  1. I've been threatening to do this for a while without any real conviction, but I'm going to now push to get this organised! I realise we've already got the Wales trip this year so I will try my damned hardest to make this as affordable and accessible for everyone as I can! What is it? A day out together for everyone in FG and any family they would like to invite. Primarily I'm thinking of Milton Keynes for this due to the central location for most, and also because of the available amenities in the local area. Go karting: I'd like to organise a go karting race for us all (including family members) so we can enjoy a community GTA races event where someone will probably end up with a broken leg, or rammed up the arse (sorry in advance Phil). We can hire karts which are appropriate for the skill level and age range. Picnic: After racing it'd be nice to organise a family picnic with everyone, maybe have a couple of portable BBQs, some football, Frisbee, rounders etc. Essentially a bring your own food and drinks type thing and maybe we can mix and match. When are we thinking? Between the months of June and August. What next? If you're interested please can you 1. Let me know which month suits bets 2. If you'd like to bring family with an idea of numbers 3. If you'd prefer just to do racing whilst others do picnic afterwards that would be fine too. 4. If you can make Milton Keynes Once I've got an idea of numbers etc on the above I'll start organising!

  2. Just picked this up, there’s a few games I’ve always wanted to play in there and well worth it just for the cause alone.

  3. It's mainly all the YouTube people who make it worse, they just buy everything and show it off etc for more views and content. I totally get it's their income. I just refuse because we are literally paying like £60 for a game. Some people must spend a small fortune on extra cosmetics. The gaming companies take advantage of this tho.

  5. I'm interested! Can probs do anytime except the first two weeks of August. Would just be me. Happy for a picnic type thing as well. MK is a 20min drive, so is perfect for me

  6. Tidgney reminded me of the following: If you enter the Manufacturers series you get given a Gr.4 and Gr.3 car for the duration that you can use for any race in the game. I chose Aston Martin.

    Beginner artwork

I'm not an artist in the slightest but I do have multiple attempts at learning to draw with various sources so have an idea on the basics that I myself can't apply very well. It looks good but I will ask if behind the face, did you deconstruct and then construct the face again, or just try to copy it as it it? Also I wouldn't copy another image if you can help it, use it as a reference but make it your own. After seeing this thread, I decided to start once again my quest in learning to draw. So firstly I'd say if you haven't considered videos/courses/tutorials before, take a good look at Drawabox, something that was born from Reddit I believe https://www.reddit.com/r/ArtFundamentals/ Drawabox | A free, exercise based approach to learning the fundamentals of drawing DRAWABOX.COM A free, exercise based approach to learning the fundamentals of drawing. We tackle drawing in a logical, analytical fashion inspired by concept artists and industrial designers, focusing on technical skills... Over the years I've also watched a guy called Jazza (formally DrawWithJazza) on YouTube, his channel has changed now from the traditional art, so I don't watch it much anymore. I've purchased some of this material which I'll share with you, you might find the anatomy and faces books useful. There is also an app in the folder which is a games app. It gives you ideas and one of the best features of the app will tell you something random to draw. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AuhNxfYdxlCCulCHycY6sl4DT0cw?e=o7thCb

I think it’s more points for Haas than the last 2 years combined! Magnussen was definitely the stand out for me, I don’t know how he didn’t get driver of the day. Overall though some terrible luck for Red Bull and brilliant luck for Merc. Merc were way off the pace though, being 40 seconds or so off the leader at the safety car. I hope they can get on top of the car and make it a 3 way battle but that’s a lot of time to gain. It was great seeing Ferrari on the podium again. All those years watching Schumacher I can still hum along to the Italian national anthem 😄

  10. I'm just waiting for the 'I BORT EVERY CAR IN THE GAEM AND NOW I WINE EVERY RACE' videos. Doesn't seem like GT has much of a corksocking shill culture though unlike the likes of Call of Duty but Polyphony Digital may have to look at getting some recognised content creators onside. If they really wanted to attach a further monetisation model on their $70 live service then they could've done it very differently. It's made worse by the fact the model they've chosen stinks of EA, 2K and Square Penix. They could've easily released car packs as DLC with new tracks for starters or simply exclusive standalone cards for between £1 and £5. Monetising credit just doesn't sit well with me and this is not what you'd expect from a Playstation exclusive.

Called up a week before the season and finishes 5th... kMag! Neat to see some new folks on the podium, when was the last 1/2 Ferrari finish?

  12. This ^^ Also some people have disposable income to burn it seems. Or they just really want certain cosmetics. I on the other hand can't afford MTX, so I just avoid them.

  13. Ah mtx debate, I'll say it again while ever people buy into this the companies will take the piss. If they sell nothing surely it will stop 🤷 or prices will come down drastically.

Eh, it's all good. I don't care either way. I also like that the Italian stallions are back in the running. I was getting tired of hearing the fan base bitch and moan. I think the Merc is still top tier they are just no longer OP. We are so used to them being OP that we forgot what competition felt like. Got a taste of that last year but new cars, new tech, new era. It should shape up to be a good year. I will be surprised if Merc is not in top 3. They are still not at mid field or back of pack levels. They also have incredible drivers.

  15. They didn’t universally slash prize money but they did rebalance it. Prior to the update a number of 1 and 2 lap races paid higher than 5 or 10 lap races. So they reduced the short races and buffed the higher. It does mean a reduction in how much you could earn per hour so while the rebalancing I agree the payouts are still low. I also agree with Yamauchi about not playing the same race over and over to farm credits. The problem comes that after the cafe books the amount of credits you can earn does reduce. So with the FOMO with the limited offers, or having a £20mill car so early in the games life, it is going to push people towards micro transactions. On the balance though, the games has been out 2 weeks so I find moaning they can’t buy all the most expensive cars already ridiculous. There should be an element of earning credits and having to think about what cars you buy, especially the exotic and legendary ones. This is on top of that the numbered GT series have always been about the grind. Buying some second hand shitbox, racing it until you can modify it to do some more races and afford a slightly less shitbox. Rinse and repeat until you can eventually buy a shiny new car. Forza Horizon is a perfect example of going to far the other way. You get given so many free cars and money that you can get gifted the best cars almost instantly. GT sport also fell in to this somewhat with the gift car for the daily marathon. There’s also the element that people seem to focus on the game is complete when they finish the cafe books. Ignoring all the additional races the are available at the tracks. So in summary, the payouts are a little low and there isn’t as many races as I thought there would be. But I think they’re a knock off a point or 2 off the rating rather than the bombing it’s had and overall I’d still recommend the game to anyone that’s a fan of the series.

  16. I agree with regards to the combat. I'm at the last main quest right now and I've finished all the side quests save for a couple hunting grounds. I found the staff, which was really good in HZD , felt so weak in this one. My biggest gripe about combat though is why is there no block button? The dodge is really bad and enemy projectiles seem to just track to where you are at times that make it pointless. And, yes, certain enemies had a common habit of spamming the hell out of projectiles to make it almost impossible to get up. I did enjoy it for the most part, but I also feel the first one was better. The story for this really went fucky at times and it really sucked me out of it.
