  2. 💙🤍 Played like a fully fledged Premiership team last night. Literally played Leicester off the park and its the first time looking back through the year I can finally feel like this team IS good enough. You always hope your team does well in league and in cups but there's always been a realism to the squads limits. Jon Dahl Tomasson is a bloody good coach and taking us to another level.

  10. Yeah all of Roald Dahl's beloved books which contain "offensive material", are all to be censored and replaced. Anything from non binary terms to fat/ugly shaming. 🤦‍♂️ Some of these books were a part of my childhood, I have fond memories of them. As much as I hate Piers Morgan, I have to agree these are ridiculous.

  12. Thankfully Puffin did a u-turn after mass criticism and the books will remain as written. I just hope the integrity of stories from source, not just from Dahl but other authors will remain especially in e-book form. Too many deranged snowflakes working in such senior publication capacities now and the irony is the majority are unhinged clowns on Twitter. Literally tried to censor things related to obesity whilst trying to insert blue haired non-binary queer characters into the narrative replacing timeless culture icons.

  15. Micro transportation. Clive Sinclair had it right, just a bit early. Cities and all new developments need to build cycle lanes that cut through to the right places. Regulate and permit personal e scooters. Up the limit on power for bikes. Even the Citroen Ami has a role for nipping about. But as long as people are driving Porsche hybrids that are massive and worse on fuel than a small car we're not going to make any progress.

It had top have one. Looking at some of your experiences about how big the open world is it would've been a shame not to utilise some of it and expand further. When's it coming out?

  20. So yeah, of course I picked this game up, inevitable. It's an excellent game, or it will be with some tweaks and bug fixes. Some things, like the inventory, crafting and building is overly complicated, which takes some getting used to. But most mechanics and UI are smooth. It also looks great. I don't expect to play too much for now but I'll be keeping an eye on development, and if anyone else picks it up let me know.

    Your gaming backlog

I have comitted to getting a new car this weekend and it's going to result in monthly payments so I decided to work out way's I can save money elsewhere in my life. One of my biggest expenditures is my gaming hobby as I often buy games new or buy games when I have loads still to play 😄 So this weekend I started noting down my gaming backlog with the intention that each time I complete a game then I will delve into that list first for my next game rather than buying a new one to help save a few quid. Turns out I have a big backlog, I only noted down physical games as if I include diigital it includes the subscription services and steam and get's rather big. So my intention for the next 6 months is to focus on playing just games I already own, I think I have 2 additional games pre-ordered in the next 6 months but I am going to try and not buy another game between now and August 🙂 So how big is your backlog? Do you actually play games from it or do you frequently say you are going to and never get round to it?

Nice one Matt good luck with the savings plan. Did you get the new car? I'm similar to others I have a few games, mostly the monthly free ones from PS plus that I'd like to have a go at. But the few evenings a week that I go online there's always someone playing cod or fifa or rocket league so I just join them and don't play single player games.

    DMZ Season 2

I couldn't get it to work but the stars did align. I got two randoms doing the same exact mission who spawned in with the camera. We got it done in no time BTW going to that location is worth it as there is a lot of good gear in the caves. If you are cautious you can clear solo without too much trouble. Just be prepared for the 2-3 shield guys. It's a good place to get vest/backpacks/Kill streaks

  34. NVMe drives have an optimal operating temperature that is much higher than a regular HDD. So if they get too cold they actually become less efficient. So you will want them to run around 40+ degrees celsius. However they will also begin to thermally throttle when they get too hot, which is around 90-105 degrees Celsius depending on the brand. So unless you are doing crazy amounts of non stop writing to the drives (like 30 mins+) you are unlikely to see any performance throttling. Given that what is on the drive is the game information you are going to be reading all the time. That's why an SDD is also great for a PC operating system and SW because after you install you mostly read. Solid state drives are also made of FLASH memory. Flash memory has a limited number of writes for its lifetime so that last thing is you want to do is write to it a lot which would cause the throttling. PCIe Gen4 NVMe is a different story as these seem to run a lot hotter, so that is why you will see them coming with giant heatsinks pre-installed on Gen4 drives. I never checked the interface for the PS5 I would check what sony has to say

  35. I just use gigabit internet to redownload games as and when. 😎

  36. To go back to the original post, I have a 500gb drive in my PS5 with a heatsink and I would tend to be over cautious and get a heatsink than not get one and face issues down the road. As for size, I have found the 500gb to be plenty in addition to the internal and I do have some biggish games on there like COD, Hogwarts, Fallout 76 and fifa and such. If I had spare cash yeah maybe I would go bigger but I don't find I play more than 3 or 4 different games in a week because I just don't have the time too anyway.

  37. They tend to be so badly compressed. Something to bare in mind though, more often than not games that have ps4 and ps5 releases, it is the ps5 version that tends to take up less storage. From a couple of years ago but just found this online - But yeah the issues is developers being lazy I think more often than not resulting in large game sizes (in some instances it's about money, suspicion is that COD already has a shit tonne of assets in the game and they flick a button and all of a sudden we can buy them), I mean Call of duty is always over 200gb yet they can put games like Cyberpunk in 150gb and Hogwarts in 80gb.

  38. Sony recommend going with a heatsink so I'd get one just in case (I got one for my SSD that I put in). They don't cost that much and I'd rather spend an extra £10-20 than end up knackering a £200-300 SSD. You also need to check you're buying a heatsink that will fit in the slot for the SSD. I also don't think 2TB is needed: I put a 1TB in mine and haven't got close to filling that or the internal drive. Unless you're one of these people that keeps every single game on your PS5 even if you haven't played them for 2 years. Are you one of these people @GazzaGarratt 🤨

  39. A solid state HD should consume very little power, therefore a Heatsink is just a money grab that seems unnecessary to me.
