100% agree. I totally refuse to pay for any of the stupid shit in the store. I don't mind paying the Battle Pass but I'm not paying £20 for a stupid skin.

I picked this one up on Steam, and after I had bought it, I found out it was also on Game Pass. Anyways, It's a cool looking JRPG that gave me some Chrono Trigger kind of vibes when I first checked out the trailer. I started a new game tonight and they throw a lot of info, gameplay/systems wise, at you right out of the gate. should be an interesting romp if you're into classic JRPGs.

I thought I would ask you guy's what gadgets you have that you have bought that have been worth the money or better than you thought? I.e. on my old TV, it was a Philips tv and on the back it had the philips hue lights built in which really made it just that much better when gaming. I have contemplated buying the hue sync box and lights but they are a bit too steep pricewise. Did that £10 controller stand prove to be a surprisingly great buy? Are there headphones you swear by, have any of you splashed out on fancy controllers etc etc

Finally a new Crash Bandicoot title has been revealed. Looks like they are trying to get into the Super Smash Bros / beat em up genre. Has the potential to be really good, but also the potential to be totally forgettable. Lets hope for the first one. I am a huge Crash Bandicoot universe fan so I really hope it does well. Could be a good one for FG Fridays hopefully with the 4v4 Thoughts?

The shield did need a nerf, it may have gone too far though. That said I have it on mostly as ninja say's a turtle shell, it just provides a little extra protection if someone get's the drop on you and gives you chance to get away into cover before fighting back 🙂 On the flip side, with it being 3 hits, it's not exactly going to be easy for those who enjoy it to get the gold camo now as well.

I think a bunch of people made up their mind to hate it because that's the only way to get the M13. So they complain about a gun behind exclusive to a mode rather than go and try it out. I believe the purpose of the M13 exclusivity was to get people to try it. The next gun as we saw is available in DMZ or multiplayer. It's fun mode and worth trying

Yeah, I have it installed and will likely be playing it through for the third time 😄 I am quite the fan of the series and still have the original physical releases of the first game, I only have the 1 book so far though and am yet to read it so not sure on what if any the differences are between the different forms of media. I can say though that the storytelling of this game is brilliiant and the scenery looks fantastic, the only thing that lets this game down is the clunkiness of the controls.

Sadly wont happen as Activision have players by the absolute balls. Same with FIFA - players know EA relentlessly cheat them but the overriding amount of shills and the lure of such content mean players will forever have their wallets open ready to pay up for anything and everything. Players spend $hundreds on Warzone Verdansk content which they can't access ever again and every premium weapon bundle in the last 3 years has been nerfed shortly before the new bundle goes live to bait people to move on to the new content. Players get 3 weeks with an OP 'skin', it gets nerfed to appease the non-owners and then the new one is released and the cycle repeats. If it was just cosmetics then it wouldn't be an issue but to drive appeal and sales, these bundles need to have a USP more than just being a skin and that's when they launch OP and eventually get nerfed. Even the LA Thieves skin debacle just gone wont deter anyone in the community for falling into the same trap again either with weapons or more character cosmetics. As long as TikToker's and YouTube content creators push this concept, it will exist like a disease and the beauty for Activision now is they don't even have to sponsor or work directly with such creators because these lapdogs are doing it for views or to suck up to the brand in the hope of being noticed for free.

Platform fighters seem to be gaining quite a bit of traction at the moment, I got into multiversus for a month or so at launch but didn't really stick at is as it felt a bit too grindy for too little reward.

Its limited to 3 maps and 4 game modes but looks like enough to be interesting

I haven't played much of the update but am enjoying it, I never used the riot shield so quite happy with the nerfs but it must be pretty frustrating for players that do use it. Serves the people right that bought it. Everyone on YouTube and Reddit was saying it was going to get nerfed. If people want a change to the system then they have to stop paying money for shit like this. Stop buying all the bundles. I’m fine with season passes. I hate them but I understand why they do them. It pays for the content. I would always buy the dlc packs and typically hated the maps that came with them and disabled the map pack or your connection suffered because the community was split. This way now everyone has the maps. Even though most of them suck or we get Shoot House and Shipment instead of any other classic map for the MW series.

I'd really like a full blown CTR sequel. I'll keep an eye on this one. I agree that this could be a good FG friday game. I just hope it doesn't suck.

Andromeda had a lot of great elements but the overall package and execution, plus the way they dropped it, was a disgrace. I've got the ME reboot free on Origin and I've never bothered installing. But yeah maybe sitting on the sofa over crimbo may tempt me.

Yeah it’s seen as very much the OG of colony survival games and that genre has become quite extensive in recent years and with some pretty big hits too. 10/10 from IGN

With this being a PS Plus freebie, I may have to replay this series over the Christmas holidays. It's a shame there's no MP in 3 anymore. That was really one of the best parts about it.

The Iki Island expansion is really good as well. There's a little hook that Jin deals with for the most part of the game, but It's more Ghost of Tsushima goodness if you've been waiting for more. Seriously one of my top 5 favorite games of ALL TIME!!!!

I did enjoy Guardians! I tried GoW (the first game), on paper it's my sort of game but I struggled to really get going with it unfortunately. I would definately recommend the Witcher 3, would make for a good christmas game as well as there are some snowey / wintery sections as well. The storyline and side quests are brilliant and it's a game I am contemplating playing again with the upgrade coming out. Maybe I will finally get the plat trophy (I think I just needed to use the crossbow to shoot and kill so many people in the face or something like that) 😀

Once I've finished up with the battle pass on MW2 which I'm hoping to in the next couple of weeks. I'm planning on reining back the Call of Duty and playing some Batman Arkham Knight and Red Dead Redemption 2 over the Christmas break. I purchased them both in various steam sales but haven't played through either of them yet. Looking forward to it as I enjoyed the first games from both series.

No special plans so it will be mw2 and destiny filling the gaps. I am planning at some point to get sniper elite 5 on the pc probably, I do need to dust it and remove the cobwebs 🤣

Nice little topic to start @Luseth 🙂 I am hoping to complete Guardians of the Galaxy as i'm halfway through that at the moment. Same as @GazzaGarratt, probably wont be getting Fifa 23 until just after Christmas. I really want to get GoW Ragnorok and Callisto Protocol too, but they will probably be post Christmas purchases, so may pick up a copy of Witcher 3 since i never completed it and the ps5 upgrade is available on the 14th December. Got Cyberpunk to dive into as well so may get a start on that over Christmas 🙂

Will have to try and jump on with you one evening if you're up for it — really been wanting to try the DMZ mode out! I suspect the time limit is to try and push the quick and chaotic type gameplay, but I agree it still seems quite a stretch from the gameplay I've seen.
