  2. I agree with your point James, I just didn't see any that did give performance related enhancements. Ironically, the purple Ronald McDonalad outfit we've played against of late just makes you find them quicker and want to shoot that guy more than anyone else! 🤣🤣

  4. Insane result for Sheff Weds. Peterborough have a good setup so I still think they'll be in and around playoffs or maybe an automatic spot next season. That's momentum for you. Emotionally, Coventry play like Germany when there in playoffs. Other teams just seem to panic and get scared but fair play to them, they've got enough points, put the ball in the net so deserve to be there. It doiesn't matter that either team will struggle - its more about getting that money to start bank rolling the team to yoyo for abit until they can sustain a PL place for years to come. People say its not about the parachute payments cos these 2 haven't got it, but this final is a rarity to see and i don't think the Championship will be as wide open in the playoffs for a while again like it was this season. I'd rather you didn't....knock-on effect might mean Feyenoord legend Jon Dahl Tomasson could be wanted so we get robbed of our manager. Awesome. Gary Neville called it some months back. Not everything he says is right but his reasoning for this happening was fair. It feels like a bottle job, but the real reasoning is that squad in depth that City have compared to Arsenal is just incomparable. When Arsenal needed fresh legs in this last few games they didn't have it, putting more pressure on the existing squad. Coming 2nd is still huge for Arsenal, but I get why you'd be gutted if you had that position with 5-10 games to go.

  5. Spot on. Activision do not give a single shit if you've been playing COD for 15 years. Well, they care in so much as you've been giving them money every year for the past 15 years. But they don't care if you're a "loyal COD player". That means fuck all to them. All they want is money. If they piss of their player base so people stop playing but STILL make shit loads of money then they've achieved their goal.

    Hello everyone!

Hello , I'm new here and I have been a lifelong fan of Capcom particularly the Resident Evil,Street Fighter,Onimusha series. I grew up playing and adoring the Pc Engine and SNES,I really have good memories of these consoles. My fav games are: Ghouls'n Ghosts (Arcade) ,Final Fantasy VII (Psx) and Metal Gear Solid 3 (Ps2) Happy to be here!

    Mortal Kombat 1!

As much as I want them they’ll likely just end up as games I spend a couple of hours on then only play for the odd 15 minutes here and there so just not worth it SF6 is also likely to be the same for me unfortunately.

  10. Pretty much every major skin releases overpowered to bait purchases and the come week 3, once sales have peaked and complaints are rife from non-owners, they then nerf the gun as some positive PR. Whilst the owners are then busy crying that their gun is weaker now, Activision releases a new bundle a week later so people move on to that knowing their latest bundle is worthless. I think dataminers found about 11 straight instances of this occurring between MW2019 and Warzone prior to them getting DMCA'd and after a slight downturn in this concept with Vanguard due to a lack of interest, it's now happening because MW2 offers huge potential for this. Content creators were even able to predict the exact week a bundle would launch and then the exact day it would be nerfed it got so predictable. It follows this basic formula - expensive P2W bundle released > player buys bundle > players dominate with said bundle > bundle gets nerfed > new P2W bundle gets announced > players (forced to) buy new P2W bundle > rinse and repeat. If it was just cosmetics, then Activision would barely scrape 20% of the business they are doing right now. There's the odd-quirky bundle here and there with some new animations, effects and finishers but the premium £24.99 bundles are a completely different story.

Loving the gore, the finishing moves look like they'll be legendary. With a new Killer Instinct on the way too looks good for fighting games.

  12. If it was cosmetic only then it wouldn't matter. The problem is these skins have underlying performance enhancements and that is the information that should be disclosed for fair transparency. Sadly Activision have literally DMCA'd every bit of datamined data regarding this previous and have literally shut off huge swathes of their API to cover up anything attributed to true stats, server performance and player metrics. Loyal players with high spend have to pay higher prices and players with low ATV are baited into jumping on the microtransaction circuit with personalised deals and carefully curated dynamic prices. Many players don't buy skins for their appearance - it's all about the performance benefits that those bring. The only time they are transparent about microtransactions is anything related to their Endowment charity. These are basic cosmetics only and sales are tracked and published. Activision typically make $3-5bn a year clear profit on Microtransactions across their small portfolio and that is after development costs have been paid along with projected upkeep. So no matter how much they spend on their games, they always have at least $3bn at hand for a rainy day.

  13. Get yourself on one weekend mate. I've tried it now a few weeks ago with Carl and Jon and I must say it was starting to get addictive at one stage, only when I learned how a few things worked though. It helps that @TurboR56Mini and @Tar-Eruntalion have amassed some resurces already because for a first go, you kind of need certain materials to start creating some stuff so you can get a hang of it. I think the ladders and how you traverse some cliffs need a little work and the enemies that you sometimes come across are quite random and strange (not sure what their purpose are) but the building is definitely something to keep exploring.

  14. I'd agree that it is a very good mode that not as many people here play but I think alot of that has to do with the max party size of 3 if I'm honest. I go and play it sometimes when i jump online and only 2 or 3 jump straight into a party....but 2 mins later we usually hit 4 or more players so MP then is the way to go. Considering they allow 6 players to group together when you are on the map itself, it would be nice to see if they could allow a mode with larger squads. It would open up possibilities for more players to jump into together when theres 4-6 around. I'm sure they'll build on it more so because they've built it into the F2P side of things too.

  16. Shocking bottle job from Arsenal and finishing with a right wimper. Could've gone 11pts clear a month ago and now City win the title with 3 to spare and have just beat Chelsea to go 7pts clear and could win the league by a margin of 13. They did the hard part and got into a great position being 8pts clear, out of both Cup competitions and Europe also, whilst City were playing in the FA Cup and their priority being the Champions League. They wont get a better chance than this year considering all the circumstances. The blew two 2-0 leads on the road to draw both and then had a 3-3 against the worst team in the league at home. That was the killer to bring City into the title race and then the 4-1 at the Etihad was a complete shift in mentality and quality. Had Arsenal not dropped those 6 points prior, they would've gone there 11 clear and could afford even to lose and it still been in their hands. Newcastle away was a great result and performance but it was too little too late and yesterday was the icing on the cake. Been saying it for a very long time but Spurs need a total overhaul and this is the worst they have been in many years going back to the mid-2000's. I actually can't believe they are so high in the table. There's been too many shambolic results and performances and the amount of deadwood that needs gone probably represents 90% of the team. Seeing Chelsea in such a mess has cheered me up greatly but it's only a small consolation. Spurs should not be going toe to toe with Brentford and Fulham.

  18. The manager merry go round continues at Spurs with Naglesman back in the picture again. I'm steering clear of click bait for the most part so could still be anyone. In a previous post I was a bit rude about Coventry but I'd rather them than Luton, even in they beat us against the run of play in the 87 FA Cup and made Gary Mabbutt look like a plonker, and they may not have a stadium but let's be fair Hackney Marshes would be better than that shit hole in Luton. Shame AFC bottled it, would have been nice to see it go to the wire. I will laugh though if the sovereign wealth fund lose against Milan in the Champions League.

  33. Except you have them the wrong way around the 400 cp account with massive discounts is his main and the 12k cp is the secondary. im not trying to say that this isn’t the case as it makes business sense to offer discount to players which don’t buy, I’m just saying that only having 2 reference points isn’t enough to know for sure that’s the case.

    Hello everyone!

Nice one man, we actually have a sub forum for all things retro. Retro games and consoles etc are very popular here. A lot of our members are of all ages, but lot's of people in their 30's and 40's who remember and enjoy the nostalgia of these wonderful times. A time were things were more simple and fun. Have a good look at this dude, quite a few topics and people showing off their recent purchases and collections. 😁 https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/forum/178-retro-gaming/

  43. I think it's brilliant business from Activision. I said back in December that come the halfway point in the games cycle, they will start implementing light pay2win elements in DMZ even with the mode being in beta and that by Spring, there will be aggressive and predatory pay2win bait bundles in play to milk the remaining audience with carefully curated pricing to maximise their income. A couple of people told me I was full of absolute shit and that Activision wouldn't ever dream of doing things like this but here you go. In March they even charged £25 for a bundle which could not be purchased with COD points that was recycled free content from MW2019. Their aim is to convert as much real world money into store credit aka COD points and to do this, they offer 'perks' aka discounts to people with a low ATV spend or a lesser established purchase history. Loyal customers don't receive such perks because Activision does not reward such things - discounts mean less money from willing paying customers which could also psychologically reduce their impulse purchase potential with future day one bundles if they believe they may get pampered reductions. None of this is new and that's why I was a bit taken aback in that other thread of users denying Activision's antics when there was literally 5+ years of this industry behaviour with irrefutable evidence of methods and implementation. Activision are in business to make as much money as possible and if they have to shit on the few remaining customers they have to extrapolate as much money as possible, they will at any non-monetary cost. It will be all gone and forgotten come the next game and that's why they don't care.
