What a few days of matches that was! An incredible Super Sunday which no one expected, as goals just flew in from anywhere and everywhere across the pitch. Gary Goals @LordBaguette could've sat on his phone all night with one hand and still scroed a bunch, just like his first one 😅 A crazy and dominant spell of 5 wins in a row, adding to the opening win from the end of last Monday, meant that we had a chance to secure the Division 2 title with a game in-hand. Obviously, thats when a few draws came into play, even a last minute winner from new signing Matt @Luseth was ruled out which would've been a 5-4 win. Eventually the cup was sealed with a final win. MNF was then virtually a role reversal, which we could've seen coming since it was the first time since new-stats era that we had took this team into Division 1. Some batterings commenced and even when we didn't deserve to be losing by too many, the FIFA script set in quickly and made sure 4,5, 6 goals went against us. Even the AI were giving away not one, but two penalties in the same game. Whilst we persisted through it all, it just wasn't our night. Yep, still enjoyable and sometimes you have to put it down to just the luck wasn't with us. We used to have these nights on lots of games and we would always come back for more punishment next time round 😄 What was great to see was the persistence held through the night to stay on for one more game and grind out a result. The last game was our first back in DIvsion 2 and we convincingly won 2-1 to start the next season off on a good note. Overall stats below. That was tough last night 😄 Not sure if part of it was just we all kept getting in each other's way and that as well. The last game (admittedly it was a division lower) was much better but I think we were down to 5 or 6 players? Nay mind, was enjoyable! I think someone mentioned that a few of you are playing modern warfare at the moment, I will have to wait till payday else my wife will kick me up the arse but I might look at getting it in a few weeks to give me something else to game with you lot on (might hit my targets on there better than I did last night 😄 )

They're also about £50-70 now and still cost less than £1 to make!

I think what's worse is that the teams bring out 3 new kits a season now. Back when I was younger 1 kit would usually last 2 seasons. I dunno how families with multiple kids afford it. Shorts are like 30 quid and socks 15 as well!

Not sure if you guy's ever played it, but Alpha Protocol to me was the best James Bond game (that wasn't a Bond game). If they made something like that I'd be quite happy 🙂 Though what they could do with today's tech and funding could be something special ^_^ Similarly the splinter cell games seem to have died off / gone quiet in recent years.

The version they are releasing was actually finished in 2008 and intended for Xbox Live Arcade but red tape with the IP holders stalled the entire thing for almost 15 years. It's been their loss for an eternity as people have by gagging for this for many years, even long before the original Perfect Dark appeared on the 360. It's such a shame the James Bond licence is so under-used in gaming - the owners are really missing out especially when there is a game ready to go right under their noses!

I agree with the recommendations for God of War, it's an incredible game. It's one of the last PS4 games I've played a few years ago before I left the platform for the Switch and Series X. The valkyrie fights are intense; you will die a lot but the challenges are fair and are always rewarding. Loved platinum-ing the game so much.

It's my first time finding out that the people behind this game aren't the same ones as the Arkham series of games — I think I now know why you guys are apprehensive. I am now too hehe. But yeah, I'm optimistic too. Arkham Knight was pretty awesome but I hated that you needed to complete the game on hard to see the actual ending. Requiring the player to play the game again for the full story is bad enough for me, but having them play hard mode to see what an ending that's supposedly already served upfront is, I think, bad design. Don't get me wrong, if you enjoyed it, that's awesome — no issues with that of course! Just that after that it felt like there's a big gaping hole for good DC games they need to fill up so they bring back the goodness of Arkham Asylum and City. Like all of you guys, I'm hoping it's this one. I have already pre-ordered it so there's no backing out. 🤣

And Radahn is dead! I think that was the most fun I've had with a boss battle so far in this game. Great encounter!

Over 6 months late I can't see too many people returning for this as the damage has been done. It's also more to save their own skin legally that to redeem themselves with the community. Despite several major u-turns on game design and philosophy, they are still determined with Specialists and will probably use game as a testing platform to see how it can be implemented for the foreseeable. Pity because the new developers working under Zampella know exactly what's required to make a BF title but they are still heavily in EA's pockets.

This was actually my wife's suggestion, but buy a plain T and get some Iron On Transfers. £6.87 for 3 Crests and do it yourself. Only 6 months late shhhhhh nobody will notice. More like nobody will be left for it or comeback to it. I'm a COD guy, but it's a shame BF has went the way it has. I really don't disrespect or wish any hate on it. I like the healthy competition, some of the best Cods, Halos and BFs came about from everyone competing and putting their best work forward in rivalry. People were saying but probably mostly hoping that this current Battlefield was going to be a COD killer and smash it to the ground. It was definitely not at all. Cod is literally killing itself without any outside interference. Cods biggest weakness is itself. They always manage to make it happen or turn it around even with the most horrendous launches. Vanguards had hundreds of bugs and glitches, some of them vastly wrecking the gaming experience and making it borderline unplayable. Camo challenges not tracking, multiple versions of lag and some other despicable things. Somehow they managed to sort a lot of it out. Maybe 2-3 months or so down the line after launch.

I never played it, but it sounds cool. The Splinter Cells were very good on the original Xbox, I remember being amazed by the shadowing and graphics back then. In terms of Bond, N64 Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies on PS1 and The World Is Not Enough on the XBOX I think. That's the ones I've played. All pretty decent, mainly because of the Bond Franchise and story kept it interesting and playable.

Was looking forward to getting the new Spurs home shirt for this season coming up but with that £75 price tag I might just have to buy a white t-shirt and scribble a badge on! Very disappointed but I guess that's how they make their money... I just don't understand how people are expected to be able to afford this?

I get what you mean, for it's time it's incredible. After all those years of consoles and graphics it's going to look and feel old. A remake is needed for sure, the nostalgia alone will get people's wallets out. Yeah start remaking Zelda and it's printing legal money imo.

I played it recently ^_^ Still have a working N64 and whilst it's fun it obviously feel's very dated. I'm incredibly surprised it has not had a remake in this day and age, feels like a cash cow if ever there was one. Almost like a remake of Ocarina of time would be as well.

I was going through older posts and I came across this. And thought, you know what, jumping was indeed a simple but major contribution to the game that made FromSoftware casuals like me have a fighting chance with the game. It really adds so much. This video should be proof (shamelessly sharing my Malenia boss fight clip here) POTENTIAL SPOILER though for people who do not want to see Malenia or some minor dialogue from her. It's such an awesome way to close the gap then follow it up with 2-3 hits. Plus if you're locked on to the enemy and the enemy is attacking, there's a tendency for the camera to spin, you're still locked on and you would most likely hit, but the enemy will miss since the camera/view has already spun. Anyway, I love this game a lot. It's my first proper Souls game and granted I am overleveled at this point (165 IIRC?) and I'm using an OP summon, I still enjoyed it immensely and thought it was a challenge 😄

Hey there, FG friends! Is anybody else interested or planning to play Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising? I have been waiting for this! Of course, the main attraction is Eiyuden Chronicle which comes out next year. Deemed as a successor to the Suikoden series, the guys behind the beloved JRPG series formed their own studio and launched the development of the game with a successful Kickstarter campaign. They now have the funding and we'll just need to wait for the main game to come out next year. Rising is a prequel game and combines elements of platform and city building. So far, it's fun. You'll probably dislike it a bit if you hate fetch quests, which the game is mostly built upon (for the first hour, at least) but the game is reminiscent of simple PS1 JRPGs and I think that's the main appear for me. It's currently on Game Pass (I know there are lot of Xbox gamers here, too) but it's also available on Steam/PC, PS4/PS5, and Switch. So far, it's only digital, but if a physical edition comes out, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. XD

Saw The Accountant yesterday on Netflix after work. Rewatched it, more like. Really like it. I hate Ben Affleck for backing away from the Batman movie projects, I thought he was good in the role but outside of that he seems pretty good in these oddball roles. The last time I really admired his work was as far back as Good Will Hunting. Highly recommending The Accountant if you want something easy to watch (I mean, no Christopher Nolan mental feats like Interstellar or Tenet hehe), it's pretty enjoyable.

Yeah for the most part, most people have bought it years ago and enjoyed it. It's truly an epic game. Might take some time to complete it, but well worth the time. It's possible to hardcore binge and blast through it. Players like yourself and I that are very limited on playtime might want to play something else when we get the chance. God of War is definitely a masterpiece.

God of war looks very much a me game, i have tried to play it twice and bounced off it. will add it to the library but cant see me ever getting through it! It’s not a bad month mind, just think anyone that wanted to play god of war probably already has it?

I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. I do hope it's good, but have a feeling it may not be all it's cracked up to be. Hopefully, I'm proven wrong.

I have to agree it will definitely be a different experience to the previous Arkham games (and i'm sure i have heard rumour of a new entry into the Arkham line of games 🤔) but this will satiate my need for a good superhero game until then - I may need to replay Arkham City or Knight lol

I've been craving a new game like this as I'm a huge fan of the Arkham games - they just ooze atmosphere and capture the Batman style perfectly. This one I am a bit iffy about because the developer has a pretty limited track record and wasn't the one behind the original Batman titles. This team did work on Origins and also did a Wii port for Arkham City but aside from that it's been mostly DLC and assisting other developers. They may be biting off more than they can chew with this and the publisher also doesn't have a good grasp of the gaming industry either. Will definitely keep my eye on it but anyone expecting something to the tune of Rocksteady's classics may be sorely disappointed.

Finally watched No time to die, thought as it was on Amazon I'd sit through it, wish I hadn't bothered. The Daniel Craig era to me has been awful but this was one film too far, not only a bad Daniel Craig film a bad film fullstop, one of the worst ever. The film is way too long, nothing much happens and Freddie Mercury is possibly the worst bond baddie of all time. Thank fuck they killed bond, if things don't improve moving forward then they may as well let the franchise die than churn out shit like this.

Superb overview. One thing that always gets overlooked is the joining of other members. Bloodborne didn't quite get that right in my opinion. It would be amazing to explore and seamlessly go into Dungeons as a group. Looked like 3 in the trailer but interested to know what the max party size is if anyone knows?

I saw a rumor on another forum, sorry it slipped my memory and I can't quote it at the moment, but it was rumored this was coming to Switch's N64 lineup for the subscription package... but then, somebody said it probably won't happen due to licensing issues. Is this "licensing issue" because Xbox have the rights to it? And I play on both but I would love to play this on Xbox instead. 😄 (for the record, I missed out because I never had an N64)

Incredibly easy to get running and what a fine experience. Such a tragedy that this never made it to the market because of petty financial squabbles. If you press R1 on the controller, you can also have the classic visuals which is a nice touch. Not sure what happened with the Alec Trevelyan character model (maybe a placeholder) but everything else looks pretty spot on and nicely crafted.
