BTW the spoter perk highlites it for you. It will be nice and red and very easy to find. Lock on to it, launch and forget. I've also started shooting them down with the LMG which is quite possible so you don't need a laucher if that cramps your still. The Icarus does a good job on that and helicopters and VTOL. Especially with incendiary rounds

I reinstalled the original recently and remembered how much I hated the movement in the first game. Think I preferred Dead Space 2. The original on highest settings still looks great, no need for me to go near this.

Total shit show from Korea last night - thought they could take the game to Brazil and ended up getting spanked right from the off. You can get away with that against the likes of Lincoln and Forest Green but Brazil is a totally different proposition. Lucky it remained 4 and could've even been six at half time.

England really impressed me the other night. Southgate gets them to focus on themselves and be patient. African Champions and broker them down over time to an emphatic finish. Its probably going to take us much longer to break down France but its great going into a game finally feeling the opposition can fear us rather than it be the other way around all the time. Japan just lost steam and clearly the experience does matter at those pivotal moments like Extra Time and Penalties. One thing is for sure though, the draw now gives us some fantastic games left and the fact we're involved gives it a nice little edge to it all. Bring on Saturday!

After playing it now for quite a while I would say UAV only feels really powerful against a team that is all running UAV together so shooting them down feels like a never ending loop. This is where I think the basic casual player just moves on to the next part of the game which is making specific classes. The idea of having a launcher class when needed to switch or more so, a counter UAV as way more effective. I feel like we're getting near a point where most of us play together that some run UAV and some run counter UAV. A week or so ago, a team absolutely nailed us and I actually applauded how they did it - they had multiple UAVs but used counter UAVs immediately when WE got a UAV. It worked an absolute treat and it would probably make the experience even better for people here that haven't been enjoying it as much. I also think the Portable Radar as a Field Upgrade is quite handy when a UAV goes up too. Find a good spot to hold up in when UAV goes up, lay down the portable radar and watch them come round the corner on to the end of your gun.

I did enjoy Guardians! I tried GoW (the first game), on paper it's my sort of game but I struggled to really get going with it unfortunately. I would definately recommend the Witcher 3, would make for a good christmas game as well as there are some snowey / wintery sections as well. The storyline and side quests are brilliant and it's a game I am contemplating playing again with the upgrade coming out. Maybe I will finally get the plat trophy (I think I just needed to use the crossbow to shoot and kill so many people in the face or something like that) 😀

I'm currently going for gold on my final Assault Rifle the M16, I don't know how far down the camo rabbit hole that I'm going to go as I'm not too great with snipers and the launcher challenges terrify me.

Once I've finished up with the battle pass on MW2 which I'm hoping to in the next couple of weeks. I'm planning on reining back the Call of Duty and playing some Batman Arkham Knight and Red Dead Redemption 2 over the Christmas break. I purchased them both in various steam sales but haven't played through either of them yet. Looking forward to it as I enjoyed the first games from both series.

@Greboth Looks like I ended up with specs that were really similar to what you were suggesting, which is quite encouraging given I just took the sales guys word for it and bought his recommendation. I normally don't do that at all lol. Also cool to hear the graphics card is that much more of an improvement over the 480 I didn't research this stuff at all but I'd imagine he's going to see a huge improvement. Personally I think GTA V and Witcher 3 look incredible on what I have now so I'm excited to see what 4x improvement looks like. Couple of other questions though. I can always take out the 6650XT from that system to replace the 480, and buy a much nicer card if he wants it. Are there considerations with how the GPU "fits" with the CPU? The 12400F that this new setup comes with isn't very expensive, so will I not get much bang for the buck with an expensive GPU and limited CPU? I don't know if you're supposed to keep CPU and GPU at similar price/performance levels or if it doesn't matter at all.

I went to Micro Center yesterday and impulse bought this guy. I did some more reading and ultimately decided something that was pre-built was the way to go. It's been 10 years since I built the other one and I just went with convenience this time around. I'm already enjoying not feeling the need to spend hours upon hours researching every stupid little thing, which is basically what I do any time I buy anything. If my son really gets into gaming/PC stuff he can always build his own later on, so I figured this would be a solid intermediate step that would be a good replacement for our house PC if it bites the dust. Or a good hand me down to son #2 and then son #3. The guy at the store was pretty helpful with narrowing down the stuff I needed vs the stuff that doesn't really matter. It's a smaller frame and not much room to add anything else but I don't see myself doing that anyway. I priced out the parts individually this morning and overall it seems like a good deal especially with OS included and a 1 year warranty. Will hopefully seem like a major upgrade in graphics/performance for my son. I don't expect it to blow anyone away but given what he currently plays on is over 10 years old I think he should see a noticeable improvement. I'm starting to look at monitors now. That's good to hear, this was one of those games that looked great and had some real potential only for it to be somewhat lacklustre on launch. A lovely world created but it was pretty empty from what I read. I will give it a go now it's coming to ps plus for sure at some point.

Don't take anything away from Senegal though, the first 30 minutes was as much because of their tactics / game management as well. They set up to defend and then nick a goal, they almost managed that as well. We only went on to a comfortable victory because we got the first goal and they had to attack then and it opened up spaces for us to counter attack. Had Senegal's first goal gone in and then Senegal sat back and defended the rest of the game I am not so sure we would have gone through. That said thrilled with the result, France will be a tough game next but I feel there will be goals at both ends of the pitch.

3-0 England! Solid display overall despite a shaky first 30 minutes. First goal was a clinical move and sweeping finish and the second was a superb breakaway at a crucial time. Third one wrapped it up and we saw out the game comfortably. Also nice to see us being more direct because all that backwards passing in the opening quarter put us into real trouble more than once. Bellingham was immense again and a fine display from Henderson who seems to have been around longer than Madonna! France a week Saturday it is!

A UAV will rarely be up for longer than afew seconds with me in a game, I'm always shooting them down, counter-UAVs too. I've given up on Ghost, it's useless now. What baffles me however is that 99% of the cod community don't shoot them down. They're literally one of the most powerful things in the game and yet people just leave them and get repeatedly killed due to them. The amount of times I join a game mid-match to be greeted by more tinsel in the sky than a Christmas tree is ridiculous. There's a UAV telling everyone where you are, a counter-uav ruining your intel, a fucking jet that's killed you 15 times, but will any of these dumb fucks get a launcher out? Nope. Then again I find that the vast majority of the COD community probably eat soup with a fork so it suits them really.

Just read that they are planning to make the game gapless like God of War, so there won't be any loading screens. I think this would work really well, that way there will be nothing to stop the momentum and pull you out of the game, which would be awesome for a horror game.

It's just a remake? This must be the new buisness model for EA. Make money on old properties. The original trilogy was good overall, but if they're gonna bring this series back, make a new game. I can't really say i'm excited for it either. It'll be a "wait and see" approach for moi. Shame the original developers aren't around anymore to make it. I'd be more hyped if they were.

EA have confirmed at the EA Play that they are doing a remake of the first Dead Space game, amd personally i can't wait! I loved this game and think it could look awesome on the PS5

I'm not that thrilled about this. If the original developers were still around, I'd be more interested. You just know that EA just wants a cash in on another franchise that was good a couple gens ago. Much like the ME collection, I've done it before and i'm not really interested in seeing it again without visceral games at the helm.

I hope not. Reasons. 1. It's EA 2. EA killed Dead Space 3. The original is available and is still good. 4. Whatever happens it will be shit because EA are behind it. 5. Dead Space loot mechanics here we come 😅
