    Modern Warfare III

So I wasn't a fan at first but last night I had immense fun running around once I had the sneakers, couple that with ghost as you say and I feel that's a must. That then led onto me finding that running around with just a knife could be incredibly fun, people aren't paying enough attention to what they can see and I ended up the evening with the Knife as my third most kills for a weapon only about 15 from my second weapon 😄 I saved a fair few clips, some of me looking incredible, others of me flailing about while someone just steps back and shoots me in the face! 😅

Im actually also enjoying it, the game definitely changes when you get the covert sneakers and as such for me at least it's a crutch perk, I absolutely hate the sound of my own bloody feet. It's nice to also have a fast paced game I can run around on, map dependent, after last year's campy slow as shit game. I'm actually looking forward to them adding the few decent maps from mw2.

  7. I’m quite enjoying it ! Love the breacher drone. Love the sneaky sneakers. Love the people who don’t use the sneaky sneakers the clod hopping numpties one thing I have noticed, it’s very much a long range CoD. Marksman, sniper, battle have all worked good for me, but haven’t enjoyed the assault I’ve used and haven’t touched SMGs. I think the ttk increase has played to the hard hitting weapons more. Have actually done the campaign then went back for trophies. Would like to do some team zombies when I’m through the levels.

    Living The Dream

14 year old me would have loved that, the amount of hours I sunk into that game!

  9. So this dropped yesterday. I plan on picking it up today, but did anyone else grab it? I've read some good reviews on it that it sticks true to the original. Probably one of my fav RPGs from back in the day.

  11. I was thinking of picking this game up shortly but wanted to see if anyone here has played it and what your thoughts were. It seems to have pretty decent reviews and is currently on sale.

  12. Multiplayer at all? We miss a survival game to try out as a group. Looks okay, a little Sim City esque but with additional combat perhaps. I wouldn't pick it up on my own I think.

  14. Part of me feels like we're either ignoring City's issues altogether or its waiting for the pivotal moment to effectively relegate them to League 2, abit like in Italy they did the same with Juventus. Makes me think City's lawyers are threatening the EPL with everything they possibly can. Still, even with Everton's 10 points deducted, they're not bottom 👀🤣

Running the Covert Sneakers and Ghost is great fun as most players chase red dots and just listen for footsteps, so you can now run right up behind people. I've already done a couple of executions. I absolutely hate a few maps. Rust, Estate and Wasteland can do one. Invasion is getting on my tits as well as players tend to camp in the Embassy. In the OG MW2 I wasn't a fan of Underpass or Rundown at all but I actually really like both of them in this game.

    New Unity Charges

I’ve had a quick skim through this and I’m not sure if it’s come up but they were planning on charging for pirated games. So if you make a game and one person buys it but then pirates it to 100 other people, you then owe 101 copies worth even though you’ve only sold one. Fucking. Genius Glad they back tracked, we need multiple game engines going strong so they keep pushing each other. Unity is so massive in the games industry, I’m surprised they haven’t tried to move more in virtual production like Unreal. Instead they decide to do this. Once again a load of wealthy people sat in a room without and idea about the real world and all came up with a stupid idea. They should work for the government 😄

Personally, I wouldn't mind playing Timmy-No-Thumbs every time. Nevertheless, I like to keep in mind it makes the wins that slight bit sweeter when you beat the sweaty G-Fuel snorting bunny rabbits.

Welcome to call of duty! Are you new here mate? It was most noticeable from MW19 onwards. Cold War, Vanguard, MW2 absolutely riddled with that STD ahem I mean SBMM.

    State of Destiny 2

Occasionally they got PvP right and then they fucked it up by moving away from it. There was a couple of seasons of iron banner where the gear was locked behind gain coins from playing and bounties, and it made it a bit of a challenge to grind out for the 'best' efffectively curated gear. They then moved to engrams so you could drown in loads of shit roles! Also Trials had a heyday for the more casual PvP player - when it was based in the Reef, and again bounty completion could get you gear, it was worth taking the losses to an extent. In fact now its back down in the Hanger it still has some of that but I think the RNG of engrams is always a bit of a joy killer. I always sort of thought PvP always sort of lacked a purpose in the lore - it was a training ground apparently, except no matter how crap you were you could drop good gear via RNG and could do any of the PvE stuff. As a training ground it had zero purpose. We all grind the fuck out of CoD for zero purpose, but somehow grinding PvP for zero purpose never appealed too much to me. Best times in normal PvP were probably the exotic bounties that forced you to do PvP in D1 - gave it a purpose (an hunter who got thorn at last will remember the feeling of relief after completing the void kills at a time when the only void option for hunters was a Heavy or one raid weapon! D1 and D2 were fantastic at times but as has been said before the cookie cutter Seasonal content just became meh ! Too grindy even for me, and thats what eventually made me drop away, and honestly cant even face thinking about going back! But when it was good it was great - the FG Raid teams in particular. So many great memories, and laughs. The hours of banging heads against brick walls for that one final run when everyone at last got it right. One of the great things was they way you didnt actually have to be great at the game to finish the raids, learning a role and having a supportive team meant you'd get the completion eventually, not everyone had to be a superstar, was incredibly accessible. Good times gang!

  25. It's only been 10 years since the last game so I'm intrigued as to what they've come up with. Maybe something new for us to do the occasional Friday night shenanigans...
