this is going to be great, the question is how great? Does it live up to the Witcher 3 which is to be fair still my number 1 game. I put a lot of hours into that and intend to go back in the new year! Ciri as the protagonist is not surprising, what is though is that she is using witcher spells and drinking witcher potions, the lore has always said that a witcher can only ever be male so they are going to have to go into that a little bit. I imagine it will be down to her blood I suppose. New voice actress? And it looks great but you always have to take cinematic trailers with a pinch of salt as so often we have been burnt by them in the past.

  20. I’ve been playing this today. Beautiful game, amazing presentation and very cinematic. Unfortunately for me I’m not really into melee type games so I don’t see myself playing much more. I can deal with stealth and climbing but grabbing various items to use for melee, that break after they’re used a couple of times, gets tiring quickly. I would have loved this when I was 12 years old but not now.

    Dino Crisis

Just seen Dino Crisis is now available to purchase on PS5/4 for Β£8/$10 as well as being free for PS+ subscribers. It did launch a couple of months back but only to PlayStation+ Premium but after several weeks of badgering, Sony have done the correct thing for once by making it available to buy instead of holding their back-catalogue to ransom. Dino Crisis STORE.PLAYSTATION.COM Escape an island overrun by dinosaurs in this classic survival horror title Definitely gonna grab this over the festive period.

  23. Sounds like awesome progress, I'm barely getting anywhere recently. Keep trying a few different guns, but not really getting close on anything. Nice stats as well dude.

  24. So I've golded 6 AR's with 1 to go for Diamond! GPR and it's easily the worst one to do.....my god it's like slapping your dick on someone's forehead. Already folded 2 SMG's, Tanto and C9 and 1 LMG which I think is the XMG, close with the default LMG. (PU...) Yeah loving the grind on this, really entertaining, just about to hit prestige 5. KD - 1.49 W/L - 1.89 Happy so far

  26. Sounds like amazing progress Lee! Headshots do just come more naturally. I mean longshots can happen in core, but you end up fishing for long angles and get sniped or bum rushed up close. It makes you play different and essentially get bored. It's mostly the SMG's that longshots were tougher, you have to build the guns weird as well.

  27. Great post @RenFengge I am getting close to what I think is the point of no return so beginning to turn party members into Hero's of the Veilguard and closing out their character stories. I think some of them are pretty fun i.e. I have enjoyed the necromancer's story and ending, Harding's was interesting as it gave a bit of back story to the titans. But generally agree with most of what you have said. It isn't Bioware of yesterday by any means but it's not a bad game. I am hoping to try and get the platinum trophy and if this is the last dragon age game I wouldn't be too hurt as it is on a downwards trend but yeah it is a shame considering the heights of where it all started and fortunately there have been games in recent years such as Baldurs Gate and Divinity that have taken up the mantle.

  28. Just finished this game at 130 hours. @TurboR56Mini mentioned I should post.. even though I have been silent for a good while lol. Here's the thing, I loved BioWare.. Dragon Age Origins was a breath of fresh air to me. My enjoyment of the Dragon Age series is what got me to pick up Mass Effect. These two franchises are near and dear to my heart. So, the hate that Veilguard gets based on trailers? I get it. It's not what any of us expected or wanted... and it just further shows how much EA continues to destroy game studios. EA is why we got the failures of Anthem and Andromeda. Veilguard being in production for 10 years? That's EA written all over it. The game got rebooted numerous times. That said, what was released? Is it good? It is. Is it the same caliber of DAO or DAI? Absolutely not. Remember the nonsense of DA2? Veilguard is probably what DA2 would have been if DA2 wasn't rushed. The gameplay is enjoyable (minus the annoyance/QOL issue with respeccing your character outside a boss fight/needing to reload a save to do it). The story is decent. Can the final act make up for the rest of the Veilguard story? Maybe? Depends on how you look at it. I took this as a farewell to Dragon Age. It wraps up so many story threads. I applaud the writers for keeping such major parts of the lore under wraps for so long. I would say, just play it to finish Solas's character arc. The secret ending is an opening to more Dragon Age... if EA allows BioWare to do what they do best... and not meddle in what they do. If you don't get the secret ending, no harm. Treat this game as what it probably was intended to be --> a farewell to the world that BioWare started with DAO. The graphics are a bit cartoony.. but don't let it deter you. I had to remind myself that the reason why I never picked up DAO when it was released was because of the terrible graphics, but I ended up enjoying it. Get past the graphics... get into the story. The elves look odd. The Qunari look too nice. But everything else seems to mostly work. The writing isn't the quality we expect from BioWare in their golden age. The voice actors do the best they can. I think if they didn't need to keep scrapping the game and starting over because EA would dictate demands, this wouldn't be an issue. The ending was fleshed out long ago, hence the final act being the quality we expected and worth it. For those who somehow are pissed about it having a non-binary character and saying "go woke, go broke" about this game... if this bothers you, then you weren't paying attention to everything else going on in Thedas... or fantasy... or comic books. DA has always had diverse characters. And, DA has always had political and social commentary (so has Marvel and DC and Star Trek and Star Wars and numerous other things we all enjoy). Bottom line for this game: It's good. Is it GOTY good? Absolutely not. But, it's good. I agree with @Luseth that this is probably a 7.5 out of 10. I will probably replay it to get other interesting tidbits about the lore based on Rook's character and choices... and even the Inquisitor choices.

  32. I don't use it much now but I have an iPod Nano which has hundreds of songs on it that doesn't require an internet connection, has a headphone jack, has a battery that would last longer than a day and is so easy to use by its smart design. If I want to do that now with a modern device, I have to use my phone, carry around separate bluetooth headphones, connect to the internet, obtain some subscription service and then drain the fuck out the battery streaming a fraction of songs. Also if I had the time and space, I'd be playing on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The last 10 years of console gaming has been dismal.

  33. I am very mixed on the maps, I seem to dislike one's people kind of enjoy (Red card is horrible for me) but enjoy others such as lowtown and protocol where the general consensus is not so positive. As far as all round good maps I think Derelict and Skyline maybe and though not my favourite map I seem to do best on Subsonic ^_^

  34. I've only played Extraction twice and both on Dom. The B flag is a must obviously, but one of the sides is a horrible spawn trap. If they have B + that warehouse your literally fucked. Played Hideout a few times, it's not bad really. A fairly decent map imo. Not played Heirloom yet so I dunno. 🀷

  37. So, just wondering if there would be any interest in seeing if we can come up collectively with an FG top 10 must play games list? Currently thinking the format along the lines of everyone puts a list down of say 5 games each, we then all have to put them into priority and then each position get's a set number of points i.e. if I put the Witcher 3 top, then Fifa (heaven forbid) second then Witcher 3 would say get 10 points and then Fifa 9 and so on and so on. Would that interest people or am I shouting into the wind? πŸ˜„ I would then look at doing a short write up for each game in the top 10 so if anyone has comments to say about any of their nominations, memories and such put them in the post and I could look to use them in the write ups.

  38. Thanks guys, I will set a deadline (31st October) otherwise these things can run on and be forgotten about πŸ™‚ @GazzaGarratt I am expecting some from you! Some of the games I would have chosen are above so to give some more options for a final vote - - Final Fantasy IX - Minecraft - Baldurs Gate 3 - World of Warcraft - Mass Effect 2 I steered away from a lot of retro titles, I think as Bones suggested they need to be easily accessible today, with Final Fantasy having been re-released on ever console known to man and Mass effect having it's remaster not all that long ago means you don't need to boot up an older console to play them.
