Remember this? 😄 Honestly for a 10 year old boy that monitor is more than enough. However, there are a few ways of looking at this. The first being that you can buy him a nice fancy monitor, but he won't be able to use it to its full potential as his PC won't be powerful enough. In order to get the most out of it, you're looking at a £1500+ PC at minimum. Then factor in the £600+ or so for the monitor itself, and you're very easily staring down a £2.5k bill. Before all the accessories. That said, you can buy a nice fancy monitor with all the bells and whistles with a view of upgrading the graphics card in the PC (the graphics card is what puts out all the pretty images, the stronger they are, the more images and better images they can put out) and use it as it is now, however it'll only be a matter of time before he goes "mum I want to play at 4k" and then you're looking at insane costs. You can very easily spend £2500 on a graphics card alone, which is like buying an engine for a car, and then still needing the rest of the car. If this is a one-time purchase that's got to last him a few years, then it wouldn't hurt to maybe spend a bit extra to make sure that's at least one component that won't need upgrading for a while. Tell us how much you'd like to spend, and more importantly how much space you have, and let's go from there.

One final update on the big charity walk 😊 After getting in all cash donations I am proud to say that i destroyed my target of £500 and raised a total of £732 for the Alzheimers Society. Thank you for all your support with doing this, the 14 hours and 37 miles were totally worth it for this truly worthy cause 😊😊😊

So, I like to shit on Amazon as much as I can but the game developer or studio working on it (I know this is Amazon's own game studio) forecasted the resources poorly for launch. It's not like every single Amazon server in the world is dedicated to hosting this one game.

Seems most people are struggling with long queues - the game is sitting at just 51% positive and multi-billionaires Amazon have clearly not provided the most basic server structure to support such a game. Absolutely ridiculous. At least that's another game I can happily put on my blacklist now.

I play on ps4 and I play destiny 2,genshin impact, mhw and a lot more!

@Emma McManus The good news is that they're both MSI monitors so you can see the comparison on their website: https://uk.msi.com/Monitors/Products#?tag_multi_select=41529&compare=T3B0aXgtRzI0QzQ=,T3B0aXgtRzI0MVZD First off, the one he sent through is ever so slightly better (Refresh rate is 144Hz on the one you shared, the one Didds shared is 75Hz so not a huge difference really to a 10 year old). Secondly, i've noticed my monitors are ever so slightly different (mine are MAG241CR rather than G241VC) so I can only apologise as they looked identical. Mine is slightly better than the one you've shared but the price goes above 200. Nearer to 250 actually. I know I managed to wait for a sale and get one of mine for £189. The other was £40 more so you can see they fluctuate in price. If you get the one you shared for a decent price then I don't think it matters much between them IMHO 😄 MSI are a great make so you'll be set with whichever ones you get...just be careful if you surf for a better price, check the letters (just like I didn't 🤦‍♂️) as you can see there's tiny diffferences in letters as well as specifications.

Last night I was on a total high that is got it sorted, and of course I still am but because it’s something I’m so unfamiliar with and even the process of upgrading etc I’m allowing that email to wreck my head!! Regarding my budget are we taking about for the monitor?? Because I’ve already bought that PC last night, so it’s signed, sealed, delivered, arriving here in about a week!! Lol. But yes I do want a gaming PC that will last him at least 2-3 years before I need to spend a fortune upgrading it. 😫 The monitor id like to get for £200 MAX. im getting totally ahead of myself now, but say in 2-3 years are we looking at £2500 to upgrade Danny to next “best” thing?? Nicking just socks is a rookie move. What you should actually do is just nick a couple of odd socks. That way it will send them mental trying to find the other socks to pair them up.

Game releases today - doesn't look too bad actually and is only £35 with no subscription model either. Plays a bit like Valheim with a less colourful aesthetic. Not sure if I'll grab it but I can see the game being fairly popular and another potential nail in the WOW coffin.

I think I've personally found in FG that this place is full of people who don't judge you based on a few moments of madness. What you're going through is clearly quite profound and it must be incredibly tough. Concentrate on your wellbeing and know that you have a community of good people who are here for you.

I think it shows how much of a man you are mate, to write something that needs so much courage to do so. I'm thankful that you are around Chad, some people in that situation I'm sure wouldve given up by now, gone back to the booze and not given an inch of care. But you haven't. You show people that there is a way to live and get through it, even if you have bumps along the way. Open dialogue seems to help with this more than not and if people now know the pain you have they'll hopefully appreciate it, as you will knowing there's people at FG that have always got your back dude.
