Another little gem I came across this week. I've only just started this but from what little I've played, It's really good. Top down, kind of diablo point of view, hack and slash with rouge lite elements I believe? Like I said, I haven't got very far. I'll post more when I've progressed further. Available on Xbox and Steam.

Lol, I think people these days must've looked at Jackals of old and thought, oh that's how I get famous and then forgot they didn't go out to anyone else other than themselves. I had a love hate relationship with Jackass of old as I don't like cringey acts which some were but within it there were some golden moments that they did, usually the ones that their mates didn't know what was going on.

I dunno why they just didn't focus on expanding MW for the next 3 years. They had highly polished game, excellent visuals, a huge amount of work went into the animations and people overall enjoyed it even if their original design philosophies around doors was a bit flawed. Cold War was a downgrade in every respect, Treyarch as per usual didn't bother supporting the game much post-release and instead reverted to their tiresome plan of giving us the same old maps we've played in every one of their games from the past decade. Raven are doing a good job in killing Warzone where there's people even cheating in official tournaments so I think they are very much in a huge mess especially with people growing increasingly tired of the franchise and Battlefield finally making big strides. Soon they'll be focused exclusively on the mobile version and that's it.

I've played a lot of both MW19 and Cold War. MW19 looks better and more polished. Animations and movement feels smoother. Maps were dogshit, loud footsteps. It says something when I played Shipment most of the time, the most broken version of it we have ever seen. Better than most of the other offerings. MW used a lot of recycled maps also and the ones they made were horrible for the most part. Coldwar, rough launch and clunky movements and not as smooth as MW overall. Less appealing on the eye. Lack of content at launch. Heavier SBMM imo that MW began with. Both have many flaws, I think CW was forced too quickly and needed more time. MW19 should of had a longer cycle and CW could of started better. MW19 campers are no joke tho. I like the gun battles and playstyle of CW. People actually rush etc.

I'm starting to see the fantastic benefits of the xbox game pass, this will get installed at some point after a big long list of others I've thought about but never bought. Looks good on the series x👍

my main concern is that it runs a linux distro and even with all the advancements they have made in the gaming scene on the linux side still many games are unplayable or have subpar performance and also you have many programs that don't exist there and i am not talking about office/adobe ones that are unrelated to gaming but modding tools for example are non-existent there and some games almost require them

MW2019 was decent underneath but ruined by piss poor maps and lack of Dead Silence + super loud footsteps made it impossible to rush. Cold War sorted out the footstep issue by giving us Ninja but the maps were still piss poor.

After seeing pranks like that and all these idiotic social experiments, I'd actually welcome vintage pranks like Jackass again - they may be dangerous and stupid but anything is better than the current breed of TikTok shite and YouTube fakery.

I suppose their issue is they have the 3 developers and I imagine at the time they decide to break the contract cycle it was always going to be messy. Lets hope we are seeing what we are talking about as they really could make more of the new MW if it was revisited alongside Warzone.

Yep, this is the draw for me. I've quite a few games like Civ, Anno, WH40k etc that would get a lot more play time on a handheld.

Good point - and they'd be more the types of games I'd play on a hand held. Stop tempting me Phil!! 😄

I hope so too...just not so sure in the PC world we live in now. Just nice to see them mainly doing okay as they get older.

Yeah, very average selection this month

I enjoyed the new Modern Warfare but then they followed up with a downgrade, which is what Cold War was....so I don't expect anything good...and as Lee says, it's all about Warzone now.

Depends on the game, don't need more than 30fps for Civilisation type games for example. What it offers is choice. If they get it right and properly support it, it'll sell by the bucket load.

Whilst i'm not condoning whatever he did on the night, I think its been clarified these are from over 4 years ago. I've seen the pics don't show a great deal of things that went on - more that he fell asleep and that some girls took some photos. It really could've been anything, nothing or something bad, nobody knows.

Hmm.. See, this is the type of game I would play on the Steam Deck lol.

A nice 350g wagyu rump and a 750g sirloin. The Wagyu was an off-the-cuff thing I spotted at Asda, the sirloin was from the Parson's Nose (who do amazing meats). Salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, vacuum bagged. 2h for the sirloin (2" thick, longer time), and 1h for the rump. Both at 60deg. Quick sear in a pan with some olive oil. Served with some proper home-made chips, long stem broccoli with pesto and roasted pine nuts, and a variety of home-made sauces (chimichurri, pepper sauce, steak sauce) and a bottle sauce (everyday Chilli Sauce from Sauce Shop. Lovely.
