Downloaded this lat night, looking forward to giving it a go, its only about a 5 hour playthrough so a nice small game for a change lol

The original had such a unique graphical style at the time that really made it stand out from the crowd. The "remake" made that style look far too realistic. By that, I mean the color palettes were too dark and didn't have that vibrant cel shaded look like the original. Shame. Here's hoping whoever tries to remake it again gives it the treatment it deserves.

Lol It doesnt go live until later this year if i remember rightly, so i cant imagine us hearing anything about it until September at the earliest.

Maybe I will get that game eventually.

We have reached the end of the current modpack so the server will be changing over to a new pack. As it's a co-operative quest based pack I am posting up and will put an event up for anyone that wants to join at the beginning. The event will be 20:00 Monday 25 July and the server won't be available until this time. What modpack is it? Cuboid Outpost Luxury edition (version 1.1.2) https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/cuboid-outpost-le What’s the story of ‘Cuboid Outpost’? You’re stranded on a barren planet, life as you know it has come to an abrupt end, and you need to recreate civilization. There are a few twists and turns along the way of course! You start off at Cuboid Oupost 42, with minimal supplies but some decent equipment, only to find out that the Science Division at Cuboid Corp have accidently started a chain reaction that very shortly will bring about the total annihilation of your home planet. Effectively, you’re standard! Luckily there was just enough time for your supervisor to put together a digital survival guide to help you survive, restart life, and even travel to new dimensions. What sort of modpack is it? A beginner to intermediate tech pack with a lot of quests, that are shared and completed co-operatively, for those looking for something not too hard or expert. The pack features a slightly different start to most packs and has a skyblock like experience without the skyblock. How to install the modpack? Unfortunately most modpacks can no longer be download using MultiMC so need to be downloaded through the Curseforge launcher. The Curseforge launcher though, like MultiMC, does take a lot of the hassle out of modded like installing multiple versions of Minecraft, installing the right version of Forge etc. Installing packs is reasonably self-explanatory; on the link above click the orange install button which will install the Curseforge launcher. Once installed, select Minecraft and search for the modpack "Cuboid outpost" and make sure you install the luxury version. It should take a few minutes to download the pack. Before launching it, click the settings icon in the bottom left corner, select minecraft from the list on the left and increase the allocated memory to 6Gb (6,144 Mb) at minimum but recommended is 8Gb (8,192Mb). Hovering over the modpack you should be able to select play, this should open the Minecraft launcher and you need to click the play button in the middle. Any problems, I'm happy to help or go through it on Discord or even make a video for installing packs. This is a relatively small modpack but will still take a minute or 2 to load it. So Playstation will be launching a free loyalty programme later this year with rewards like digital collectables, psn games and psn credit. I'm gonna pick this one up tomorrow. Since @Rumelylady and myself are cat people, this should be a fun one to play through.

Thanks for sharing this @Antpool84 ! I love the concept of stuff like this. Similar to our own FG Achievements here, I always think stuff like this helps to makes games more fun and for us that are less creative, it helps with goals and objectives whilst playing. Sorry to seem abit dumb on this one though....what do we actually do to 'activate' it. I can't see where we can make this live or where it shows when we're online. The PSN website doesn't really make that clear and I haven't seen anythin pop whilst we've been online over the past few weeks. Help please if anyone can?! 😅

Afternoon all! A new story thread for us to keep everyone updated on all of our escapades and laughs along the way. Finally managed to get onto the DayZ PS4 server on Sunday and it was a nice surprise to see so many of us on it at the same time checking it out @ChaosGladiator @jordie1892 @Nutcuttlit @Luseth . I started my spawn in Novyshovo, or whatever its called. The furthest South West on the main land I believe. Sebba started to make his way to me, but within a few houses I felt pretty good finding some half decent loot, a full police outfit that always looks cool and is well insulated, and a couple of sharp things to bop Zombies - a Scythe being the one I ended up using first! For once, I felt confidently that I could meet Sebba at Msta, slightly North of my current destination. Probably should've waited for the truck, but anyhow, as I made my way I got caught up in a few Zombie fights. Luckily only got cut once and managed to find Seb's mahoosive truck which we then took to a solid car to swap materials and help go get Jordie considering the biggest vehicle in the game couldn't fit more than 2 people in it - FML 😅 After collecting Jordie and then Matt, we made our way to check out what the vendor looked like as Nutty was coming from the opposite side of the island at the same time. We got there and it was a like a gold mine! Anything you could need is in there. I think I like @jordie1892 's thoughts that we keep this locked down, and only really use it much later if it gets a successful turn out with FGers and also randomers. It made me really want to get going into the North West Airfield for more loot and kicking some zombies ass! However.... It had been raining - tons - since we left Electra where Jordie was, so we needed to get warm and dry our clothes. I rung my top out but saw Jordie next to the barrel fire and doing it that way. Seemed to make sense. I could just stand there and over time i'll get dry. Or so I thought. I stood close to it for a minute and then walked around for a moment but was still wet, so back to the barrel I went. Next thing I knew though, my screen went black. I thought the server needed a reset and we all got kicked off....until Jordie and Matt are laughing their tits off as i'm, apparently, on the floor, knocked out with my foot now dangled in the barrel. I have literally no idea what is going on. Everyone is laughing at my still body and i'm looking at a continued black screen. They start pouring water over me, jabbing me with meds, but no response. I start seeing a faint light but falling unconscious again. Next thing I know talk about my clothes and handcuffs comes out. This was what I couldn't see... I have to say, I'm just glad my videogame self was packing below, because clearly I was tied up, half naked and somehow losing life whilst lolz continued. No idea how this happened. Must've been getting too hot close to the fire but couldn't work it out. After 5 minutes, the server did restart, but I was then found back at the coast, so it clearly killed my half naked body through my left foot burning. I still had time to race into the nearest town, drink some water from a bottle, get sick, and then cut myself so much from Zombie fighting with said water bottle and died a second time. I'm now back in a coastal town, on top of a freight with zombies around me - again. Good, solid first day of Survival on the server with FG as per usual! 😅

This was a stylish game back in the day and it's getting a deserved remake this year

You’re always whitelisted….well except the times I forget when resetting the server but lets gloss over that. You better get on early then as Matt @Misneach_ will have dug a huge hole, jankily built every machine in said hole and have the pack completed in roughly 27 minutes 😂

Need to find time to read this but haven't really got that time yet. I think this is definitely interesting though considering how many reports show things more in a negative way than a positive way. Nice to see some positivity surrounding video games in the media.

I hope it's similar to how nintendo does it with their eshop. Didn't Microsoft try something similar to this that just fell flat? I remember something about using gamer score points to discount or purchase games. Maybe i'm wrong. Sony kind of needs something to spice up their store front to be honest. I hate the UI on the PS5 for it. I wish they overhaul the whole damn thing.

That's really cool. There used to be only a few of us that played PC but that's really changed in the last year or two. There's quite a big gang now. Also, I would say pretty much all of us have every game you mentioned one way or another 😁

haha certainly! I have wanted to get into PC gaming more for the vast amount of games and the sheer amount of choice out there. I used to PC game when I was younger but mainly simulation and action games etc but lately the whole console thing has just declined in my interest with the exception of some games I play with the FG crew. Game I want to play: Valheim, Fallout, Diablo 3 (and 4 on release), sea of thieves, rust, day-z and a steam wishlist thats growing by the day. There are also some games like horizon 4 etc but I want so decent open world strategy type games to play on a night now. Games where I can feel progression and work for status etc. **Edit** removed spec to post in HW section 🙂 It should be delivered this week so I can get rolling on the weekend, plus its payday Friday for extras!

Absolutely gutted. If the original was already out, then why they didn't do a proper remaster is beyond me. I know people that enjoy a good single player RPG would've loved this game too. Better to get the PC original version at 2 squids atm.

Sadly it appears to be a shoddy remake. Getting destroyed in the Steam reviews.

Seems the remake is disappointing according to a few early reviews which is a shame. I've watched quite a bit of gameplay and I can safely irrespective of anything else that this game has the worst screen tearing I have ever seen in a videogame. Almost every scene is plagued with it and this review shows it well Here's some prime examples

OMG. This game when it came out on the original Xbox was one of the greatest cel shader games i've ever played. The story was absolutely brilliant throughout and I was totally expecting sequels to follow and left disappointed that they didn't do any. I would absolutely pick this up again. Its one of those games that doesn't get old due to how it was originally made. The gunplay was so good back then i really hope it doesn't lose anything buying being remade for this current gen.
