  1. Lowest recorded active players since the games release — so not only did we get our opponents to rage quit, but they stopped playing the game entirely 😬😂 Very bad behaviour @GazzaGarratt @Greboth @Luseth @Macca89 @techno @MrBiron @IRaMPaGe

  2. So I have seen a few more videos of this the last couple of days and the tech itself is actually quite exciting, what it's capable of I mean admittedly they do still look odd and I don't think that will change anytime soon. I don't think there are many of us that have experience with VR tech here? But if you have you will know that it is exciting (especially when you first play it) and it's a form of gaming just like no other. This headset is the first of the new generation of headsets, it's where the end goal is and that $3499 premium is so that you can be the first to experience it. The goal one day is essentially the riddance of a lot of our tech in the home and this is the first taste of it. Who need's to spend a grand on a tv, half a grand on a games console, however much on a great audio system to compliment it, another grand on a laptop or tablet device if you can just buy one of these and it does everything that they can do in one device? It sit's on your face so you don't need to find space for that tv in your lounge, you can conjure stuff in the air right in front of you (I mean as a designer of many things, not just work related I can tell you that excites me). If you notice on the videos as well there is a dial that allows you to block out what is going on around you and essentially turn it into a vr headset elsewhere so you could escape to other realms or worlds. That said it is still in it's infancy, this product is priced at a premium for those who can afford it and one to experience the future. It is still years away for the likes of us (unless any of you are extremely wealthy and keeping it quiet) but it's quite exciting really especially when you consider how quick ai could advance (admittedly that is scary in itself).

Chatting to Lee about GT the other day got me thinking it’s been quite a while since we’ve had a race night so how about it. We can pick some races if we get some people.

It's definitely needed. I do miss our GT night and hope we can get it kick started again.

    1. Race Noun a competition between runners, horses, vehicles, boats, etc., to see which is the fastest in covering a set course. 2. Slaughter verb kill (people or animals) in a cruel or violent way, typically in large numbers. @Greboth please identify the correct word YOU want to use to describe the events next Wednesday? I think you misspoke originally. Or is it just the large numbers part you were unsure of the attendants?

  6. For the first proper AR kit to be available to the wider public, it was likely always going to be on the steep side. It does and will look like the future - AR is where all gaming developers and most other tech people say we will be in 5-10 years. So for that reason, I can start to understand why we're seeing the first one now hit the market can be a good thing and at the same time the price be astronomically out of reach of so many of us which is disappointing. Seems more of a technical statement to the outside world that Apple still matter more than anything else.

    Meta Quest 3

This isn't a huge upgrade on the 2, it's very much quality of life improvements that I can see so far. If you have never given VR a go though it really will blow your mind the first time you experience it (if we ever get invited to your garden bar / outhouse I will bring mine with 🙂 ) I must admit I have not seen it so I will check it out!

  9. So recently I have had a bit of a focus on psp and ps vita games, the vita games I have 3 new additions and I am finding the games already pricey to collect so be mindful of that if you ever want to collect vita stuff. That said if you want to begin a collection and keep it wuite affordable, psp is a nice place to start, the last couple of months I have picked up a fair few games (most of them being under a tenner) and they are all fun exciting games in my eyes, many of which I have not played to date -

  11. I think I have to don't I?! I only got my character to about Level 11 and got tired of it by then (too much FOMO for multiplayer games still), so its probably easier to start from scratch. That way the story will make sense from the start for me then.

  13. Ok, early access dropped for this on June 1st, so many of us have been playing the shit out of it. curious to hear what everyone's thoughts are. Me? It looks great. I prefer this visual style to the more toon-ish look D3 had. It plays awfully similar too, so that's a plus. However, the constant enemy scaling to your current level always makes it feel like you're underpowered. Simply walking from one destination to another often feels like a slog due to the constant encounters you run into. I'm currently playing on tier 2, and there were a few times my A7F backup singing Necromancer nearly met his end to a group of shambling corpses or some bottom-end skeletons. I've seen similar complaints across multiple sites so I'm glad I'm not alone. Also, and maybe this has something to do with it, but after hitting Level 35, the difficulty seemed to spike. I'm not sure if it was just me, but most of the time spent running around felt more like endgame stuff rather then the main quest/story. I also think they buffed the enemies based on data from the previous betas as the game does seem a tad more difficult. The class nerfs probably helped that as well. My little skeletal army gets wasted pretty quickly now as opposed to the first closed beta. I'm almost positive there will be a "day 1" patch coming on Tuesday addressing some player issues and complaints. Diablo 3 was pretty awful when it first dropped and didn't really hit its stride until Reaper of Souls. Let's hear it FG. What are your thoughts?

  14. So apple just announced their augmented reality headset with the hope they can muscle in on the vr market. They only cost a measly kidney at $3499 -

  15. VR has literally come nowhere since Half Life Alyx and still the majority of publishers are still unwilling to take a risk and there's nowhere near enough specialist developers in this field. The Quest 2 has really driven sales as a great entry-level piece of kit and has captured exclusives like Resident Evil 4 VR but even then, it's not really grown much Facebook themselves are burning over $10bn a year on AR and VR as part of their Metashite and they've come out of it with nothing more than something weaker than VR chat. Apple are just trying to get ahead and they will just end up with technology that is heavily under-utilised and then deemed a waste of money flop. If they had a string of compelling software to immediately push boundaries then it would be an eye opener but as per, it'll be a fad that YouTubers and some celebs schmooze over and then it'll be back in the box for the foreseeable.

  16. That I agree with but I have not seen anything indicating that would be the case. Perhaps you have. What they said is that they would be earned differently which strictly speaking would mean that you don't have to purchase them. I could be wrong

  21. Yes and thats a choice which the player can make but anyway whether or not anyone chooses to prestige or not isn't the point. My point is that it would be a pretty shitty move for them to take the insured slots away from people and then make them purchasable. Thereby more pay to win I honestly don't mind the slots being taken away and I also don't mind them being made purchasable, but if they do both then that is just a shitty move.

  33. That's awesome man. MW2 has been popular the last few months with the forum in particular. Check to see if anyone is on in the evenings. On some occasions when we have over 6 people we will start doing private games. Sometimes like 10 people, 5v5 all FG. Absolutely rocks!

  34. Well, i'm finally back to COD after a 2 year break and I have to say - I still suck at it! However, getting to use the MP7 on Dome today brought back some great MW3 nostalgia!

  35. I've been recently reconciling my PS1 games as I did have quite a few naughty copied discs back in the day (hey, not my fault my parents clearly didn't want me to have the proper ones!) so I thought it was time to fix that. There's a few new ones below though as a few half decent deals came up with the game I needed so picked them up at the same time. Looking forward to trying out all teh football games later in the year and hopefully with others here face to face when I've sorted my space out. Fun useless fact. I could never beat Tenchu properly as it was rock hard when I was young. Couldn't even get past the first level boss! I ended up using the infinite health cheat to help me complete it instead. I'll go back soon to see if my skills have actually done anything in the past 25 years 😅

  36. I put this on my PPR but I thought I'd post it here as well. I manage to pick up, The Simpsons Hit and Run, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Sonic Heroes and Star Wars Battlefront 2 all for Playstation 2. I also then received a few other beauties including SSX and PES from @GazzaGarrattwhich I was extremely happy about. I've yet had the time to properly play any of them but I am very excited for when that moment does come around!
