Turns out that Kill Confirmed is in the game. How incompetent do you have to be to not know which games modes are in your own game? 🤦‍♂️

I suspect you'll need at least the PS4 version as myself and a few others still don't have a PS5 👍 Completely understand about the money, it's why we don't jump over straight away leaving anyone behind 😊 I know I'm definitely in the same boat as yourself.

Went to Game and grabbed it. 6-7 games in and I'm happy to say its feeling pretty solid and stable with a feel good factor from what I had in the Beta - if not better. Barely lost a game too which clearly helps but I find the early struggles are based around learning some new maps in the game, which is something that should get better over time anyway. I found using the default set classes that they give you really give you a great start to the game. If you use the M4 class they've created (press R1 before selecting a class), then it will level up the gun for you to customise your own class over time. The 74-U still works well but doesn't feel OP. Better on close quarters games. Just needs some adjusting to the slowness of reloads and activating perks - UAVs and DDOS attacks can take ages for you to put the phone away so be mindful when you select them. Whilst I'm no way near as fast when I used to play as a kid, I feel that because we've learned how to go around CoD maps through shared experiences, its really helped me get off to a flyer. I've never been in a positive KD position, playing the objective in any CoD game this early.

Well I'll soon find out as I'm downloading the game now and I can't even blame alcohol for once 🤪

With all the info to hand why can't they design good quality MP maps, the rest of the game could be great and it can be ruined by bad map design. Maybe they should design MP maps first then fit them to the campaign somehow.

Ah I have to say my first hour on it has been enjoyable, this is the first time I have dropped into COD on launch for quite some time and first impressions are good. There is the usual with COD lots of campers and players who have been ignoring the game mode somewhat but I have been enjoying it. The first few guns I have used have felt punchy and the maps seem decent (I like the one with ruins and the water you can swim round the edge or under the map, means you can be creative with your plan of attack). I did have a bug earlier in that I couldn't launch the 3 missiles / planes?, is the SEA or something like that (can't remember the name of it). I brought up the tablet and it would not let me pick any points, that majorly sucked because I got 7 kills in like 30 seconds (Team death match), got that and could not launch it so had no killstreaks. I tried 4 times and the worst of it is that I could not back out each time so I had to wait for it to timeout (30 seconds a time) so lost 2 minutes of killing. I did finish on 17 kills though so did ok 🙂 But yeah first impressions are positive.

It's too bad you feel that way. I quite like it so far. My team mates have been kill whores and we managed to lose every game but other than that it's been great. Can't even complain about the connection which if you know me, that's an accomplishment right there

@GazzaGarrattare you able to allow someone else to upload stats to the site for clubs? I don't mind helping record them if so

Yeah, EA really have made it a struggle once again as the only option i'd say is for the PS5 players to get the cross-gen version which gives you access to both PS4 and PS5 game. We still have around 6 people playing on PS4s and i'm not leaving any of them behind, its not what we do. As for FIFA23, i'd like to see if we can pull off some different challenges alongside Pro Clubs. Cup runs would help more often, and then there is the Tourneys we create for ourselves on here. Sunday and Monday seem the better nights for regular playing still, although we should always remind people you don't have to show up for both and we can always do ad-hoc nights on other days if we find enough want to play. If we use the Events on FG correctly, we can always check who is coming and if there's at least 4 people it should be a good one. I also need to look at new Achievements for the new game but also need to look at what to do about keeping stats. I don't want it to be a huge overhead for me to do but equally its fun if we do it for each session. When inconsistency of record keping and CBA thoughts to it are creeping in, then it just devalues why we do it. I'd like to spin up the Game Hub page once again properly and also get quite a few Guides out - people still probably don't realise @jordie1892 's guides on builds for FIFA 21 are sitting there with way over 10k hits on each so it shows it helps us and new people coming to FG. FInal ask would be I'd love for us to have a huge squad and now I think subs can work, it means we can have more than 11 sometimes and multiple nights for us all to play together.

Game is definitely less refined than MW2019. Interface is a catastrophic mess - it doesn't even tell you what XP tokens you have currently activated for instance. Everything else seems completely and unnecessarily bloated. This is what happens when you hire TV streaming clowns when it could be done in-house through common sense. The rest of the maps seem absolute garbage - haven't seen a spec of snow or anything - it's all South American/Middle Eastern terrains which fits the campaign but doesn't provide any variety. The weapon unlock and progression system just limits customisation too. Cold War was definitely way more polished than this although not technically as impressive.

Maybe they just wanted to troll and see who would complain. It was listed in all of the data mines. I figured they would know better but I guess not 🙂

Good to hear about KC I had seen the emblem on the gamemode list. Also I'm the same as you, I will buy the game against my better judgement though if it wasn't for the forum Id likely give it a miss at least for a while.

After christmas for me, i have contemplated it but its a money thing. Do we need to get the ps4 or 5 version or the ultimate?

I’ve been wanting to play Nioh 2 but not pay for nioh 2 so I’m pretty happy about that. I feel the same way about the premium subscription. I just don’t use it, not worth the extra money in my opinion.

I had the full ps subscription because I had PS Now before hand but when renewal is due in January I think it unlikely I will renew the full subscription - The premium was meant to have some older games, PS1, PS2 etc and it's been really poor. Surely before announcing it they should have had a timeline of games coming up? The extra is ok I guess but there really isn't much on there that I want to play, I am playing pathfinder kingmaker but after that I think I am done. So back to the basic subscription for me for the new year.

Welcome to the FIFA 23 FG thread — hopefully we'll be able to go through some important subjects, and discuss how we've all been feeling about the game so far! If you have any screenshots or replays you'd like to share of the game already feel free to comment on this thread as I'm sure it'd be great to see some of the amazing goals you guys have already gotten! Another thing I thought would be good to discuss, would be when we want to start the pro Clubs sessions on FIFA 23? I know this can be a bit of a difficult situation with people getting the game at different times, but it would be good to know when the majority can start playing. To understand this I've put together a poll so you can go and vote if you've got the game or when you think you'll be getting it or not. Just so we don't leave anybody behind! First expressions are good, I’m level 22 and just levelled up the m4 to 20, I still don’t understand everything there is to do with guns etc as haven’t played a cod for a good while but slowly getting there, I’m more of a rusher type player so like my smgs so finding one I like is interesting, the maps seem solid so far, the race track one is awesome to run around in but overall a positive start 👍

They removed all of the crack-adled movement mechanics that kept me away from COD for 10 years. It's a bit slower and more tactical now. Probably the truest version of COD that has been released since.

Most of the premium subscriptions just aren't worth it unless you are really into trying out indie games, which I'm sure works for some people. You can definitely save money and then invest it more so on other games that you may want add-ons, DLC, etc. As for this month, its not too bad. Lego games are really underrated. I have Harry Potter and its a great Lego game. I'm sure some will be interested in Nioh 2.

When James@anticonscience mentioned about getting it on Xbox I thought it would be good to get an understanding who is getting MW2 on what platform - this will help us work out if we start Playstation parties or/and look out for game chat parties. I also think we may need to start sharing our Activision gamertags too - if we have enough players, I can start looking at adding a Profile field for everyone at FG if people want that too? For the first time I think we'll start to see alot more crossplay so lets see if we can make that happen with everyone here!! Well after a few games it plays a hell of a lot better than the beta did (connection wise) which I’m so happy about. I got smacked in most games but still had fun and put that down to the fact it’s only the true hardcore playing at the minute.

I used Call of duty way back with Mw2, it was my first multiplayer experience and loved it and that carried on through until advanced warfare then I just stopped playing as life and other things got in the way but this new one has me interested again and life is in a better place and I need a break from Destiny lol or something else to play, my gamer tag is Swainey84, looking forward to jumping back in
