GT7 Winter FG League
Riff Machine and one other reacted to phil bottle for a topic
Just testing the waters 🙂 The game has been out a while now and a few more FGers have it. Is it worth setting up a league like we did for GT Sport? I'm happy to do the schedule etc if we have enough interest. If we do, also think about what night and when. Maybe to start in October... If we did, what day? We started on Tuesday and moved to Thursdays previously. And if we have nonUK drivers it might be best to switch to a weekend... Anyway, lemme have your thoughts 👊2 points -

Like you have to ask if I’m in. I’m pretty flexible on timing and days so will leave that up to people who aren’t.2 points -

Pre-order currently £47 on Amazon as opposed to £65 on PS Store Gotham Knights (PS5) : Amazon.co.uk: PC & Video Games WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK Buy Gotham Knights (PS5) from Amazon.co.uk. Everyday low prices on a huge range of consoles, games and accessories. Good deal but there is no way I am taking the plunge unless I see some reviews.2 points -

Old school wrestling games
J4MES OX4D and one other reacted to Riff Machine for a topic
I also remember the first time I played the original NES Wrestlemania game... and how utterly disappointed I was at such a young age with it. Only 6 wrestlers to choose from, gameplay was crap, It took forever to actually pin your opponent. Typical LJN "quality" at the time, that they carried on with Wrestlemania Challenge which swapped the perspective, but still had horrible gameplay. I think with the earlier NES/SNES/Genesis wrestling games, the only one I played a ton was Royal Rumble. There was nothing special about it. The gameplay was fairly unremarkable but man, my Brothers and I would be rocking that one damn near every time we we're together in the TV room. I know Super Wrestlemania and Raw all had the same graphic/gameplay style as well, but there was just something about RR that just made it stand out.2 points -

I really do. Food is just awesome. A big fat steak = awesome. Chinese food = awesome. Sticky toffee pudding = awesome. Chips are just the best. You can have them with pretty much anything. So they're SUPER AWESOME AMAZING. Although mushrooms, courgettes and aubergines can fuck right off. Minging shite.1 point

Tea or Coffee?
BrettyBoy reacted to GazzaGarratt for a topic
Which one is better, FG decides! Tea or Coffee? I've also added Water and Alcohol for the drinkers that don't have warm drinks, you heathen lot. Tea all the way for me. Coffee stinks. It's just like drinking a cigarette for me. Or black tar. Whichever makes you feel better. Not too fussy about teabags either, apart from flavoured tea and Earl Grey which is basically drinking perfume. Yuk.1 point -
A comparison: Diablo 2 vs. Diablo 3
Riff Machine reacted to VGon_BGon48 for a topic
I've played both but I've been more invested in diablo 2 the slower pace seems to work for me and that customization and build diversity is better I feel diablo 2 and path of exile are similar1 point -

A comparison: Diablo 2 vs. Diablo 3
Riff Machine reacted to JasonHill for a topic
Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 are both good, I preferred D2 because I appreciate the complexity (I play PoE now). But that's personal preference, but sometimes I do miss the beautiful D3 gameplay though. They both have plenty to offer. PD: I've been playing D2R for 3 month. The game continues to be updated and improved. Ladder season one took awhile to get here, although it's available now. New patch changes characters and creates more build diversity.1 point -
Just wanted to say a massive thank you to @GazzaGarrattand everyone at FG for the surprise parcel posted through my front door containing GT7. Like Lee mentioned, my playtime has been massively reduced thanks to the arrival of my son in my life. I wouldn’t wish things any different but things are not the same as before in many ways so it is so difficult to play up to date games with everybody nowadays. Hopefully I will see you all back on online real soon and I really can’t express enough thanks for everything you guys and girls do 🙂1 point

I had Attitude on Dreamcast and the only good thing about it was the huge visual step up at the time. Other than that, the controls were clunky as hell and the atmosphere was really dead. Smackdown really brought everything to the table but the forward roll to get back to feet made it lose some realism factor although it kept the fights flowing.1 point -

I remember when Attitude released. A bunch of my friends and I created our own promotion and our one friend was basically the Vince McMahon of the whole thing, minus the creepy rape allegations. The controls and were so terrible and executing mvoes were such a pain in the ass. I loved it when smackdown finally released. Yukes are the fucking kings when it comes to making a good wrestling game.1 point -

Forever Gaming's 'Feel Good' Fund

Well, hello there! 😄 It has definitely been far too long for an update that always tries to deliver a Feel Good smile. In all honesty I did intend to do this post a few weeks ago, but time got the better of me before my holiday. Nevertheless, quite a few people have started to receive a few things in the past few months and i'll try and least some of them below so we can all see how we're helping each other with the FGFGF. Connor @JamaicanSteve has had a right ol' challenge in getting into more games, especially whilst he's been trying to find a job for a while, so we're happy that a copy of MW2019 was sent across to him to keep his spirits up and hopefully turned the corner with the job front too! 😄 . Whilst we're on the MW2019 revival across FG as we wait for the new one in October it was time that Gary @techno and Martin @Findmartin enjoyed a copy of MW2019 too to help them get involved in more gaming nights with everyone. Feel Good moments are always good when you can give gifts people unexpectedly and these two definitely deserve some Feel Good lifting too. That being said, Jordie @jordie1892 has been a class act supporting FIFA nights and helping with tournaments along the way. All the while having to deal with job interviews in a stressful place. A game he's always wanted to try was The Hunt: Showdown and now he can with a copy going to him 😄 Nick @Bluebear has been a fantastic FGer over the years and has always been trying to support the Destiny nights when he can. He's never received something from the FGFGF and its about time he did. So he can enjoy some more FG gaming nights, he's now the proud owner of Gran Turismo 7. Staying with the racing, I know since the new baby that Jason @JBR-Kiwi has had it not always his way so I'm pleased to say that he has also received a fine copy of GT7. I hope its well received and gives FG plenty more drivers to anger Greebs on the racetrack 😅 You might've also noticed that we have a certain, record breaking FG meet up In November (if you haven't, then you really need to get your name down here. Its absolutely incredible to think we're going to be getting some of the American FGers over, and we're super grateful they're coming. So much so, we're making sure they don't have to pay accommodation costs at all and if we can help with the travelling, then that's what we're going to do with @Misneach_ , @TurboR56Mini and @RenFengge. To help another American with an FG Feel Good smile, Hector @Horrible_Hector has received a voucher to get the Cult of the Lamb, something that will hopefully be right up his street. Times can be difficult whether we know it or not and I hope these little moments can keep the spirits up through the hard times. @Leeesh13 finally received his FG award, only 4-5 months later than expected due to South African postal services! But what he wasn't expecting was a special FG mug with it to keep him topped up with the gaming juices he needs to have more gaming nights with FG. To round off the little gifts from the summer months, Harold @Spacedeck has been doing his best helping others with PCs and to aide his challenges at home, especially with his space and organisation, we've managed to send him an awesome Nintendo Switch Cube storage box. We hope we can do more things like this in the coming months too as there's lots of ways we can help give people that Feel Good feeling. With all of this going on, we have more to help, more to try and find ways to give that FG Feel Good factor out so watch this space. We'll also likely try and do a monthly raffle for the rest of 2022 with vouchers for the rest of the year if the FGFGF pot allows us to do so. A huge THANK YOU for the few FGers out there helping out with an FG membership that is an amazingly easy way for us to keep finding ways to help more FGers - If you want to help other FGers Feeling Good via the FGFGF on a regular basis moving forward, please check them out here. (Moved to the retro section as it felt a better fit) Tbh, the first one I loved was Wrestlemania on the Mega Drive. I absolutely loved it for the Ultimate Warrior. One of my school mates was amazing at Smackdown so I used to watch some gameplay of his but I was never really any good at the later games unfortunately. I did enjoy how fleshed out Smackdown was though. Lots of things to do on it.1 point -
