Last few nights FG went on another flying winstreak. Mitch, @Lurchzy, @Macca89, @Luseth, @Greboth were on board and last night it ended at around 35 for me with the same peeps including @Misneach_ and @LordBaguette. A great game where we were 98-0 down on Terminal and flipped it around to win 250-221. Even a late game on Highrise would you believe was losing for half the game on Domination but managed to turn the tide to win by around a small 15 points in the end. Trying to fend off the opposition on Point B on that map is a nightmare. Can't believe I have to sing Tom's praises but Smoke grenades have super helped in tight games when you want to lockdown a flag or a hardpoint.

I never bothered trying Elden Ring or the Dark Souls games as I typically don’t enjoy these type of games! Don’t want to waste my money, however with Lies of P I was able to play it through Game Pass! I did try Wo Long through Game pass but couldn’t get past the first boss 🤣 The thing I liked about Lies of P was the Specter mechanic. Being able to take on the boss battles with some help was a godsend and there’s no way I would have beat the game without it! I will definitely consider going back to Bloodborne though as I was always interested in the atmosphere and setting!

I didnt either, until I played Bloodborne. 😉 And Bloodborne is easier than Lies of P so you will beat that too! A few years old though so doesnt flow as Lies of P does but a great game. Loved the atmosphere in it!

I agree with @GazzaGarratt, holding back content to release it at a later stage just seems like a better way of hiding the lack of new content they have for this game, which is just the same as the previous MW2. They're getting better at vajazzling. Nonetheless I too am actually enjoying MW3. But then again, I haven't found the 'SBMM' to be much of an issues really — it's probably because of my hyper fixation on the objective to grind the win.

I also understand what Elliot says, for me the best is still vice city stories for both size and campaign. I think as you say the map has to be huge to facilitate online and as far as I'm concerned they could dump online in the bin. Only really use it for our races.

It's one person who makes it, it's worth the money now as is in early access.

Separate nights. So far I can only see we can do 'Playoff Nights' when its that time of the month. I'm thinking we do some more tournaments for fun - maybe a solo one but a duo one too as I think you can do 2v2 can't you on FC24?

I kind of get what you mean @Middle Class Caveman, the open world is incredible large, and in fairness, requested by public demand. I think that works fantastically well for GTA Online. Campaign wise I kind of got bored after a few missions and wanted to go off-piste with mates. The Heists they created in GTA5 were class and hope more of that formula will exist moving forward. Lets hope Online mode will be released at launch and not just the campaign in Q1 2025.

Hmm, not sure I agree with the comparison. They've just been better from a business POV on how they've released stuff in MW3. They've held back loads of gamemodes and ALL new maps so when they release content 3,6,9 months in, it feels really fresh in comparison to a feeling we all have when we get a reprised map - initial nostalgia and then quickly want something new as we work it out quickly. Private Matches just show they have held back a ton of gamemodes which I really hope we get to see them in Season 2. Anyone tried out many of the new guns out in Season 1? I don't think I've tried any yet, slowly working through the launch ones. I've still enjoyed this season a lot though. Lots of FGers on to group up and make it an enjoyable experience. 2 things could be better for next Season for me: 1) The Events haven't been anywhere near engaging as MW2 ones so far and 2) Highrise can get permanently deleted.

Well done for completing it @WelchyTV 😄. My son still hasn't started it, not sure why as he seemed to get into Lords of the Fallen more first and now hes moved on to his PSVR again for abit. I'm sure once he starts it, as he enjous these games, he'll probably say its up there. I think most people still see Bloodborne up there as the one to challenge this title score wise...its making me thing 2024 I should go back and try and finish a souls like game like that!

I havent completed it yet, will go back at one point. You should really give Bloodborne another go! Demon Souls was not my cup pf tea. So you havent played Elden Ring or Dark Souls? Dark Souls 3 that is. The others are too old and slow. Bloodborne was the first I beat. Wo Long is pretty good too!

Beat Lies of P last night, the first souls like I have ever beaten! I’ve tried Bloodborne, Sekiro, Demon Souls and Mortal Shell in the past but gave up with all of them pretty early on! I persevered with this game as I loved the setting and the idea for the story, and I’m glad I did as I ended up loving it! I thought the combat was fantastic and particularly liked the mechanic where successfully parrying could break the enemy weapon! However, I found the Legion arm to be mostly useless, and felt like using any larger weapons put you at a massive disadvantage which meant I didn’t experiment with weapons as much as I would have liked! The visuals and audio design were great though and the story was interesting and more “in your face” than the other souls games, but I would still have liked the story to take more of a central part of the game. Overall, really enjoyed the game and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys souls games. I gave it a score of 8.4 on my instagram where I usually post my reviews! I enjoyed it so much that I’m actually considering going back and trying Bloodborne or Demon Souls again?! Anyone else beaten this that thinks I’m crazy or think it deserves more than 8.4?

I have gotten back into videogaming a bit, and picked up Fallout 76. I've enjoyed it in it's current state. I'm on PC, Docwagon1776, if you happen to see me around. I'm not a terribly social player, usually just do my own thing, but if it's someone from here I'd certainly be willing to catch up. The Atlantic City expeditions are more enjoyable than the Pitt ones, I think. The Pitt got boring for me in the scavenger hunt stuff where if you didn't know the possible spawns you just spent forever looking for things once you'd killed all the enemies.

Map update: Estate and Wasteland can get in the bin. Hate them. I tried copying @Luseth and his knife escapades. I didn't do as well but it was fun.

I don't think the gloves matter, I did find the infantry vest worth having as you run ever so slightly quicker but I have changed to engineer's now so I get an extra tactical grenade, covert sneakers and ghost are a must and then I use smoke grenades, if you are playing a point based game mode you can smoke up points and run in slashing ^_^

What's your setup? I use to love Maraton + commando + lightweight + tac knife to enrage people. It's the only nuke I ever got on MW2. Got it on the quary map. Might be fun to run something similar again

I won't lie I am having immense fun knifeing people 😄 I have started to use one of the new guns (Holger) which is also pretty good. I'm torn at the moment, if I start using the gun more my K/D will increase, I think I am sitting around 1.1 at the moment which is 0.4 off the last game. Running round with the knife is holding me back in that sense but on the flipside I have probably picked up the most kill confirmed tags than anyone in the world the past week because I can't avoid them after stabbing someone in the back 😄 There is also quite a funny animation sometimes when you knife, it sort of just jabs the knife out into the player and honestly it is the most pathetic way to die, it looks like someone getting stabbed by a butter knife from my view 😂Couple that with the enemy trying to do it, that's when I know I have won because they are blatantly raging and wanting to get their own back 🤣

Yeah so I'm definitely not sitting above a 2.0 W/L more like a 0.78 W/L...But I've been grinding out the camo challenges for the MW3 weapons. All I have to say is good luck with the Grenade Launcher Forged Camo challenge. That was terrible.

Now this game is pissing me off. Some mini bosses here is tougher than Elden Ring/Dark Souls 3 bosses ffs. Read that many Souls gamers stated that this is the toughest soulslike game to date. But this was a month ago, and I think they lowered the bosses health bar in an update about that time.

No worries mate. Allthough I am about halfway through the game, it hasnt wowed me yet. Some "common" puppets and mini bosses is harder to defeat than some of the main bosses 😳🤔

Its getting better, but it has some annoying elements. Enemies throwing elemental cannisters at you that knocks you off ledges, some enemies almost impossible to dodge. A coworker says its one of the best games he has played. Right now, Bloodborne is better but there is some cool features here, you can build weapons to suit your style, as in mixing different weapons together. He will probably like it. Think it got 87 or 89 on Metacritics. As for Lords of the Fallen, another guy I work with likes it very much. Cant compare it to the first one.

Thanks for that Brede @NCA-Paendrag, my son has noticed it as Bloodborne is his favourite game. He's more looking into Lords of the Fallen instead but even that has had mixed reviews. Let us know if it picks up as you get more into it.

So, a couple hours into this game, and I am not sold yet. Combat is slow and sluggish, easy to get hit even when dodging. Coming from Wo Long, everything will probably feel slow, but compared to i.e Bloodborne, it doesn't cut is so far.

My biggest problem with the demo, was that I couldn't kill the Parade Master boss. Guessing a bug. Depleted his health bar three times and still wouldn't die. I really liked the atmosphere of the game, and if they iron out the issues, such as getting stuck, enemies that wont die etc, it will be a good game imo.

I'll keep an eye on this but I know Brede said in his PPR that it needs a little bit of work. However, the look and feel of Bloodborne does it make get a little excited for it. I wonder how they gameplay differs from that?

Played about 45 minutes so far - it's like a mix of Bloodborne, Dishonored and Bioshock. Has some serious potential and looks fantastic with some truly incredible ambience.

Had my eyes on this game for a while!
