  1. A mate at work once told me that they did a study that showed you usually switch off to new music around the age of 33 and then start just going over your favourite music types and songs instead of listening to whats in the charts. I can definitely feel that although I do listen to new stuff from similar backgrounds as Spotify is good at linking to your favourite tunes. @J4MES OX4D, I shit you not that was bang on in the start of my music journey, loved abit of Spice Girls! 🤣🤣 I used to listen to most stuff in the charts in the 90s and early 2000s which was quite eclectic ranging from Dance, Trance, Pop, R&B, Garage, Emo and some Indie. Pop was my first enjoyment with many Now Thats What I Call Music compilations bought for me. I had a big R&B/Garage time when it hit the charts. Craig David probably being the standout one. Indie had 6-12 month spell with Razorlight, Editors and The Kooks all releasing really good albums. When I was old enough, I loved Trance. Barthezz, Mario Picotto, Paul Van Dyk and other DJs that mixed some great compilations like Ferry Corsten. 80's synth now lives with me alot because before a teenager i'd listen to my mums 80s tracks, which were ace. Lisa Stansfield, Soul 2 Soul, Bryan Adams, etc. I probably search for alot of 80's synth type tracks and find them more entertaining now than anything new these days! One thing I would say is I struggle to listen to new songs that seem to all be Rap songs to an extent. They just don't seem to have a melodic tune to go with them, not like early Rap with Gangsta's Paradise and Set Adrift on Memory Bliss.

  2. I feel two ways about Remakes. On one hand I want to see new fresh ideas with new titles that blow us away, but equally there are some games that the world would totally work with updated software and better functionality available these days. Command And Conquer would be me go to. That sim game would be unreal if you could make it into some form of a MMO too. @slamminbones - good shout on Tomb Raider, not like the newer games, more so like the original 3. @Luseth - My worry with any Final Fantasy remake is they will change the battle system as seen in FF7 which left me tainted. Nothing beats the ATB system for me in those worlds. @J4MES OX4D - I feel Red Dead is still to early to get a remake, because as you say if its sooner rather than later it will only be a port which is pointless for that series. Agree with Splinter Cell though!! @Jason - I'd love to see Chrono Trigger because i've never had the chance to play it either. From those days i'd actually say a few sport games should be remade, like Super Tennis. I'd love to also see the Multiplayer portions of the games Mass Effect and The Last of Us to be remade as had an awesome following and deserved follow ups. One more to add that probably had some foundation but needed a full re-write - Anthem.

  3. Conte has to go and he can take about 75% of the squad with him. I honestly don't know how Spurs are in 4th place right now and still they could be displaced by Liverpool if they win their game in hand. Another mediocre display last night from the get-go - anyone would think they were playing for a draw despite going out. Need a new manager with an attacking focus. Also need to dispose of the wealth of shit players on the books who will never improve or do anything for the club.

  5. As other James said , it's a lot less arcadey and definitely has more depth. It doesn't quite have the charm or personality that many of the SIm City games had but it makes up with it for being really expansive. Pity EA killed the Sim City brand really but Skylines is a great successor in the domain and there aren't many of these games around now.

  6. Been a handful of pretty successful remakes in recent years - Resident Evil 2, Dead Space, Demon Souls, Final Fantasy VII, Metroid Prime, Age of Empires 2: Definitive, Mafia, Zelda: Links Awakening, Tony Hawks 1+2 and I was wondering if there was any you wanted to see? Off the top of my head, mine would be:- Dino Crisis - classic PS1 title that was shunted for the Resident Evil series. Grown massively in popularity in recent years and Capcom would be more than capable of pulling it off. Metal Gear Solid 3 - a tough one for Konami to pull off especially without HIdeo Kojima at the helm and despite plenty of rumours of the original and this one possibly being remade, still no sign. Splinter Cell - confirmed by Ubisoft after relentless fan badgering (supply and demand doesn't compute with them) but still nothing in the works - suppose they are working out how to monetise it to death. Red Dead Redemption - As long as it isn't a port by Grove Street Games like GTA Triology, I'd love a rehash of the original with RDR2's engine and world depth. Would be massively successful. Max Payne - Rockstar have been sitting idle on the brand since 3. I hope Remedy rebuy it back one day and remake the original with the technology they have at their disposal. 3 was just GTA without cars. Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 - they've done 1+2 which were a huge hit but no sign of the third game which was a groundbreaking leap on the PS2 back in the day. Deserves a remake. System Shock 2 - Remake of the original releases this month and hopefully they do the sequel too. First game is quite limited but the second offers way more. Bully - Surprise hit from Rockstar about 15 years ago. Got backseated by other brands and GTA but they could do wonders with a sequel if they had the ambition away from GTA Online. Skyrim - just kidding. 27 versions of this decade old game is more than enough. Please no more Bethesda!

  8. The Campaign now has 2 difficulty settings. Normal or Legendary. It came in as a brand new thing with Witch Queen DLC and it stands for me and most others as their best story campaign to date, mainly down to this too. Rewards are more plentiful and jump you up level wise quicker after legendary, but clearly harder combatants to defeat. Legendary also makes you feel like a campaign is worthwhile whereas early D2 days the campaign just seemed to be an intro to the rest of the game. Campaigns should always drive story and other things happening in the entire Destiny 2 world. It scales difficulty too if you are solo, or in a fireteam. Alongside the campaign is the F2P stuff, and then the current Seasonal stuff linked to the Season Pass. Usually worth around 7/8/9 quid for 3 months of content. Similar to Battle Passes in all other games (so a tier system of rewards) which give you additional missions, activities, exotic missions and other rewards such as Seasonal Weapons and Armour.

  9. Ah super, would rather try a more simulated game rather than arcade-wise. As long as it doesn't lose you in the detail I'll keep an eye out for this one.

  10. Agreed, that's why I said they couldn't fuck with the combat system 😛 Also what the fuck is wrong with you???? Also I have it on the nintendo DS 😄 It's probably the most affordable way if you want to own a copy (I think it's still under £100 just about), can't remember how much I paid for it years back.

  13. For me the first game that comes to mind… Chrono Trigger. One of my favorite games a kid I think it was way ahead of its time back then. Multiple endings. Consequences for actions. Huge list of weapons. Great combat system. Compelling characters. All would make for a great next gen title. Plus it’s old enough that a lot of people haven’t played it.

  14. No more resident evils the very first one which was on the game cube was spot on the recent 2nd and 3rd I didn't feel it the 4th haven't watched or read anything yet but will get it. One remake I've been waiting for is Dino crisis. Tomb raider 2 I would like to see as that is my favourite out of all of them.

  16. Cyberpunk 2077 should be remade into the game they promised. Black Ops with Kowloon. DayZ should be remade into a game that is as good as the old mod was but without the bugs. Still waiting on fucking bicycles. Arma 3 One of the best games of all time thanks to all the modded game modes and maps. I'd love a version with AAA graphics and better performance. Fallout New Vegas...on Unreal 5 I'll probably think of more and come back...

  18. Surprise surprise I'll be in my rebellious days until I'm no longer walking this mortal coil. This Mortal Coil is actually an old band, bit before my time though. I listen to a lot of music, my go to genres being punk rock and reggae. Didn't pay attention to music until I was 14 and a school mate introduced me to a load of bands. The lucky thing about being a teenager in London in the early 90s was the sheer amount and availability of live music. I saw the Stone Roses in a pub in Islington, Happy Mondays and Primal Scream in a pub in Camden, all before they hit the big time. A Monday club night in London at Dingwalls used to let the first 50 people in for free and I'd go with my mates and manage to make a pint of lager last the whole night. Jungle was big when I was a kid as well and I did like the jungle versions of old reggae songs. My tastes have always, been eclectic, though I generally hate swing beat and modern jazz, and and anything with voice modulation, I'll listen to most music. First band I saw live was the Jesus and Mary Chain. They still get a play when I'm in the mood. I could talk all day but regarding the OP, I listen to the same music I always have, the list just expands with time.

  19. I think my first cassette was Modern Talking 🙈🤣 Then later I got my head straightened and started listening to metal such as Accept, Metallica, Iron Maiden, WASP, Dio etc. Mid teens I added Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam etc to the list. Had some moments where I was into rap, like 2LiveCrew, RunDMC, 2Pac and the like. Much of this is still golden today. Still listen to AIC, PJ, Metallica and alot of rap. Added some more pop music on my older days though.

  20. Ooooo these have to be full on remakes - Final Fantasy 9 - My favourite game to date, if they remade this but don't fuck with the combat system I would be well happy. Knights of the old republic (They are doing this anyway so we will see what they do with it Witcher 1 - Again they are doing this and I am quite stoked for this one. Jade Empire - This was one of those underrated games that didn't quite do as well as it probably should, a real gem. Dragon age origins - One of my favourite games to date and I don't think this one would be too difficult to do, members of the original team have said they would be keen but EA just don't get single player games and probably don't see this being profitable. The Lord of the rings Two towers - Your telling me this would not sell well, running across the top of the fortresses throwing orcs over the side and shoving ladders down and hearing them scream 😄 Dark Cloud & Dark Chronicle

  23. My brother went to a gig last night and sent me a couple of videos of a band he saw, just so happens it is a band I used to listen to a lot when I was in my teenage years, obviously it got my reminiscing and I am sure at some point I will create a playlist dedicated to those years! What I want to see from this thread, tell us what sort of music you are into today and then tell us what you were into in your rebellious years, let's see if you have changed and by how much 😄 My go to these day's tends to be country music (though I will listen to almost anything), I mean who doesn't love Shania Twain? 😄 My teenage years however was much more emo / metal, the band my brother saw last night was bullet for my valentine but I used to listen to a lot of Slipknot, system of a down, Tool, Metallica and one of those groups that I was probably the only one of my friends list that knew of them, I loved Nightwish.

  27. When I was young it was just cheesy pop and chart stuff from the early-mid 90's. When I was 15 I remember buying and getting into various different artists. Things like Eminem (Slim Shady Lp +Marshall Mathers) Also things like Limp Bizkit, KoRn, Greenday, Nirvana, The Offspring, Blink 182 etc amongst many others. Was listening to more Nu Metal when Linkin Park arrived. Also bands like ill nino, Deftones, American Head Charge, System of a down, Queens of the stone age, Incubus. I then Starting going more into Heavy metal/Classic rock/Thrash and heavier stuff. Was listening to Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Deep purple, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Pantera Sepultura, Soul Fly. Was probably about 17ish by this time (Almost 20 years ago, Circa 2003ish) I always had a thing for Funk and soul, blues, reggae, indie and many other genres and rap I listened and enjoyed dance/electro/House some trance. Fat beats and DJs, but not happy hardcore. Just adding new artists over the years. My tastes are varied and vast. In the last 10 years or so I don't really listen to the heavier stuff, but still appreciate it. I will listen to most things apart from Chart pop and Country which I don't really enjoy what so ever. Exceptions being Johnny Cash or Willie Nelson. Don't mind Bluegrass or that, just not the typical country and western ting.

  31. Not much of a game progression tip but I know Character looks is key for many of us. Simple one to miss but you can keep equipping your highest gear, but change the look afterwards if its looks horrible and uncoordinated. Equip your gear and then on the overall view of your character, hover over the gear you want to change the Appearance of and click Square. I hate all the glasses and hats, so you can even select to NOT wear any type of hat, glasses, etc which I think is a real big plus. Essentially every piece of new gear you get, the game stores it as a customisable option for you to use whenever you want on other gear. Nice Transmog functionality.

  32. That good everyone?! Amazing! I really miss the chatter on this game. I've installed the update so will start to slowly playthrough the campaign soon. This game is set up now to be played more for fun than grinding your arse off, bored to tears. I think it would give us some great co-op moments still, especially as there is literally nothing out there that can compete with it.

    Starfield

I'm pretty sure it'll release this year, especially with Xbox making a huge deal about it. Right idea to delay to give it a fighting chance at launch too as not many games are due to be out in September, at the start of the colder seasons.

  34. A quick test using a couple of the FG Discord Voice Rooms earlier with @Greboth and @crispymorgan and it works really well. Chat is very clear and good news is if we wanted way more than 16 in a chat for whatever reason, we can use that now as well as crossplay folks. Only thing is if you're on Playstation and checking to see if people are in a chat, you won't see people in a discord chat to join, you must join it on your phone or pc, then transfer it to your PS4/5 to speak in it via your playstation. Not ideal but way better and easy to get your head around.

Starfield delayed for a third time Starfield Delayed Again, Launches in September - IGN WWW.IGN.COM Bethesda has delayed Starfield once again, as the game will now launch in September for PC and Xbox Series X and S. There will also be a Starfield Direct on June 11, right after the Xbox Games Showcase. Not a huge delay and likely a tactical move but with Bethesda's track record, it wouldn't surprise me if we see this run into March 2024. Currently 10 months off their original and 'guaranteed' target. I expect 32x the detail now😎

  43. I've started my quest in playing my backlog of games. Since Saturday I've finished FireGirl and Syberia. Currently playing The Inner World. I'm not going to play games that are long, so no RPG's for the time being, nothing grindy like Stardew Valley that requires farming. Each game must have a story to follow and preferably not extremely long. I'm going to use HowLongToBeat website to keep track. https://howlongtobeat.com/user/DaddaZilla Could be a good way to see what each of us are playing at a time if we add each other as friends.
